I recently needed to find a place to live closer to my job because my morning commute was causing me to be late almost every day. I found Roomster through a web search and was surprised at how many rooms they seemed to have listed. I registered for the site, which was really easy, and found a really comfortably sized room for a great price 10 min walking distance from my office!

I was recently in the market for a room to rent when a friend recommended Roomster to me. I am usually not prone to utilizing services such as these online because they usually lack security but after speaking at length with my friend who used the site I felt comfortable using it. After I created a profile it was very easy to find a listing that was within my budget and communicating on the site was a breeze. Overall positive experience and I’m happy the site did what it advertised.

My cousins just told me about Roomster, saying they got a sweet deal on a rental in a great area that is usually pretty expensive. I went on the site to see if the hype was justified and it seems like they were right. There are a ton of listings available and the rates for subscriptions are very reasonably priced. I used the site to find a room to rent when I moved to a new town for a new job and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

I run a martial arts studio and above our dojo we have a bedroom that I’ve been renting out on Roomster. I gotta say that this site is so easy to use. I literally just put the pictures up and set a price and the people come to me I don’t even have to lift a finger. The messaging suite is so easy to use so I don’t have a problem communicating with people on the site.

After buying a subscription it was easy to find a room that fit my budget and what I was looking for. I have since recommended the site to many close friends who are looking to secure places of their own.

A friend suggested I try Roomster when I was looking for a place to live in NYC. I had tried going through a broker but what they were asking for a fee was outrageous. I went on Roomster and figured it couldn’t hurt to buy a trial subscription to test it out. I was so happy I did. Their site is so easy to use and before I knew it I was looking at all these great places to rent.

I used Roomster about two months ago to rent a room after I left my previous living situation. Their prices were relatively affordable; anyone serious about finding a place will have no problem with their subscription rates. The listings they have are pretty varied in terms of area, quality and price.

I have an extra room in my place that’s been sitting as storage for the longest time but my rent recently went up so I’ve been looking to rent it out to generate some extra income. I listed the room on Roomster after a friend suggested the site and I’m glad he did. The process was super easy no gimmicks and I was able to find a young respectful student to rent the room. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent available rooms that they have. Haven’t used it to find a roommate so I can’t speak to that part of the site.

I came across Roomsters site during one of my searches and they looked like they had a lot of affordable rooms. I purchased a subscription and started messaging some listings and within about two weeks I closed on a great room that was within my budget.

At first I was skeptical to find a stranger as a roommate online but my friend said he used it before with solid results so I decided to give it a shot. At first glance the site is clean and has a pretty easily navigable interface and before long I was sending messages back and forth with a few people who had some really nice rooms listed. I settled on a nice clean room in a good area and the rent was super affordable.

Needed to find a roommate desperately after my rent got hiked up. After searching for candidates on craigslist and getting nowhere I found Roomster on Google and it was a breeze to use. I set up my account and listing within a few short minutes and within two weeks I found a great roommate to rent my spare room. It worked out perfectly because I wouldnt have been able to afford the rent going forward on my own.

I used to have this horrible roommate who was unbearable to live with and I promised myself I would never go through that again willingly. On my next roommate search I did a lot of research about the best place to find good candidates and I determined Roomster was my best choice. After creating an account and starting to look through their listings it was clear that id be able to find a good fit with the abundance of people they have on the site. I messaged back and forth with a few people before I signed with a girl in her mid twenties that was a nursing student. We’ve been living together for near six months now and it has been without incident.

DONT GiVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION! After paying for this site three adifferent times throughout a few year span of time I have sadly concluded that it is fraud only a few of the listings are real te rest are not real people, or old accounts. I've deleted my account multiple times but it is still coming up to others as a new account. And the new messages they try tj get you to see, are nv as many as they say because most are from the site themselves.

The worse site to find a roommate. I was unknowingly billed twice after I paid the $5.95 fee. When they issued the refund(which I am still waiting to receive), I was under the impression, I'd have access to my mailbox. A free membership is a waste of time, and it is not worth paying for, as many of the ads seem to be BS.

I had a friend who was recently wrongfully evicted from her apartment by her landlord. While she is suing him in small claims court shes been crashing with me and weve been looking into getting her a room to rent. We found Roomster after doing some research online and read some good reviews. We found the site very manageable and reasonably priced to use, and they had a ton of rooms available in various budgets. We found her a room to rent in a really nice building after about three weeks on the site.

My little brother is going away to college in the next two weeks and we found him an amazing deal on a room share through Roomster. The college wanted a ridiculous amount of money for their housing program but we found a much more affordable alternative with Roomster. If you are looking for a good priced room to rent this is the site for you.

My experience with Roomster was great until I noticed the $29.95 charged to my bank account without my knowledge. I agreed to pay the $5 for the 3 day trial and received a receipt via email following my payment. However, no where did I notice anywhere saying that there would be an additional charge. When my bank account was charged the $29.95 4 days after purchasing the 3-day trial, I did not receive an email receipt like I had for the previous payment and instead noticed it on my bank statement over a week later.

I understand it is justified for any business to charge what they see is necessary for a service, but to do it in a way that takes advantage of their customers is exactly what will keep me from using this service ever again. I doubt the return rate with these charges is very high. Even if it is listed somewhere in fine print I think it is a very shady tactic that is not likely to please anyone. I can't honestly say that I know anyone who would be fine with an unwanted charge and those who haven't complained about this experience most likely haven't checked their bank statement. I used multiple sites to locate a roommate and happened to find one using Roommates.com and am very happy with my experience through them. I purchased their 3 day trial and was not charged any additional fees. I found my roommate through Roommates.com prior to discovering these unwanted charges with Roomster so this did not affect my decisions. I hope that Roomster at least takes these criticisms into consideration and begins to make these charges more noticeable their customers and they could go from an "OK" service to a great one.
