I ordered a standing spray from Ruth's Roses to honor the military service of a very dear friend of ours—a man who stood beside us as a groomsman in our wedding. On Christmas Eve, we received the devastating news that he would not make it through the night. Our hearts broke, and we wanted to show how much he meant to us by sending a spray for his funeral. We received a confirmation days before the service, so we trusted everything was in place. But on the day of the funeral, nothing was delivered. Not a call. Not an update. Nothing. It was absolutely embarrassing and deeply hurtful during an already painful moment. Their only response was a simple apology and a notice that a refund would take 3–5 business days. No urgency. No accountability. No understanding of the emotional weight of their failure. I wish I had seen the other reviews beforehand, because I would have NEVER ordered from this company. As an Air Force Veteran myself, it's already hard enough to see how we are treated in life—this experience showed me how poorly we can be treated in death as well. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Their lack of reliability and compassion is unacceptable, especially when families are grieving and depending on them to deliver something meaningful.

My husband ordered flowers from Ruth's Roses to surprise me at work for our 10-year anniversary. He ordered ahead. Gave clear instructions. Trusted their "same-day delivery" promise. They failed. Twice. My coworkers didn't ask for a recommendation. They asked for a name to blacklist. No flowers. No apology. No accountability. They rescheduled. Still didn't deliver. Then claimed they had-on time. I asked for proof. I'm the first in, last out. We have cameras. Nothing was ever delivered. Eventually, they refunded him. But only after rewriting the timeline and dodging responsibility. They ghosted our milestone and turned a celebration into frustration. Paid for same day delivery for a custom, very specific and expensive arrangement. They didn't deliver it. "Could not contract the driver." The wrong order showed up the next day with the WRONG order. They said they'd talk with "Mrs. Ruth." OK. Closed my card and working with my bank. Reporting to BBB. One star is not enough.
Representative that called herself "Jovell" repeatedly stated the business was located in the town where the delivery was to be made. She accepted an order for a $216 flower arrangement that was guaranteed to be delivered to a funeral home by 10:00 the following day (today) with the promise of a photograph of the delivered arrangement. Of Course, no pix, & no flowers, but an email two hours after the promised delivery stating the delivery was not made and too late to order from a reputable florist.
I will never do business with Ruth's Roses again as they overcharged me and then added an extra charge the next day. Their ratings leave much to be desired and they are as dishonest as can be! How do you spell Dishonest Company: Ruth's Roses! They should change their name to Ruth's Hoses(all their customers) BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE
Assured same day delivery before 5pm for a viewing. Got cancellation at 9pm. Devastating when family needed to be represented.
I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered flowers for the wake of a dear friend! I ordered the premium of an "FTD" arrangement. What I got was half the size I ordered and did not have the colors I ordered. The service fee was quite high but I decided that it was probably in keeping with other businesses. I have complained to the company, but based on other reviews, not hopeful. But it doesn't matter because the flowers were so disappointing when I needed something worthwhile. It's not like there will be another wake of this person. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I ordered flowers that are not even close to what the web site shows. I also paid an extra $20 for 2 extra sunflowers. Only received one. Ripe off. I rated one star because I had to. Should have been zero stars.
Horrible. Awful. I spoke with the person who took my order at length and wrote down everything we discussed and agreed to, which was a glass vase and long-stem flowers. What was delivered were stupid cheap carnations in an ugly basket. Cringe-worthy. Called and they pawned me off to a service email address. Service person said this bait-and-switch is part of their policy, and didn't I refer to it on their website? Uh, no, shouldn't your order-taker tell me that what we discussed and agreed to might be completely different? What horrible, cheap, unethical people these are. I placed an order at 10 am for same day delivery. They guaranteed the delivery. It never delivered. The people on the customer service line were horrible & rude and not helpful or apologetic in any way. PLEASE do not purchase from Ruth's Roses.
Flowers looked nothing like their name "pink" yet there was barely any pink in it and the delivery was late and my love already went to an appointment at 1:30 when I specifically told them delivery should be between 7am and 1:30pm. So no anniversary surprise for her. I would never use this place. Terrible service.
I would have given this place a ZERO. Deplorable customer service as I received an email at the last minute cancelling my order. When I called to inquire as to why, I was told supply chain issues. There were no supply chain issues when they processed my payment. No help given, couldn't substitute or recommend another florist to help me! Do not use this florist, they are the worst. I thought they were based in FL, but uses search and maps to lie about where they are located. The worst of the worst.
I wish I would have looked for reviews of this business before ordering. For the amount of money I spent ($130), I could have just stopped at Vons and received my money's worth.

The flowers were delivered. While I appreciate that it was quick, the flowers were mostly filler. Fir what I paid, they were underwhelming and I am very disappointed. This looks like a $15 grocery store arrangement. Looks dead! Expectation on the right…crap I received on the left.
If I could give a negative number I would...my mother spent $81 on a flower arrangement for my best friend who is recovering from cancer surgery. The arrangement she got was vastly different from what she ordered, and the babys breath she paid extra for was nonexistent. I complained via email, with photo evidence. They proceeded to refund her $32. I said that's unacceptable, and they refunded ten more dollars. I again said that was unacceptable and they stopped responding so I called. The girl I spoke with was flippant, and told me that half a refund was all they could do. When I asked why, her response was, 'well at the end of the day, flowers were delivered weren't they?' so….i asked if she ordered a steak and was served a pizza, would she be ok with paying half? Every time I questioned her, her answers got more outlandish. I asked if the shoe was on the other foot, and it was HER ordering her friends favorite flower for after cancer surgery, if SHE would be happy receiving an ugly arrangement she didn't order, and she has the audacity to say YES, she would be fine with that. This 'company' is a complete scam. RUN. The first photo below is what was ordered. The second was the garbage that was delivered.
I ordered a floral spray and the spray was NOTHING like it was supposed to be. Definitely did not look like what I paid for. It was supposed to be the deluxe Comforting Standing spray for $250 and I was charged for the premium spray, the banner was HANDWRITTEN and not legible and could read it because it was so faint. All banners I have ever seen had the stick-on lettering. The flowers, the few there were, were supposed to be purple and white ONLY and at least half of them were pink. I will never recommend this floral shop and I will definitely ensure my review corresponds with the crappy service provided. Worst and most deceitful service I have ever experienced.
I would rate this business a huge ZERO. Deplorable customer service and old flowers and ugly arrangements. I spent $85 for a birthday delivery and when I submitted a photo sidexside with what was advertised they threw their substitution policy in my face as justification. Do not ever use this florist, who purports to be local but is not (I think based in FL, but uses search and maps to lie about where they are located). I feel ripped off and incredibly disappointed with what I purchased for a dear friend. Despicable and of the worst quality. Steer clear!
