I'm happy and thankful that online selling platforms, like Shopee, exist. In this time of crisis, going out to buy products is too risky. I'm just glad that the things I want are just a click away. I bought lovely items and transacted with kind and legit sellers, both local and foreign, and I got what I paid for, and so much more, trust. Though I have to admit that buyer's patience will be tested, especially for overseas orders, since the lead time takes too long because of the on going community quarantine. Just a word for those who got scammed, I undertsand that you lost your hard earned cash, and it's really frustrating not to get your money's worth, but always always remember that online shopping is not without its risk. If the deal is too good to be true, then it is. Check seller ratings, if the sales with negative feedbacks are just in a span of days-weeks, don't transact. And if the costs reach 4-digits or more, always choose COD, or better yet, buy in legitimate physical stores if possible.

Beware of some Shopee Ph sellers, they are fly-by-night, they will receive your payment through Shopee pay, then they will just indicate in the Shopee System that the ordered items were delivered but actually were not. What makes it more disappointing is that Shopee Ph will not reimburse your money paid through their Shopee Pay just because it was already indicated in their system by the unscrupulous seller as delivered even without any proof of delivery. Very weak Shopee support to their Buyers. For your money security, better avail of the COD.

Don't buy from Shopee. I was the most time cheated... to Christmas not one of my orders I got... The money I got back after 3 month fighting. It was a sum of 4000 Pesos.

They don't honor their promises. They don't instruct you how to get cashback. When I complained 2x, Their "Help" told me they consider my feedback, but their rules can't give me the money I'm owed. Management is unavailable, and I know they could fix it if they want to. In effect, though not purposeful, They robbed me of P3240 that I was supposed to get as 10% cashback! My purchase was p32,400! Three cellphones! I asked about how to get cashback many times. I never got a good answer. They could give me credit easily, but their rules don't allow it. And HELP doesn't contact management.

Shopee scam

Some, not all sellers from shopee are not transparent. They brand their items as authentic when it is not. When pressed for info most will not tell you outright if it is.
Clone or original or second hand. Shopee tolerates scammers and dubious sellers. They dont have a firm grip on sellers selling via their platform. Even if an item is legit delivery takes an eternity to be received. Shopee is a very poor online selling platform. I got stood up by an overseas seller and had to cancel. Shopee does not even sanction erring sellers. They are atill there hoping to scam some more gullible buyers.

I am rating from 1-10 (1 - low rating, 10 - high rating)

People at Shopee - Very bad customer service from email, chat and dispute support team. Very incompetent staff. They need trainings.

Process - Very long process of 3-5 days to resolve a very simple case. Unclear contradicting process of return/ refund orders. This gives me the feeling that their process is anti-customer and more on protective bogus/ scam sellers.

Technology - They have technology like an app, email, etc but seems they are not trained to use this resources.

Communication - Very poor/ lack of communication within the team members Chat, Email and Dispute Team.

SHOPEE needs to level up their standards of accepting sellers. There's a lot of bogus seller who do deliver incomplete items. It can be considered as mistake if only happen once but it happens to 2, 3, 4 customers. Shopee is not doing anything to investigate. And after the refund they will convert your refunded money as a Shopee pay? Can u imagine that policy? Please note that Shopee employee informed me on this policy. There is no $#*!ing way I will use this app.

P.S. Please next time put an option where we can put zero or negative stars.

I seldom write reviews but this time I should let Shopee and the public know. First a Shopee Seller (SMStore) sold and sent me 2 defective ( out of 10 items). I returned the 2 defective items and now Shopee is giving me a hard time to give me a refund after all the email exchanges and pictures. My case has a different agent and case number everytime I call or email Shopee so it is very easy to confuse and delay refund processing. All in all Shopee Philippines and SM Store (a supplier) you both deserve a WAY BELOW ONE STAR RATING

I have nothing against Chinese, as a matter of fact i usually buy at their shop in Shopee. But one time my sister asked me to check out a baby crib if it looks sturdy or presentable enough as she's planning to buy it as a gift. When i checked it i'm surprised because it only costs P350 so i checked the reviews of this shop, it has a rating of 2/5 which is bad! And all the reviews says they did not receive their orders. And since i checked that crib there's a lot of related items on my feed (stroller, toys, baby car, etc). And to my surprise i saw more or less 10 overseas shop with 2/5 ratings and with reviews that the item were not received. I reported it to shopee thru email and they are not bothered at all. After 2 weeks i checked and those stores are still operating at shopee.

I ordered in shopee last December and paid it already because in my address COD is not available. I waited for my orders and I never receive any notice from the courier. It has been 3 weeks before my shopee guarantee expired. So I decided to get a refund. The seller disputed it. And shopee canceled my refund. Wtf shopee, it's not my fault. It's your website's fault and courier. I will never purchased anymore from you! Your $#*! company.

If it only allowed to give 0 rating, I would definitely do.
So, these photos shows how many times Shopee kept asking me to wait and every time I ask for a follow up. All Shopee does is to ask me again to waiy for another 2 days. Has anyone been experiencing this? Shopee started asking me to wait for my refund since the 23rd. The next day I made a follow-up, Shopee then asked me to wait again. Until this day, December 29! How many days are 2 days to you Shopee? Don't you have any word?

Fyi, I still have another screenshot of Shopee asking me to wait again. I think I am sending an email to a robot. It kept sending on the same email draft or spiel over and over again.
Nobody's trying to solve my problem.

Had secret santa at the office and the person I picked out didn't know any better than to order something on stupid Shopee, and as the item was breakable I had no choice but to have it shipped directly to her. Payment was incredibly inconvenient > NO CREDIT CARD (what kind of online shopping doesn't take credit cards?) and the bank was a pain in $#*! to go to > the online payment option didn't work, of course. And look > the thing said 3-8 days after payment confirmation. It's been 10 days, and the person never got it. SO EMBARRASSING. Way to go, Shopee. I want my freaking money back (which of course I'm never going to get. First and last time I am using this stupid excuse for an online shopping site. I am so telling everyone I know to stay the f--- away. Of course the payment confirmation says "auto generated" / "do not reply" > cos they don't wanna hear it when you complain for throwing your money away on a delivery that was never made.

Seller did not shipped the item. Fully paid after 2 weeks order still not cancelled. They will tel you it will be auto cancel after 24-48 hrs but never did. After 2 weeks they promise the same thing over and over again. Worst customer service. Their support are useless. Ive contacted different support but no one seems to solve the case or they have no ways to do so. NO BUYER PROTECTION PRO SELLER. WORST JUST WORST. AS OF WRITING MY CASE STILL NOT RESOLVED OMG. NEVER WILL I TRANSACT WITH THEM ANYMORE.

Bought a food voucher and went to the restaurant branch as stated. Staff said not aware of it. Chat with seller no reply. Chat with shopee for refund they say ask seller. But seller no reply. Turn here and there push here and there end up nothing is refund. Satisfy with lazada more.

Terrible... Just terrible

If you try to order something, there is no way to pay and no information. I received a text message that my order was at my house and I was not home nor did I know that the order even went through! The delivery person called me the next day and said he was at my house. Again, I was not home and was not informed when the order would arrive. He hung up on me and I guess he sent it back. No information, misinformation and just one TERRIBLE company!

Shady business tactic

They promised 12.12 all sellers have a minimum of RM12 free shipping. Then on that day, shopee start changing all your vouchers to RM12 shipping vouchers (even when you have a RM40 ones). But when I tried purchase some items, shipping voucher cannot be applied coz apparently, the voucher cannot be applied to these items. What nonsense is that?! Then comes to those overseas sellers giving away vouchers to claim. After claiming and have waited in anticipation for 12.12 to arrive and have purchased using vouchers for each sellers, they came back as tell you the vouchers are not for this platform. Some even came right out and lied they are out of stock or item is not in good conditions to be sold, and ask me to cancel and refund. Went on Shopee chat and chatted with Shopee customer service, they couldn't do nothing about it. Just keep in saying sorry for the inconvenience caused. What will happen if you don't cancel? Seller will eventually cancel (buyer cannot dispute) and get penalty by shopee or wait till the shipping out date expired then seller get penalty. All in all, shopee gets all the benefits. We as buyers get nothing in compensation or any goodwill gesture for the trouble we went through. Without us buyers to boost your business, you are just nothing. Might as well get back and support Laz. Shipping might be slightly expensive and took longer on some stuff but they don't engage in some shady business tactic like shopee. Might I add... Customer service is crappy and unprofessional.

This is perhaps my first time writing a negative review. I'm not the type to but I feel strongly for this experience not to happen to anyone else. Hence, this review.

Consistent with some reviews i read, i made one refund request last month which vendor approved. The problem was shopee failed to pick up the items for return and cancelled my refund request which then generated a series of complaints and response exchanges (over 10 case numbers). What irks me is that after finally approving the refund, they decided to suspend my account. I have bought tons of things with shopee and i think this is only my 2nd return due to defective product. What is worse is that they said they cannot disclose the suspicious activity that led to the suspension of my account (see image). The supervisor Anna said if i have read the terms in section 1.4 and that shopee is free to change the account status however they see fit. I don't mind actually but at least tell me what i did. Don't send me to jail and not disclose what i offense i did. I did not curse, i did not shout, i just made my demands firmly because that is my customer right. I also compared their customer service with Lazada which i had a good experience with. If those are reasons for suspending my account, don't you think there is something seriously wrong with the system in this company?

Buyer Beware. With online shops, one is sometimes left helpless because there is no one to talk too. And with customer service people like the many I've spoken with, you are bound to just hit a brick wall. They are poorly trained (not knowledgable, operate within a box and not empowered to make decisions, arrogant and impolite, not customer service oriented). Email responses and phone responses are not synced which results in miscom. Shopee may be an online shop but the customers are real people. They are not robots so your rules and service should take that into account. I hope someone from Shopee
Management reads this and make improvements.
