When I encountered an issue with my Sealskin product, I reached out to their customer service team and was pleasantly surprised by the level of assistance I received.

Upon calling, I spoke with Lori, who was incredibly helpful. I explained that my car was wet despite using the Sealskin I initially ordered. Lori promptly provided me with a support ticket and guided me through the return policy with clear and concise instructions. She looked up my original order and discovered that I had purchased the wrong skin. Lori recommended the correct product, which I have since ordered.

A bit of a ramble here, but I'll give it a shot. The Seal Skin car cover is waterproof. It is the main feature I was looking for and performs as expected. I have used a WeatherShield HP car cover for years and it is not waterproof or water-resistant. After a heavy rain, the car is wet underneath the cover. The side mirror pockets collect water. I am happy with the Seal Skin car cover, and it was significantly less expensive. A plus is that the Seal Skin cover has no side mirror pockets. As with all car covers, the most important thing to remember is that the car surface must be clean before using a car cover. For example (for me), the WeatherShield HP cover, after heavy rain, will collect dust and dirt on the painted surface, potentially harming the finish. The Seal Skin cover has a felt underside, so there is less risk of the paint finish getting scratched, worn, or discolored, as long as the car is clean before using the car cover. There's always the possibility that dust will get blown underneath the cover in high winds depending on surrounding conditions. So, try to keep the cover as snug as possible. Also, if you get your tires cleaned at a car wash or otherwise use a tire shine product, the product will stain the inside of the car cover, there's no way to get around that other than don't ever use a tire shine product. Be sure to clean the wheels and tires before using the car cover. On the other hand, how much do you care about protecting your wheels and tires with a car cover and potentially staining the inside of the cover covering the wheels and tires? Gripes about the Seal Skin cover: 1.) the cable and lock are extraordinarily cheap (both need to be upgraded big time) 2.) the cable was too short for my SUV cover (I can't use it) 3.) the cover was about 4" shorter than my other cover on each side but about 8" longer on the front and back. (not a big deal, I'm ok with it, any shorter on the sides, I probably would have returned it) the cover sits a little bit above the running board. Otherwise, all good.

Needed a new cover as my older canvas cover was leaking.
I researched and found the Sealskin listing. Seals tend to be as waterproof as a frogs butt so o gave the product a shot.
I received the cover in a matter of days (record time in my humble opinion) and put it on the boat. We have had an exceptionally rainy spring, but my craft has remained dry and free of debris.
I do not usually recommend products, but the Sealskin cover is an exceptional product.
Only fault was there was no instructions included which would have helped with the many tie down straps included, but I figured it out.

I previously had a mid-grade cover for my vintage Mercedes. On windy days, it would chafe and leave black marks on the rear corners of my car. They would come out, but over time, paint damage may have occurred. Also, the previous cover was not waterproof, and I found mold on my trunk lid, on more than one occasion. The Sealskin cover (Lifetime warranty one) is SO much nicer! It is at least 5 times heavier, IS waterproof, and doesn't cause any marks on the vehicle at all. In the Florida torrential downpours and heavy winds, it holds its own, and performs exceptionally, definitely worth the asking price!
