There are a lot of rooms available on Roomster and what’s great is you can speak directly with landlords or potential roommates instead of going through a middleman making things a lot easier. I have found both short-term and long-term rentals on here and others I have spoken to have also had luck. Just makes the whole process simple and effective. 10 out of 10!

I never write reviews, but I found that not so many people I spoke to knew about this website and it has helped me so much I felt like it was my duty to write about it. I recently had to rent out two rooms in my apartment and it was so easy to find good people here. I strongly recommend that people try looking on here! I feel like everyone I talk to is so genuine and these are people you would want to have in your home. They are also looking for the same thing so it just worked out perfectly. Also there is loads of info on here and its so easy to get customer service when you need it. Try it out!

I have a multiple bedroom house a few blocks away from my primary residence that I have used to rent out to local college students throughout the years. I have been using Roomster going on nearly 7 years now to list rooms in the house and find prospective tenants. Its always been fairly easy to use the site and I never have had any major complaints. One thing I will say is make sure you are choosing the right subscription for you because you don’t want to purchase the wrong one. At the end of they day I would recommend this site to anyone who asks.

My boyfriend and I just moved into the city and were looking for a place for just the two of us since we have a baby on the way. We were living with 2 other people for the past year but after I got pregnant that wasn’t really working out so we needed to move on and get a place of our own before the baby comes. We found this great 1 bedroom in Williamsburg through Roomster for an affordable price and are so happy! It’s exactly what we were looking for and the neighborhood is great! Would recommend this site to anyone looking to move!

I needed to move out of my previous apartment because I decided to get a cat and there were no cats allowed. I started asking friends if they knew of any vacant rooms. I had no luck until I went on Roomster. What made it so great is that I actually was able to put an ad up and specify everything that I needed, e.g. someone who likes cats! I was so happy when this guy replied; he was looking for one more person and the owner allowed pets! They were all really excited about having a pet so it couldn’t have gone any better!

Last fall I changed jobs and subsequently moved office from way uptown to downtown. I used to live very close to my work, and so moving jobs became a bit of a challenge, commute wise. I decided to check if I would find anything on Roomster since my lease was coming to an end and within weeks I had actually found a great place! I now live much closer to my work making my life so much easier! And my roommate is great so I’m very happy with this experience!

I recently had great experience with www.roomster.com. My son was moving into New York City and needed a place close to his campus. We looked together at the ads that were posted on the website, and in the end we found a great place for him along 3 other young adults that are all going to the same school. I found www.roomster.com very easy to use and I believe it is a trusted website for students and others to use and am very happy that I found a good place for my boy.

After breaking up with my boyfriend I needed to move out of my apartment as soon as possible and Roomster helped me do so. I quickly found this great apartment and was so happy I could move in right away! It took less than a week to find an apartment and sign a lease! Running into this website definitely was the best thing that happened during such a difficult time! I just recommended it to two of my friends and they both really like the site and already are having some luck! Very happy with my experience on here!

Roommates.com is much better than Roomster.com. Roomster is a Horrible site. Stay away from Roomster.

I don't know what it is but dealing with real estate brokers in NY is absolutely terrible. Had one that was so paranoid that me and my roommate were gng to circumvent her and sign a lease directly w the landlord she called me every hour trying to dissuade me, even though I assured her we had no intention of doing anything of the sort. Eventually we just ignored all communications w her as it became too unbearable. A friend of ours told us he paid $90 for a Roomster subscription (as opposed to the crazy brokers fee they would have charged) and found an incredible, affordable place in a much shorter time-frame than the three months we spent working with two different brokers. We checked out the site and were really happy with it. We found something that we absolutely loved and the best part, no brokers fee!

Came across an ad on craigslist for a room to rent but when I contacted the person who made the ad they were extremely sketchy, wouldn’t answer any of my questions fully. After a few emails back and forth they told me that to sign the lease and get the room, which at that point I still hadn’t even seen in person, I had to send a money order/cashiers check for the first and last months rent. I asked to arrange a viewing of the apartment and was given the run around. Needless to say I did not go through with that rental. After that I found Roomster online and decided to give it a shot after reading some positive reviews. I cant say the site is perfect but I found it to be much more resourceful than anything I’ve come across online. Tons of rooms at various budgets and they have a pretty good user interface that’s easy to use and has a nice design.

I have had such bad luck with roommates in the past and have had 3 in the past year! Once again I needed to find someone for one of the rooms in my apartment and I had never tried Roomster before! The process was really easy and I found the website so great to use! Very straightforward and secure! After interviewing 7 different people in a few days, I have finally found someone who is looking for a long-term rental!

I was having some problems because my roommate decided to move to Boston because of a job and he needed to move out pretty swiftly and left me kind of in trouble. I had heard a co-worker talk about roomster and put an AD up. Straight away I got responses and met with a few people in the next few days. One of them really liked the apartment and has signed a lease and is moving in next week! So happy that everything worked out so well!

My friend and I were looking for an apartment to move into together and we were so happy when we came across ROOMSTER! We really wanted to find a place together and came across this great apartment in the Financial District. I don’t think we would have ever found it without Roomster! We will be living with this great girl who actually ran into trouble when her former two roommates decided to move out at the same time. It all worked out so great and the funny thing is that my friend went to the same college as her! Such a small world!
