I recently had my car serviced
I recently had my car serviced. Service stop advised that items that had been recently replaced be replaced again ie auxiliary belt needs replacing when I had just replaced the cam belt and water pump. The auxiliary belt was also changed. Also Items that I had checked elsewhere and they advised that they did not need replacing. I have emailed twice for some one to contact guess what no one has contacted me at present. Not a happy customer. At present would not use the again

The collection, communication and delivery were good. However, what was disappointing is very aggressive upsale - I have always used standard engine oil for my car, but they called to say they will only do specialist oil (extra £30). The windscreen wiper blade needed changing - I was charged £51.00 for one of this. Have never had to spend more than £20-25 on a single wiper blade. They apparently only do the 'best". I was called twice to convince me of additional "advisories" (and the always came with warning - 'if-you-don't-get -this done, your -car-is-doomed type). I was almost given no option but to agree to other advisories which cost a fortune - I knew I was being taken for a ride, but felt like being in a trap. So the supposed 'service & MOT deal' at the end turned out to be not quite so! The other frustrating part was trying to call them back - you'll be lucky if you get through. I gave up after several attempts, only option is email. I wish I had read this Guardian article before falling for this supposed deal: "Servicing Stop charges can start to add up" (if you google it, you will find the Guardian article)

On 20th May 2021, I called servicing stop to do my annual full service and MOT on my car. I nearly had a heart attack when I received the call from them quoting £972.43 for all the so called work done to my car. Since May my car has been back to the garage 4 times, for work which should of been completed if I had a full service done as quoted. I tried to contact the so customer service team, which wasn't helpful at all. You email them they take 5-10 working days to reply really what bull$#*! is that? They lack in empathy and the customer service is zero to none when you speak to them on the phone. They are the worst company that could have ever been built. They should of stayed in Dragons Den and the person who invested in them should be a shamed of themselves. If you're car needs work use any other company apart from this one. It's weird because I wrote a review on their personal website but it's not there! All the reviews are 4/5stars which I know are all lies or fake!

Very terrible service. Unbelievably expensive, loads of hidden charges. After paying the service/labour charge of £97 upfront, when car got to the garage and they then asked for another £450. I asked them what the £97 paid covered and details of the additional £450. No concrete and clear response than ‘‘you should have been made aware there may extra costs''
When I declined to go ahead with the service and asked for my refund, I was told the £97 is gone and will need to pay £46 to release the car even if I no longer want to go ahead with the service.
Honestly, have no choice so I paid to release my car. Besides, lost complete confidence in this company/garage. Complete scamming and horrifying experience.

BE WARNED. By using servicingstop to have your cars repaired you are guaranteed to be ripped off because its part of their business model. Just to give you an idea by how much, a service job plus MOT that would normally cost around £220.00 plus VAT cost over £500.00 plus vat. If you go with them the contract is between you and servicestop and servicestop contract with the garage servicing/repairing your car. They then more than double the price to you. I can understand adding a reasonable margin of say 10-20 percent but more than 100 percent is just extortion. I learned my lesson the hard way and hope you will be far more savvy than me. I made my thoughts very clear to them and if not for that the final invoice would have been even higher.

At first I thought I had a good deal booking with them. Then they call me to say that I needed to pay for a Special Oil for which I said I did not wanted but I had no choice (Long lasting oil, that is supposed to hold at least until your next Service) Therfore Oil £29.99 + £9.59 for environmental surcharge + £7.19 for fluid top up total £46.76 for which I had no choice but to pay if I wanted my car released!
Anyway when booking there system should tell you if your car needs special oil. It's all marketing and Priced to mislead you. WHATCH OUT!

Took an old very low mileage ford ka in for a service and MOT.
I had to take it there, as missed the call and couldn't return the call. A voicemail said they will call again, but they didn't. So I finished off dropping it off.

Passed the MOT without any problems. Had a call from Service Stop saying I needed specialist oil, which a 17 year old car doesn't! Only eight valves and no turbo. Then they wanted to replace the brake fluid and antifreeze. My local garage charged me £39 to replace brake fluid. They wanted £80 to replace the brake fluid! The best of all, my car has an old fashioned fan belt (alternator belt). Not a timing belt! Quoted just short of £200! LOL. I can pick one up for £12.99. This company is relying on the customer not having a clue and agreeing to anything. Quite simply, they hook you with a cheap service and then sting you for any remedial work.

Therefore, take advantage of the cheap service and MOT, but whatever, do not let them carry out any additional work.

I booked the full service and MOT together. They gave me a MOT Fail first. I certainly did not want to buy your service to get a MOT fail. Why didn't do the service first? Very disappointing service!

Never use this platform!

Booked and paid last year for an MOT & Service, around £125 in total. Great. Got the phone call later saying various other work needed doing, the car was 3 years old and in very good condition, total came to over £500 on top of the fee's I'd already paid. They get very ratty when you challenge them over the phone too. They did the work before letting me know as well! The cheek! And unnecessarily too. Avoid, it's a total con.

Worst service ever. Yesterday they picked the car at 11 am which was supposed to be picked by 8:30- 9:30. And was supposed to be delivered same day by 6 pm. But it is not yet delivered. They do not give direct number to the person who is picking and delivering or who is working so that we can know the status. And the garage closed at 5 pm. Yesterday we waited for any update from them that the car will not be delivered. We waited till now. But nothing from there end. We called the customer support after 30 minutes waiting time we got into the line. And they were asking what's the status.
We really do not know if they will deliver our car today also or not. And we do not know what they might have used our car for the whole night. What if they are doing crimes using our car. It's our biggest mistake that we used this service. Never believe this service please.
The statements they are using in there site like ‘if not delivered same day it will be free' is totally rubbish. Yesterday at 5 when we called they charge 120£ and asked us to pay that much money, else they won't deliver. We did paid that much money and still waiting for our car to be returned. Forget about servicing what they might have done we really don't know. We are not getting our car plus we are spending money in cabs plus so much stress we are going through. If the car will not be delivered today by 5pm we have to inform police. Because God knows what they are using the car for.

THEY LEFT A COSTED SERVICE SHEET IN MY CAR WHICH WAS FOR A VERY VERY BASIC SERVICE. THEY ACTUALLY CHARGED ME 4 TIMES THAT INCLUDING EXTRA WORK UNDOUBTEDLY NOT DONE!
NOT ONLY THAT THE SERVICE LOG BOOK WASN'T SIGNED AND THEY IGNORE AND DONT REPLY TO YOU ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY BEFORE RELEASING YOUR CAR.

Should of read reviews had car in for full service I should of realised was to cheap had call from service adviser sayin extras needed put price up sayin it would be over 500pounds I said no not going to pay it just do the limit needed was still 165quid extra on top of the 74 I paid to get car back from the garage rip off will never use again

Last month I booked my car in for an MOT and service tomorrow. There were a few issues with the booking system but today at 1600 a message was left on my phone saying that couldn't be done today but might be able to do next Wednesday. No apology, no resilience and my MOT runs out on Friday. DO NOT USE THEM - they will let you down.

I paid up front for a full service and MOT on my ancient Metro which was collected by a local garage as agreed. Danial, "your customer service manager" phoned me to advise that the Metro needed "special oil" at almost £30 and track rod rubbers (no sir, it is not an MOT failure) at almost £180. I disputed both but after some pressure agreed to the oil. An email was sent to me to pay for the extra before the car would be released, but the amount was nothing like I'd agreed to, I could not click with the "proceed to Payment" unless I agreed to a service and MOT for the following year. I tried emailing, telephoning and trying to find their "website AI chat to an advisor" function on their website. Nothing; zilch. I now waited as the mechanics car was parked outside from when the car was collected. He arrived with my car, my keys, an MOT certificate and expressed no surprise that Servicing Stop had tried to scam me with un-needed work and oils. I trusted the local garage, I'll never use Service Stop again and try and persuade anyone not to use them if they treat customers with such distain. Now I know where there is an honest local garage guess with whom I'll be dealing directly?

Please please please do not use this company. You pay for a full service but they still extort money out of you & if you don't pay you don't get the car back. The advisors are extremely rude as well... I wouldn't even give them 1 star. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.!

I booked my car in for a service never thinking I would be conned. The only reason why I chose them was my car would be collected and delivered back and they have "as seen on Dragons' Den" on their site. Obviously, with them mentioning Dragons Den I thought it would be a good option to go with. I can't believe that they would have their name associated with such scam artists.
A man from a garage near me collected the car so I thought everything will be fine. A matter of a few hours later I had a call telling me I had to pay another £249 for oil change, brake flush amongst other things. I asked to speak to a manager (still waiting now). Also up to 4.50 I did not even know which garage had my car - despite me contacting them on several phones and email. So had to start ringing around local garages to find it, with this company closing at 5pm. Spend over 3 hours in total with them today and no one called me back.
I will be contacting trading standards tomorrow to report them, especially after seeing their reviews and articles online. So I am not alone. No one should get away with ripping off people, especially in such difficult times. £350 for a service - what planet do they live on. I even threatened them with the police if they didn't call me back - no response.

Sent my car in with the engine and abs light on. Spent £500 for it to be returned with both lights still on. Wrote a compliment that has been ignored. Did you actually do anything to my car? Because it feels like you took my money and ran. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. COMPLETE RIP OFF!

Tried to charge me twice for mot and service, made up oil flush out charges antifreeze charges brake fluid totalling 350 quid. Didnt top up my brake fluid but said they did on the service sheet check list - a massive safety breach.
Impounded my car, stole it wouldn't give it back until i paid unwanted charges absolute crooks do not use ever!

Look at the state of my undertray from a so called professional service. Unbelievable. Poor Collection service. No contact from advisor until they want extra payment and add ons. ( Total bull#### sales pitch/advice.). They have my Car from 8:30 - 18:30 and that's how they managed to get to the sump plug.

Do not use servicing stop it's a real scam. I have paid £500,25 for a car worth £1850 the list of the work they did is impossible to check well organised people who know exactly what they are doing very upset.
