Compared to buying directly from the brand and other retailers Shadestation is more competitively priced and delivery was quicker than expected! Very impressed and will be now my go to place for eyewear and sunglasses

Ordered some Gucci shades which were slightly delayed due to a security check but still arrived in good time. However, I specifically wrote on the note do NOT give me the yellow case. What did they do? They gave me the yellow case. Either they can't read or this was their attempt at a sick joke. It was meant to be a gift but it's an ugly case! Will never shop here again.

I ordered a pair of sunnies on 24 November. By 14 December they still had not been received so I contacted the company. Hey presto - suddenly they decided to ship them! Still haven't been received (23 Dec). Useless customer service. They appear to be in administration, and I should have checked here first - an average of two stars! STAY AWAY

Ordered glasses it was the wrong item and contacted them, I was asked to return it back and they will replace it. Which I did on the 30th of November 2022, due to strike they received my parcel on the 6th December by which time I came to know that they had changed administration, so I kindly emailed and asked them to resend or refuse the deliver as it clearly did not belong to them and they were refusing to issiue me a refund or exchange or return back my item which I paid for I. Full! I have been contacting them but they are refusing to send me back the item I purchased and they accepted knowing full well it belong to the pervious administration clients! I offered to pay for the delivery fee or arrange for a pick up but all I get is we can not issiue you refund talk to the bank. I spoke to my bank and they obviously contacted this company and they said the item was delivered on the 28th of November but did not tell the bank that it was returned and they are dodgy pigs who refused to send me back my own item that was paid for in full! I will be taking this further! It's not the money but the principles of business and one they clearly lack! Disgustingly horrible behaviour!

We appreciate this is very upsetting for any customers that have placed orders on or before 30/11/2022 and this is why we are trying to advise customers of other avenues they have to resolve their issues.

Utterly atrocious company. Placed an order on the 30th November 2022 and was informed today as I've still not received my glasses that the company has entered insolvency on the date I placed my order! Still no glasses, no ability to return them for a refund and no clarification if they'll ever arrive. What a waste of money! Avoid this company.

Your order was placed in November 2022, at the point when the previous company operating Shade Station entered insolvency. We were not involved in, or able to influence, how orders were handled during that period.
From what you’ve described, your experience was clearly unacceptable, and we fully recognise how frustrating and concerning that must have been. The review reflects a very difficult time for the business, and we don’t seek to dispute that.
Since then, Shade Station has been taken over under new ownership and rebuilt from the ground up, with a completely new team, systems and operational standards, and we now operate at a consistently high service level across thousands of customer orders. We’re genuinely disappointed and embarrassed that experiences like this form part of our history.

Bought a pair of Ray Bans.
Arrived within 3 days (I'm in the UK). Genuine glasses - in Ray ban box, ray ban serial number on the arm etc
And in brand new condition.
Lots of other reviewers here had bad experiences - so thought I would share mine, as I was a bit nervous when buying

Don't waste your money with this company. They maybe a little cheaper than other companies but they will send you a product that is used before. Then when you return the faulty/used item you have to pay for the postage. Their customer service is rubbish too as they don't keep their promise.
I made a mistake and ignored other negative reviews and this has cost me time and money. I am yet to receive my refund! AVOID

I searched for a popular designer pair of shades, THIS WEBSITE OFFERED THEM FOR $30 LESS, however after entering my payment via PayPal, it seemed to keep buffering; upon reading the reviews... I'm elated, I'd rather pay extra to ensure a better experience.

Ordered versace ve2140 from shadestation on next day delivery. Arrived the next day, in a labelled box with a case for the sunglasses and they had the model number on proving they are real and were perfect. I will definitely buy from them again. Brilliant company.

I found some sunglasses that I was after on the shade station website and they were about $120 cheaper than in Australia. I found them even cheaper on another website but I was unsure about the legitimacy of the other website so I tried the price match feature on SS and it worked! Very happy, the sunglasses shipped in 6 days.

Resist their budget price tag and shop at a more trustworthy retailer. I thought I would be lucky, even after reading the negative reviews. But I'm sorry to say that the negative reviews posted here are all accurate and match my own experience with this laughable company. I'm not sure what the owners, David and Jocelyn, think they're playing at, but it's really poor business and shoddy conduct all round.
At the very least (and this is the reason for the two- and not one-star review), the delivery was fast and the prescription lenses were correct. But the product had misleading photos and looked either counterfeit, a cheap-n-nasty rejected model, or pre-used.
To be honest, I'm just going to let them keep my money, because I can see how complex and long-winded and infuriating the refund process has been for other customers.
Prospective ShadeStation shoppers, look elsewhere!

Purchased a pair of sunglasses (almost £300) which were faulty on arrival, the hinges were loose and the frame stretched as though they had been worn on someone's head and widened. When I put them on they would slide straight off my face. I notified the company and they told me to send back for an exchange or refund, I incurred extra charges to return the item signed for and Refund was delayed a week after item received back to be met with the excuse that the hinges were not faulty yet they had found not one but TWO scratches on the item (yeah sure) so therefore were going to return the item to me as would not refund! I've been absolutely ripped off, I really wish I had checked the reviews prior to order as I would never have purchased from these dodgy people! Don't waste your money!

I purchased a pair of black Oliver Peoples Ryce frames to replace the ones I currently have. I typically trust my gut and I was wary as the reviews were not that great. The frames arrived and were astoundingly horrible knockoffs. I might have kept them had they been remotely like the originals but, these were so bad it was laughable. The frames were made of super cheap plastic and looked like something I could scoop up for 6 dollars at a Venice beach sunglasses stall. I paid the high shipping fee and returned them. Thankfully, they gave me a refund promptly, but the disappointment still has left a bad taste. Never again. Buyer beware!
