Needed replacement salt cell for SGS chlorine generator cell. Original cell was for 20k pool but was undersized. I was able to find this 40k gallon generator cell at a good price and they delivered in a little over a week. Not bad considering free shipping. Install was exactly as stated and as soon as I turned it on I could see life come back and sanitization better than new. Not sure what conditions led to people leaving bad reviews but my experience was fantastic. As with all items, time will tell how it holds up to the daily process of sanitizing the pool water.

Purchased salt generator for $269, less than 18 months later it failed. Contacted them for warranty repair and they said I can ship the unit to them at my cost. The next time I hear from them is an email invoicing me for $239. When I email asking why such a high invoice I'm told their warranty after 1 year is pro-rated for 1/3 of the published price; which is over $700. NO WHERE in their warranty does it state anything about the repair cost after one year being 1/3 of the published price. So basically, they offer no warranty beyond the first year. Customer support sometimes takes days to respond and doesn't always answer the question(s). I imagine this "company" is nothing more than a fulfillment center.

I was scammed like the other reviews because the item didn't last a year. They respond asked me to send it back and then went radio silent. I wish they had not replied to my email and told me to send it back, costing me more money, if they weren't going to respond.

I ordered a replacement cell for my Circupool SJ-55. I was impressed with the speed of the order being processed, shipped and delivered. I opened the box to find a cell that in no way resembles a Circupool cell. I called the company and was told someone from support would get back with me ASAP. After waiting a bit, I contacted them again only to be blown off again. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. It's a real pity that we can leave zero stars.

My cell failed after 11 months. I submitted a warranty request (supposedly a 5 yr warranty). Company instructed me to return unit "for inspection," and they would ship replacement as soon as tracking number was provided. I returned the unit and all communication stopped. Never replied, did not send new unit. I suppose they could offer a lifetime warranty with that kind of support. 155 complaints on BBB with very similar issues.

Purchased a salt sail 7/9/2000 Went bad a year and 2 months later Says it has a 5 year warranty sent It in for warranty they want to charge me as much as the new one is Tried repeatedly to contact somebody no response When I 1st ordered it came right away but when you're trying to get something warranted they're not willing to take care of their customers It would be nice if they would just respond to emails or even return calls that you leave messages and leave messages and leave messages

If I could give them a negative number I would. Bought a replacement salt cell. It never worked properly - over reading the salt concentration and within 2 months, constantly read 'hot'. Company refuses to respond to emails.

I purchased a unit that went bad in 8 months. ABSOLUETLY NO RESPONSE FROM PHONE MASSAGES OR EMAILS. This company obviously only cares about making the initial sale. BEWARE, the product is not worth the savings!
I hope to be able to re-write this review, but they will need to get a real customer service dept first.

Our $350 salt cell was broken when we opened the box. No way to talk to real customer service. All our emails have gone unanswered. Do not waste your money on this company!

I bought without seeing these comments. I got ripped off and now trying to get my money back from the credit card. My unit also was shipped from Australia. It leaked and spray water when I installed it. I filled out warranty form and they asked me to ship to Tennessee. I paid $25 to ship it to them. Then they sent me another unit from Australia that looked like it had been used for many many years. The blades were bent and corroded. Emails go unanswered now. I feel like a fool for falling for this fraud. Hopefully I get my money from the credit card company.

Very cheaply made. I had a 4 year warranty product. It failed within 30 days. I sent it back as requested and no one will return me calls, answer my calls or E mails. I am out the money of a salt cell and they have my broken one under warranty cell. Stay away!

I purchased an Salt Cell from the Salt Pool Store in May of 2019. The reason I chose this vendor is because they advertise an "Industry Leading 5 Year Warranty" on this particular product. After 2 seasons of use, the salt cell started leaking and stopped working. I submitted a warranty claim, and they replied that it would have to be returned to them for repair since the product was over 12 months old. I shipped the product back on July 2021. They informed me that I would have to pay $386 for the warranty repair, with no explanation. Keep in mind, I paid $290 for the product when it was new. Their warranty statements are deceptive. The product was defective within the warranty period, it should be repaired or replaced. These guys should be out of bussiness.

I've purchased two of their cells. Both failed before a year. They replaced the second one under warranty and the replacement failed in 4 months. I returned the replacement to be replaced and they won't respond to emails. Terrible customer service. In my experience they do not honor their warranty claim and do not communicate. Update… after returning the cell that failed in 4 months they finally offered a "pro rata" new one for $230. I paid $269 the original purchase and it had a 5 year warranty so 4 months into the replacement (which I replaced 9 months after the original purchase) or 13 months in, they discounted the price by a whopping $40. So I'd get to pay another $230 for what appears to be a 6 month cell! Nope. Not this time.

Ordered a salt cell because much cheaper than branded Hayward product. Was shipped from Australia but was apparently lost by shipper. They said they sent a new one but the shipper never received the parcel. Refund requested which they said they would do but they never credited it back to my card so now going through credit card dispute resolution. Do not order from these guys!

My salt cell failed after 6 months of usage. This company will not respond to phone calls at all. After contacting through email, I had to submit all types of documents and photos to even begin the warranty process. Eventually, I was told to send my cell back, provide them with tracking, and they would inspect my cell. I received another email that shows paperwork for my replacement. I waited for over a week for confirmation on shipment to no avail. Once again, I contacted them through email and they are now stating that there is a shortage of salt cells, if you can believe it. I feel this company is nothing but a fraud and I think I will pursue legal avenues. Good luck to all.

Purchased the T cell 15, never worked returned it overall about $350.00 lesson. Will not return calls or emails. Terrible overall experience, why is a company still being able to operate with such low ratings. I contacted the BBB as well. I reported the shame company to PayPal as well. Maybe someone will shut this place down! This site will not let me upload my receipt

I selected one star only because you must select stars to submit the review but I would have said they are actually a NEGATIVE FIVE star company. Do NOT EVER do business with this company. The US stores never answer the telephone They have an answering service who only take messages. They will not talk to you in person nor will they communicate with you via email. They send a standard email response stating to return the product at my own cost. I had questions in my email response that were completely ignored. After 8 emails and over 17 phone calls I received a replacement product 4 weeks after returning my original defective salt cell. The product I received was broken. After another 7 phone calls and 3 emails I received another standardized response telling me to return the product at my own cost. It cost me $150 to return the two defective salt cells. Almost 8 weeks have passed since my nightmare with this company began and I still have no functioning salt cell for my pool. Stay away from this company.

Bought a salt cell for my pool. Said it would take 4 days to get to me. Shipment came from Australia, took several days longer. Didn't work out of the box. Now they want me to pay to ship it to them to check it out. I shouldn't have to pay shipping again for a defective product. I have no faith that they'll do anything with it so why would I pay more for something that doesn't work to a company with which I have no faith?
