Such a big company but no customer service #. Been using it for 5 years now, increased my business over 500%, sales are now in the millions but no account manager or any help except chat. They can shut your business or freeze it whenever they want (I know because it has happened to me), even if what they say makes no sense and they CONTRADICT THEMSELVES in their emails. Takes 24 hours for them to email you back when you have a serious issue, and they still don't resolve it even when you do exactly what they say. My advice: avoid this company like the plague.

It is February and still no 1099-K. Every year the same thing. All other eCommerce sites have them already. NOT SHOPIFY
Shopify thinks that all people are stupid and can't seek a legal action against their scamming tricks. I have many evidence that this company is stealing their customers. They always create and support new scamming shops to steal people and the majority of these shops have Shop Pay as the first payment option and all of them are powered by shopify. In fact Shopify knows that some of thier customers are aware of their tricks for scamming but they are not ashamed for all their thefts. I'm a part of a group of people who have been scammed by shopify and their made up scamming shops and we will make this company shut down. Actually we have solid evidence and smart lawyers. It's a matter of time. I gave "Shop Pay" which is "Shopify" a time limit to sort this issue and I emailed them through my hotmail email and hope to hear from Mr Mario and his manager very soon otherwise your platform will be SHUT DOWN FOR EVER + you will be exposed on the BBC.
Shopify facilitates interaction between the seller and the end customer. It's an amazing resource for small businesses to grow their client base within a short period of time.
But of course you have to make a decent product first.

Shopify won't allow you to set-up your account with a pre-paid debit or credit card. They force a merchant to use their own Visa or MC. I knew this was going to be a problem when I set-up the account because it makes cancellations difficult because of their auto renew. Yes, I got burned by Shopify because I wanted to cancel and they disputed my CC and I lost. I have not used their service over a year and I was forced to pay for a service that I do not use and they misrepresented the ease of setting up a web site. My loss. Hope this helps.
I used Shopify as a third-party to place an order thinking that in the event that there was an issue with my order, Shopify would assist in resolving it, but they did not. They let me know that if I had an issue with my order, I needed to contact the merchant, directly or my bank, because they are not there for assistance, I will never use them as a third-party ever again I will continue to send my business through PayPal
I tried this shopify along with using DSers and Aliexpress to become a drop shipping business from CA. I started with my account last year 11-1-2022 upto 11-1-2023 I tried canceling with them and nothing this site does not allow you to close your account I had 700 items on this website nothing sold I was $25 USD dollars cheaper than Amazon & ebay it has been a year I wasted my time I did the listings & registration correctly they always collected the $105.00 each month on the 1st. I had to report them to my Chase bank the number provided online for customer service is a crock it is a call center from India they sell other services it was awful this shopify & Temu website is bad! To the core they come from China, Korea and Hong Kong. Do not do any business with this shady company all reviews that show positive are lies they created those reviews I lost $1,260.00 plus the $3.00 from the beginning for the first three months, They kept collecting $ from my bank so I finally went this 10/28/23 to close my business bank account so shopify cannot have access to it anymore I had to reopen a new banking account with Chase Bank but I lost all that money their online contract is a legal solid money stealing contract you agree with at the beginning not knowing you cannot cancel the account with shopify. This 11/1/23 no money was taken from my new bank account this makes me be at peace. Don't let this happen to you I am a widower with two children I was trying to better my income & I had to learn this hard lesson. I wouldn't want anyone to go through this, I was a sucker, Never again! Youtube people who swear about this is full of malarkey, They are getting paid from shopify to create commercials on youtube, smart thinking but dishonest I don't understand how these youtubers can sleep at night creating harm to many of us in the USA. They should be band. If you have the same issue as I did close your bank account and reopen another so shopify does not have any access to your bank account, I threw away all online banking statements since I had closed my bank account so please believe me or go ahead and lose your money to these thieves see what happens you will remember my words
Shopify increase price $25 to $39 and website still show $25 its a bad way to attract customer 1st pay $1 for three month and then every month $39 NOT $25 very bad shame shopify
We shifted from Intuit POS to Shopify POS as recommended by Intuit. Unfortunately, customer service support is very poor with this company. We seek help concerning Shopify Payments for a year ago and was never resolved. We gave-up and used paypal & amazon pay for all our credit card and online transactions. SAD to say but we have to go back in dealing with Shopify customer service who does not render the necessary services to make our business grow. It seems that everyone in shopify customer service is very irresponsible in resolving important issues of their sellers/subscribers.
TO INTUIT... why did you entrust us to Shopify.

I had to change point of sale system from quickbooks and they recommended Shopify. What a nightmare! The information does not map properly with Quickbooks desktop connector and nobody can figure out how to fix it. They say they will look into problem but don't. Payouts take more than 5 days to come into back. They are not charging proper tax even though I set this up properly. So many problems and not one Shopify customer service person can figure out anything. They are friendly but not helpful. If I could go back I would never choose Shopify. Terrible system and not user friendly
Have had it 5 years, and have not been able to implement a decent website. Even if you know html, and different website development language it is super fragmented in its capacity sending you on a wild goose chase forever. Super frustraing!
Read all the negative reviews! They are the worst I've seen in 25 years of running my business. If I ran my company like Shopify runs theirs, I'd be a janitor somewhere by now. Without question they are the worst when it comes to supporting their store owners. Particularly disturbing is their propensity to keep your money for disputes that only they claim to be witness to. IMO, they are more fraudulent than the few scammers they seem to be so worried about. Thank heavens I control my website so I can say adios. Buh-bye. If you choose to roll the dice with these unscrupulous, bureaucratic, incompetent people, then make sure you use your own separately registered domain and then point it to your store. That way, when you get fed up like so many of us have, you can at least bring your new customers with you. Also, insist on going with a payment processor that takes calls. I assure you Shopify does not. Their chat support is laughably bad too. You've been warned.
This company is a joke. They charge extra for "priority" support. I'm currently on their priority support and have been waiting and listening to the godawful hold music for 45 minutes. The support people that finally answer are working from a script, full of "please thank you for kindly waiting while I put you on a brief hold once more" while they try to understand your question. None of them have any knowledge of the product and can't answer the simplest questions. The product is full of limitations and you are basically on your own except for irritating, screeching hold music. If I could give this company zero stars, I would.
HORRIBLE customer service! I've been dealing with them for an entire MONTH now. They pass you around to a new support advisor constantly, I've spoken to at least 10 at this point. The absolute worst customer service experience ever.
The account I had was closed 8 months ago, they completely misrepresent this b.s app, I look at my bank account these scam artists took 380 dollars for a year subscription, 8 MONTHS ITS CLOSED, NOW I CAN'T GET A HUMAN BEING, CAN'T GET ANY HELP, THEY HIT MY ACCOUNT 5 DIFFERENT TIMES UNTIL THE PAYMENT WENT THROUGH!

I have tried for several days to get my website going - I just keep running into multiple roadblocks when it comes to customizing it for my needs. The worst thing is I've spent around $400 for a theme and fees and gotten nowhere because of their terrible UI for non-developer types.
The custom templates don't update, the metafields and meta definitions is a totally confusing way to try and have custom items in your shop.
I can't believe they're allowed to take your money and not refund you when you want to walk away from their crappy platform - even if you never published the site to begin with - it's just a big scam and they prey upon small business owners trying to do things themselves. If I had someone pay me for a product and I didn't deliver - I would be sued and forced out of business - shopify has done this over and over again by the looks of these reviews - but good luck going after Shopify alone. Maybe someday a tort lawyer will get a class action lawsuit against them and I would happily join in on that.
Answer: Shopify is not a scam. Some sellers that use the platform could potentially be scammers.
Answer: Google ads are integrated with shopify so it's pretty simple. You can list and sync products on eBay directly from your shopify store. However you also need an eBay account which is separate.
