I had a roommate who sold my dog. I came home one night, and my dog was gone! She didn’t tell me where he went. Apparently she told my mom he bit her and my mom came over to get the dog. My roommate listed the dog on Craigslist and told the buyer to go to my mom’s house to pick it up… We ended up getting the dog back after a long and confusing discussion with the lady who bought my dog. After this crazy ordeal I moved out of that apartment and found a great room to rent on Roomster. They had tons of listings. Found a really affordable rate for a room in a nice building. Lets hope my roommate doesn’t turn out to be crazy! I met up with them a few times and they seem normal enough so fingers crossed!

I was recently getting my apartment renovated and I had planned to do a full gut renovation of the space. Because of the extent of the work that I was having done I would not be able to live in the space while the construction was being done which was going to take at least six months so I knew I had to find an alternative for the interim. I’m usually very skeptical about these types of services but it came highly recommended from a trusted friend so I decided it was worth the risk. After creating a profile and purchasing a subscription, which was pretty reasonably priced, I was looking through the various listings and features of the site. They offer a bevy of tools that help pinpoint the best possible place for you. I settled on a nice one-bedroom place not too far from my current place and it was extremely affordable. The whole process went without a problem much to my surprise.

I just took a freelance job at a clothing company in Norway who brought me on to redesign one of their existing menswear collections. I was going to be there for about a year working on the project. The company said they would handle my living accommodations while I was there so that was great. When I got there I was taken to my new place and I was amazed how nice it was. And I’m sure it was affordable because I doubt they would spend a lot of money on this.

What is there to say about Roomster? ONLY GOOD THINGS! I had a terrible experience with a roommate that I found through my college forum and Roomster rode in like a knight in shining armor to save the day. Long story short I was living with a sadistic twisted man who like to torture animals. I was unwilling to live in that kind of environment and not only did I report his actions to the authorities but I moved out immediately to stay with a friend until I found a suitable alternative. One of my professors recommended I try Roomster to find a relatively affordable room to rent with other students. I checked out the site and decided to give it a try. So happy my prof told me about this site it was amazingly intuitive and easy to use and before I knew it I had secured a great room to rent for a very reasonable price.

When I graduated from college one of my dreams was to move to New York City and become a journalist. I used to date this girl who was what you might “eccentric”. At first I loved that about her. She’d surprise me with the most bizarre and spontaneous things. One day she shows up to my place wearing a helmet and goggles and tells me she booked us for skydiving lessons on a whim! I love adventures so for me I thought this was a perfect match. We had some really amazing times together but things started to take a turn for the worse after her father passed away. I know it might seem insensitive of me but after her loss she became extremely irritable and moody to the point where she was constantly depressed and perhaps even suicidal. I knew that this was a very unhealthy relationship so I begged her to come to counseling with me so that she could get the help she needed. She refused to even consider the fact that she might need professional help and I was not sure what to do. The final straw came when she showed up outside my building at 4am one night screaming about how she wanted to kill me for not being there for her in her time of need. This continued for a few days until I finally got a restraining order against her. Unfortunately she didn’t care and would continue to harass me at my home. I knew I had to move. I found Roomster online and thank god I did because I don’t know how much longer I could have dealt with that craziness. The site was so easy to use and I found a really great place with very little effort. Lets hope my next girlfriend isn’t nuts!

Roomster helped me find a really nice room to rent when I was studying abroad. It was always my dream to study the culinary arts in Europe after experiencing some of the best cuisine of my life there. One particular chef in Italy inspired me so much with his passion that I knew I wanted to embody that mentality. I am so happy with my Roomster experience! I never post reviews online but this site was such a lifesaver. Thanksgiving is usually a time to spend with family, being grateful for their existence and stuffing your face with food. This year I had a very different experience. My roommate is from Colorado and initially he told me he was going to be going home for the holiday to be with his family. I’ve been writing this book for a few years now and I really felt like I had hit a creative block and was unable to finish the project. I decided it might benefit me to move away to finish the project and get a new perspective and find some new inspiration. I heard about Roomster through a friend of mine who’s used it and I was impressed with how their site was setup and the range of rooms they had across so many locations.
