Sufficient, not stellar

Blinds came in timely matter, fit was good, but disappointed in quality. We had to purchase from Lowe's a hand grip for our cordless blinds as they didn't come with them. The tension on the roller is challenging. Doesn't recoil fully, even with adjustments. I guess there is a reason they were better priced. Not sure payoff was worth it. Would definitely shop better brand next time.

Wrong blinds

Even though I first talked with a customer service representative, to try to ensure that my order was correct, my order was not correct. I needed a single valance for two blinds in the same window box. I explained this to the customer service person but received two valances. They would not do anything about it, claiming that since I ordered online and not through the representative, it was my fault. All I need was a replacement valance and they would not assist. Beware of these potential issues with any online custom blind organization.

I replaced the windows in my den to a different style. This required new blinds or shades. After researching different styles, I found what I wanted with Select Blinds. Following their instructions with measurements, I ordered them, received them shortly after. They fit perfectly, were easy to install, and now I have exactly what I wanted. I have received many complements and am very satisfied with the outcome.

Sizing problem

While your website clearly states that the customer should measure accurately and SelectBlinds will account for some gap this was not the case. No deduction was made by your team and my blinds were constructed to the exact dimensions I provided. So they dont fit properly without rubbing on the window jamb and each other. (2 side by side). Im not happy. Plus SB never replied to my email inquiry/complaint. So your customer service was also sub-par.

Satisfied Customer

I have purchased from SelectBlinds in the past. Their products are well made and sturdy. We like the down/up cell shades as we have windows exposed to the wind and appreciate their efficiency to block the cold air. We also appreciate the room darkening aspect for the bedroom.

Absolute garbage...

The first two blinds I tried to install were too wide to fit inside the drywalled openings. Frustration started there. With 35 years as a high-end finish carpenter I decided to pop off the end caps and trim a tiny bit off of the aluminum frames. Now they fit the opening. Decided I should not have to be doing this with a brand new "Fit Guaranteed" blind and stopped there. The recoil action of these blinds is incredibly slow, one doesn't even recoil all the way. Absolute garbage. When you pay less, expect to get less.

Great service

When attempting to order, agent on chatbox recommended getting sample colors and I am glad I did! Gpt the perfect shade for my room. Then agent followed up to make sure measurements were accurate. When we received our blinds they installed easily in about 3 minutes each. The look great and we are very pleased.

Husband placed our order and it was easy. The emails were prompt and professional.
We ordered 3 separate shades for different areas of our home.
They were shipped separately and arrived when told. After opening all 3 boxes, we saw that the 3rd box held an incorrect order. The company had shipped us an order belonging to someone else. (Order number did match our order, there were 2 shades of different color and size…we had ordered only 1 shade for that box).
Then the nightmare began. After several attempted calls(the "local" number was disconnected), a robo response said a link would be sent to correct the problem. We did all that was asked and sent the email.
The following day, we received a response asking us to do all the steps again.
This time, I made the phone call and FINALLY got through to a live person. Only to be kept on the phone for at least 30 minutes while he repeatedly told me to follow the steps. I repeatedly told him that we DID send the steps on ann email. (And that I had talked to a representative that checked the order to say it was an error and she saw our email and pictures). Once I told him that; he stopped repeating we needed to measure and send the info). And that they sent us the wrong order entirely! The problem wasn't in incorrect measuring, it was an error on their part.
The gentleman was condescending and acted like he didn't understand. When I asked to speak to someone that will understand the issue, he suddenly was able to rattle off, practically verbatim, everything I said. He then raised his voice to me when I said I was going to report the issue to the BBB because he was giving me the run around.
He continually put me on hold; finally "resolving" the issue to say we will get our correct order after a 48 hr. Review. And then it wouldn't be shipped out for awhile.
I explained to my husband what happened. He then called the company and talked to a female employee explaining what happened and the issue was not our fault, but an error in their shipping department.
Lo and behold, she was able to track the error down and got the new order expedited.
We are happy with the shades, but the customer service was a nightmare.

I received the package and tried to install the vertical blinds. I found a piece of plastic hanger was missing on the fabric louvre so now my blinds are not complete. I called customer service twice and still have to wait for their "APPROVAL" to get a replacement. Very disappointed, no follow up, no email, no apologies. The customer service was giving me a hard time, asked same questions multiple times and even doubted that my missing part was just a back up fabric even through I already sent them the pictures of proofs. Will not buy from this company again.

Not so fine

Placed order and did not realize that this is a DIY company. When blinds were received, no printed instructions were received and ordered a remote for motorized version. No holder for remote was included. I am 78 years old and installation was best to impossible. After hiring someone to install, could not get out of shipping mode. Have attempting for three weeks, they do not still work. Followed instructions to remove ship mode, would not still work. Called CS and they wanted me to record the process and send it to them. It is difficult to record something and due process at the same time. Asked for someone to come and release shipping mode on blinds. Since this is a DIY company, which was just told about, they do not do that. I have a $320.00 set of blinds that cover my living room window in the upright position. I am not happy with this company's handling of this matter. I can not relate product as it is in its original packaging mode hung up. If you can't send a person out, I would accept reimbursement of my cost to get these operational. If your response is going to be negative, I will accept a return label for these blinds along with a refund.

The quality has gone down

We are very long time customers of Select Blinds and had been happy with everything and everyone we had experience with. We put blinds in 2 houses over about 20 years.
This time I ordered a replacement blind for one I bought 8 years ago. Due to my clumsiness I broke that fine blind. I placed an order for the exact same blind, only changing the color. The replacement I received is not the same quality. It has plastic parts where the old one has metal parts. The quality of the material is not quite as good as the old one.
