Lousy customer service

I would never recommend this company due to it's lack of customer service. I emailed them to stop my subscription and not to send me anymore perfume, they answered and acknowledged that but a month later, I got notice that my shipment was on it's way and they charged my PayPal. They are sending me a deletion that I don't know because I never selected anything. There is no phone number and they do not answer any email that I have been sending to support.

Don't bother!

I was super excited when I first started my membership! I selected my first pick for my subscription, and when I got it I was a little disappointed. $16 a month for such a small vial of perfume? After a while I did realize it won't be used up all too quickly so I update my subscription to every three months. I got an email to notify and confirm my subscription change. I went in and ordered some samplers a few weeks later. It took 3 weeks for me to receive them. It says online estimated 7 to 10 business days before shipping, after 15 business days I contacted support, they didn't response for a week, after it was shipped and delivered, to tell me they're not sure what I mean about my order not shipping because they can see it was delivered. I was peeved but no big deal, I got me order. A few weeks later, about a month from first subscription, I get an email from PayPal that I was charged. I go on to see that my subscription was reset back to monthly. Funny thing is I never got an email about this change. I was having car troubles at the time so it was not a good time for me. I was also extremely frustrated that I my subscription was changed without my knowledge. I contacted support asking to cancel the order, it hadn't shipped yet. And put a ticket in with paypal. I actually got someone from support saying that since the order was placed and there was nothing they could do except cancel my subscription. I showed this to PayPal and they essentially said I was screwed because I agreed to a subscription service I pre-authorized the purchases. This was very disheartening to know they scr*wed me, and it was my fault. I got an email to review a delivery and for some reason I clicked the link to see my account was flagged and locked for fraudulent activity. Since I reached out to PayPal over this they locked my account and I'm not allowed access to the site at all. Literally don't even bother with these guys, yes the perfume smells great, but their shady actions and horrendous customer service really takes away from the whole experience.

The larger vial is the month's subscription, with a case. I've learned that alot of longtime customers hate the new design of the cases, they're magnetic. To the right are the sampler sizes.

Hi Brandee, thank you for your message! Looking over our system, we see that you changed your shipping frequency from Monthly to Every Three Months. Please make sure any changes to your account are submitted at least one (1) day prior to your scheduled billing date. This ensures the changes apply to the upcoming billing cycle, and not the next. The same day, you upgraded your plan from 1 product to 2 products plan. The changes apply instantly, that's why you were charged on the spot for your upcoming order. This meant that you wouldn't be charged for the next 2 months. You were charged on February 12th for your February order and it was marked as delivered on February 17th. You initiated a chargeback on your February charge, which meant that the funds were subsequently frozen while the investigation was conducted. That's why our system automatically canceled your account to avoid any unwanted future billing. Charged More

They charged more on my 1st month. It was supposed to be $7, then next month, $16 if I wanted to keep my subscription. They charge $28 total on two separate transactions on the same day. I emailed, and they won't respond about it. I dislike that we can't contact them via phone. This is highly unacceptable. I hope people leave this company. They don't deserve business!

Hi Nicole, sorry that our billing caused that much confusion. We see that you subscribed with us and paid $7.06 for your 1 product/Monthly plan. It costs $16.95, but you received a 60% discount. The same day you decided to upgrade your plan to 3 products/monthly one. It costs $37 a month, so our system automatically charged you an additional $20.85 to cover the cost of this new plan. Because you paid for 3 fragrances, instead of 1, you received 3 fragrance vials on February 15th instead of 1. In our efforts to be transparent with our subscribers, this info is displayed on our website, checkout page before you pay for the service & our FAQ page. It looks like our Agent Julie clarified everything about your billing on February 25th via Instagram DM. Since I started my subscription with Scentbird, I've received quite a few scents that I really like. I've received a few that I didn't like at all, and I've received scents that I LOVE and are exactly what I like in a scent. I've even ordered a full size scent and will probably order more in the future. I appreciate the variety in products as well. The website is easy to use and customer service is helpful. I have no complaints whatsoever with this scent subscription service. :)

Slow Customer Service

I had requested a two month break from my subscription and got a notification that in three days it would renew. I decided that I wanted to cancel my subscription and emailed them asking to cancel February 12. They emailed back the same day saying they needed information and couldn't find my subscription. I then emailed on the 15th with the information after realizing that they charged me. I then received an automated email saying they would get back to me within 36 to 48 hours. I did not get another email until the 17th with the tracking information inside. I did not hear back from an actual person until February 21st. They said they would not refund me because my order is already shipped. So, just be aware that if you want to cancel it may not be in the time frame they promise.

UNLESS YOU WANT TO CONTINUALLY GET FRAGRANCES FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. DO NOT SIGN UP! I TRIED TO CANCEL THIS SERVICE AND THEY SAY THEY CANNOT FIND MY ACCOUNT. WHICH IS VERY STRANGE BECAUSE EVERY MONTH SCENT BIRD.COM TAKES $30 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. I TRIED TO CONTACT THEM AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A PHONE NUMBER, IT'S ALL AUTOMATED. Hassle to cancel

The perfum selections I got overall werent great. I paid 16 for one sample per month, only liked maybe 1 of them, and tried canceling to cut back on subscriptions and because it overall wasnt worth it, just to find out that you cant just click a button and cancel. You have to email the support team, and hope they respond before the next monthly charge. This is absolutely ridiculous and its obviously designed this way to keep getting money from you. Absolutely sh*t service. Dont bother.

Canceled within 2 weeks

Not a great experience. Placed my first order for a subscription but also added on some of the samples they offer. I received my first perfume and spray tube about a week later which was great. However, the several samples I also paid for did not come. I reached out to their customer service to see why I did not get them. 4 days later and still no response. I emailed again, and they sent an auto reply with the tracking number for my order saying I could check delivery, but it was for the package I already got. Ugh. So clearly not an actual person which is awful. Then the next day I got an email showing a new tracking number for the samples. Ok great. But It is so dumb they would send them separate for one, for two why would it take so long to get those too? The icing on the cake, at this point I'm annoyed with this company so i go online to cancel my subscription, and low and behold I can't. I have to email their customer service in order to cancel! The one that doesn't respond. This is insane! Def ready to be done with them and find a better company to subscribe with.

It is hard to choose a fragrance by the description online, and to guess if it will work on your body chemistry. The cost of $15.95 a vial is a great buy if you love the perfume, but a waste of money if you can't wear it.
The case costs $10 a month extra, and the new vials are hard to use without it. The new vials tend to leak more easily than the old ones too. I do my best to choose ones I think I will love, but end up giving away or throwing away most of them. When you find one you love it is great, but you can't reorder the same one again. The whole purpose of this is to try lots of different perfumes. But if your body chemistry is not compatible with them, it is a way to spend money on things you can't use. But when you find one you really love, you have a few weeks of enjoying it, but can't reorder it again. The purpose is to keep you trying new ones every month. If you are not willing to waste some money on things you don't like, to find one you do, this is not for you. It is a fun thing when you find a good one, and you get to indulge in a perfume you would probably never buy, for a month or so. I have found I am allergic to some of them too, but there is no guarantee or replacement if you can't wear it. I just pass it along to someone else. I don't smoke or drink, so it is my indulgence each month, and when I find one I really love, it is fun to wear a designer fragrance for a while.

Deceptive renewal practices & can't call

Initially thought this would be a great subscription, except any decent perfume comes with an additional $10 charge on top of the $150 you pay for 6 months. Then they failed to communicate the renewal date and amount and just charged me! I contacted them with hours of the charge asking that they cancel and refund but they refused to refund me, oh but sure we will cancel for future! Effectively guaranteed I will never use them for myself or as a gift. Way to burn bridges guys!

Hi Susan, sorry to hear that your experience with us wasn't as great as it could've been! Kindly note that all Premium fragrances have an upcharge cost to them. In order to be transparent with our customers, a notification is displayed prior to you adding such Premium fragrance to your queue and you have to OK it in order to proceed further. Once you confirm that you're ok with paying extra for such fragrances, our system charges you for such fragrances automatically. But, we make sure that our customers get better deals at www.scentbird.com than those they'd get from a conventional store. In case if you don't want to be charged extra, you can just add non-premium fragrances to your queue. In case if you don't want to be charged for the upcoming month, you'll need to cancel your subscription prior to the cut-off date (one day before the billing date). Untrustworthy Company

I was charged January 22nd for an order I never received. It's now February 8th. I have reached out to company and the company refuses to contact me. There is no phone number and they will not return emails.

Complete scam

They charged me MORE for 8ml of the product than I could buy 100ml bottle for, some Pink Sugar pharmacy perfume. As in this perfume in stores is 25cents per mL, they're charging $3.25… criminal at this point. I haven't enjoyed any of the scents and am being charged over $30CAD monthly for them, regret signing up completely. What a waste.

With us, you receive 0.27oz vials priced at $16.95 USD. In contrast, most rollerballs start at $26 USD for a 0.25oz bottle depending on the brand. At 0.27 ounces, our vials are roughly the equivalent of 7.5 of those little samples so with us you get more to try out for a whole month. This is the worst created website ever! I went to check some perfumes and to see how it worked and the website is set up to basically get you in and get you stuck in this club! Whoever created this website should be fired! It is impossible to navigate through the website all these pop-ups come up and it won't let you search perfumes I was trying to search for a perfume to see if I even wanted to be in the club I would type in the name of some thing, and it was still just bring me to the perfumes they wanted me to have!? Seriously WTF worst website ever so basically they lost business with me and I'm sure hundreds of other people because you can't make it past the first part of the website it's impossible horrible
