I get 600 cash back and they refused to give me and then cancel my membership. They are telling lies. They did get cash back from the websites I shopped and refused to give it to me.

I just start use today, and they charge me 1.97 dolar. ı dont know why and ı cant find. ı dont know it is montly fee?

While checking out my Walmart cart, I got their offer saying get 10% cash back and $20 joining bonus for joining Shopsmarter. This was followed by 3 emails stating the same, that they have a "bonus" of $20. So I went ahead and joined them! My cart was worth $310.

2 days later - I get an email stating my bonus of $20 was approved, but I will get it 5 weeks later!

When I asked about my cashback of 10% (which would be $31), they informed me saying "the initial purchase is not eligible for cashback"! This was a shock to me! They basically cheated me directly of $11, all the while saying they provided me a "bonus" of $20!

I have made 2 purchases since then, of further $300. Still no sign of the savings appearing in my account!

So now I would have given them a trial fee of $1.97 (I don't know what I tried here - since no cashback would come before 5 weeks!), and 1st month fee of $10, with a promise of getting something 5 weeks later (who knows what they will tell me then)!

Overall, a very unhappy customer!

Further communication with Samantha (from Shopsmarter), were on the same lines (read - no resolution, as she kept repeating the rules to me - which were not communicated clearly to help the website). Her response -

"Thank you, this email offers the $20.00 bonus and states the following about cash back;

How does Cash back work?

ShopSmarter uses special shopping links to give you Cash Back on your purchase. When you click any of our deals or buttons to shop at one of our stores, we get notified when you make a purchase. Then, we add 10% of your subtotal to your Savings as Cash Back."

So basically, you get a joining bonus, but wait - you are not eligible for cash back! So we basically give you less than what you would have got as cash back!

False communication, not stating the rules clearly, and then using it for their benefit!

I read the negative reviews and I don't get it. It seems like a problem with Bed/Bath/Beyond. I spend a lot online and always look for a ShopSmarter merchant. I get paid frequently and am very happy. You need to spend over $10o/month to benefit, but my family shops almost exclusively online except for groceries. I can assure anyone it is not a scam, and I hate to see good businesses get bad reviews.

I started in December 2018 I signed up with Shopsmarter and I could not be more happy. I have saved a lot and my check its's always in time. The only thing I would love for them to change is to send the money directly to my bank account instead of a check through mail. But above everything else they are amazing! I'm very happy with this company!

On January 31,2019, I received an email from ShopSmarter.com saying "Claim an introductory rebate of $20 Cash Back for your recent Walmart purchase Just for trying ShopSmarter. I tried it and they did send me a check, but it was only for $10, not $20. I emailed Customer Service several times asking where the other $10 is, and today I received a check for $20. Can't complain about that!

Take away my money without authorization.
3 times without any notification or email/text msg.

I sign up for befrugel, piggy all of them but they never do what they promise. It is always some kind of bs with those others. Today i got a check. I had forgot about signing up and you can cancel anytime so there are no tricks. Great app great customer service 100% will stay with these guys.

Watch your credit cards
February 11, 2019

I have no idea who are what this company is. Since September they have applied hundreds of dollars to my credit card that I never authorized or used don't even know who they are. It's very alarming to think that a company can get personal private information especially when you've never opened even a text message from them or been on this site. I did not read any reviews I am going by my credit card with fraudulent charges that I disputed of course and sure enough somehow got a hold of my card and charged over $500. I highly suggest if you ever went on their site check your credit cards because if they can get my information when I didn't go on there I can't imagine how much damage they could do to someone that did go on this site.

It says nothing about monthly fees until deep into the sign up process in fine prints when you enter your credit card info. This should be stated before the sign up process so people know that it costs so much just to get a little rebate. We didn't realize there is a fee until we see our credit card bill a few weeks later, yet the promised rebate was still not provided. This is not an honest way to do business.

Scam
January 15, 2019

Ordered lap top battery from Walmart.com. Gave my Visa account number. Then my account is charges for membership which I knew nothing about. Chase gave me the phone number. They will credit my account. And wait for them to refund my money. Thank You Chase.

I have purchased thousands of dollars of products through their system and their "cash back" only is hitting a small percentage of them. When you contact customer service they always have a generic reason for not paying. They never actually give you documentation that specifies what they have received or the specific reason for denial (or even if they have denied).

It's a joke. Seemed too good to be true... and I was correct:(

This service is awful. They will fish you under "get 10$ or whatever back from purchasing today", you will be like, nice 10$, but no, they will take your card, signed up you for membership without telling you. Do NOT get fished them!

DON'T DO IT! IT'S A SCAM

I signed up for the $20 rebate and when I signed up and called in to confirm, I got a customer service agent that said Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it. Unless you want me to have someone call you back. I waited and no call. I have cancelled my account and want my $1.97 back! I feel like I have wasted so much time with ShopSmarter when there are so many other companies that actually follow thru with their commitments!

December 4, 2018

They closed an old account of mine so I was forced to make a new one. So I did and made some purchases over Black Friday. Now they closed this account saying I cant have 2 accounts. Problem is they closed my old account and I have no access to that account so how the heck am I supposed to use an account that is closed? They stole all my cashback. Im convinced thats how this company makes their money. They steal peoples money. Stay far away because this is the second time I have had problems getting my money from these people.

Saying one will get a FREE TRIAL, they charge $1.97 to the credit card without permission which is NOT FREE as they stated. Then, absolutely no ostrucions whatsoever as how to "get $10 back for this current purchase that you just made". I took a screenshot of that email from their order however ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE is the email address to send that to listed on their site, thus literally STEALING $11.97 from you. Because, a of this, writing to their customer service to get that email, no one responds at all, then click a button to "cancel membership", INSTEAD OF CANCELING the message indicates that they have instead billed $10 MORE to a credit card even though they were given
Permission to bill ZERO dollars to this card and are required by their terms to send me a $10 check for my WalMart online order as well. I have to click CANCEL MEMBERSHIP when they dont respond or send me $10 at all, in addition to charging a $1.97 which I also did not agree to authorize for their "free trial", but when I click "cancel", they claim that "the membership will continue to be valid until 1/1/2019, which is more then a month from now, which indicates that they have illegally charged an acquaintence's credit card already, even though it has NOT even been 7 days since the time, and EVEN IF they had correctly charged $0 for the free trial and correctly sent me a check for $10 and if I also decided to continue membership via entering a different credit card which is acceptable to make a charge of 1 cent or more to - EVEN in that case this charge is 2 days early before 7 days and without permission.

They offer 10 dollars for a sign-up of 1.97. Who wouldn't do that. After they charge you the 1.97 they let you know they won't send the 10 dollars until after the first month that they take 10 from you. I'm guessing even if i kept the service they would not pay out more than they brought in. That's how business works.
