I purchased some vitamins from "Protein World" from a SweatCoin offer. The purchase was made through ShopSmarter. I got the vitamins a few days ago, good. However I was later charged from ShopSmarter because I guess I had created a membership with them. I wasn't supposed to have to pay anything so I emailed ShopSmarter customer service for a refund and they IMMEDIATELY fixed the problem. So basically I didnt have experience actually as a member but just writing a review to say how great the customer service is!
I made an online purchase on Bedbathandbeyond and received email regarding shipment confirmation that says "You are qualified for $10 cash back for this purchase". After following steps on Shop Smarter they ask for Credit card number. I contacted Shop Smarter to find out why it's necessary and they confirmed there's no $10 cash back. Credit card number would be used to charge monthly membership. So this offer was fake in order to get customers' credit card numbers for membership. Scam.
I can't rate it I have never used it. I didn't even know I had it but they have been charging my debit card $10 a month for 2 years. Apparently it's a pop up on Bed Bath and Beyond on line and that's how they snag you. I got scammed on Pyramid Collection for a $15 a month VIPprogram didn't know I had. So this is going to go on and on. Is there anyone who can stop these scammers.

I made a purchase on Bed Bath and Beyond on Sep 7th and received shopsmarter's link to claim 10% cash back on my order. They ask for credit card details to transfer cash back. I did not receive any cash back but a charge on my credit card. I cancelled the membership and i was told that I have access until Sep15th but then I am not able to login to my account to check about my 10% cash back. This website tricks to get the creditcard information and is a big scam. There is no clear information about any charge
I only trusted this link because it came with the order confirmation email from Bed Bath and Beyond. This was my last purchase from Bed Bath and Beyond (online and in store) because they promote scam websites.
Why you charged money on my account and i did not receive any cash back? Why i am not able to access the account I created?
I also attached here the cancellation proof because I do not want you to keep charging on my credit card.

I have found this site a money saver for me. I have received $72,30 in 3 months and yes I pay a fee, but I order most everything online, because I am handicapped and don't have a car, and carrying things in to my apartment would be difficult even if some one took me. I think that people have to realize that most people are not going to make huge purchases every month and must follow all the restrictions for each site, such as (no easy pay). There is a learning curve and I made some mistakes in the beginning, but I am happy making at least a little over what my fee is, or more. The average purchaser must realize they may not get rich, but they can get a return for their investment if they are frequent online shoppers, and always remember they must go through the Shopsmarter site, You still come out more ahead than just ordering online without ShopSmarter even if you get free shipping as they don't cover shipping charges.

As all cash back programs, IC Shop Smart is designed to profit from any unsuspecting buyer who incurs into using an online coupon for a percentage discount. The program snatches the buyer's personal and credit information with automatic enrollment. The program purports to warm in small letters that the buyers are being enrolled in a monthly charge. But truth be told, the company's interest can well exceed the buyer's benefits. Obviously how else can a cash program sustain its own operation if not by sequestering the information from unsuspecting buyers at the tune of over $120 a year?. Most people who follow their bank information eventually catches on their disadvantage early enough, and fortunately IC Shop Smart does acknowledge, for their own security, any one wishing to cancel the service and getting their money reimbursed. However, the legality of the cash back program remains unchallenged until a class action suit is delivered on behalf of unsuspecting clients.
I signed up and did not receive any cash back. I would have to call and email my receipt multiple times even though the purchase was done on their website. When the cash back was small I would get a check. When I purchased a costly item with cash back of $40 They would never give cashback but would for months charge me the monthly fee while I continually sent emails of the receipt with proof of purchase. Finally my fees went way beyond any benefit that the service claimed. I did however insist on a refund on some of my monthly charges which I received.

They charged me 3 dollars when I entered my info. They then tried to charge my card 10 more dollars but my card was declined. Then today, they made a unauthorised charge to my account.

They trick people into thinking they are getting a good deal, but they are ripping you off with their hidden member ship fees. They suck!
They don't disclose from the beginning that there's a membership fee. This isn't like Ebates. Sure, it's disclosed in the Terms & Condition but honestly, who reads the entire thing thoroughly? They only advertise that you can get $10 cash back. I immediately cancelled and requested a refund. The customer service is helpful... I'm sure because they deal with this all the time. Just stick with Ebates to get cash back.

It doesn't tell you the membership fee when you sign up. I never get any money back. The customer service is nice because they have already got your money. You can cancel your membership at any time, but no refund.

Purchased an item at Walmart thinking I would get $10 off if I signed up for shopsmarter (which I assumed was free). Shopsmarter did not make it clear that their is a $1.97 trial fee plus a $9.97 fee after the trial. Overall, I am extremely disappointed.

Joined solely for the $10 rebate from a purchase already made. Come to find out, they charge you upon enrollment (reoccurring $10) and mailed a check that arrived well after the "free trial" period. So had I not cancelled immediately, I would have been in the hole even after cashing that check.

Right before the cash back pay time, ShopSmarter lock my account, the lame excuse is they THINK (assume) my account is for business purposes. In another words, they want to keep the money that I got paid from retailers to their themselves, so they lock my account right before they should pay cash back. Other cash back websites, Ebates, Befrugal, Topcash is free to join, and NEVER lock customers account no matter what the cash back balance is. DON'T use ShopSmarter, this company is very fishy doing business, and if you find complain, you can't even find address on the website, I have to Google to find out it is owned by Ckarys Ciommerce, LLC in CT so I can filed a complaint to BBB in CT.
