This review is from a kid's point-of-view. I've been playing the game for about six months now and have noticed a small amount of profanity and an unexpectedly large amount of sexual acts in the game. There are many games and servers out there that you definitely need to watch out for. The servers and games should be avoided by players that aren't yet aware of the differences between inappropriate and appropriate. As always, YouTube is a big influence on many young players. There are YouTubers/YouTube channels that encourage and enforce the idea that it is okay to perform or participate in sexual/violent/unsafe acts in the game. Games such as "Have a Family", "Boys and Girls Hangout", "MeepCity", "ROBLOX High School", etc. should be avoided by ALL young players no matter if they're responsible and safe online or not. The games have vulgar acts/things in them and strongly influence "online dating". The removal of some sexual actions and movements such as the "lay down" and "sit" feature has barely stopped players from performing obscene acts in the game. Also, in the chat function, instead of replacing an inappropriate word with hashtags or symbols, a message like: "This message cannot be displayed because it contains profanity" would be better as players can easily count the number of symbols and figure out what the player was trying to say. There are many loopholes found by players that should be blocked by the chat filter as well such as "s3x", "six", "sux", "k!$$", "@$$" or purposely misspelling swear words like "bich" so that the chat filter doesn't recognize them.

Roblox is an awesome game! But there is one major problem. There is a whole lot of ODer's (online Dater's) And Roblox doesn't allow ODer's although they don't ban the ODer's for a reason. I Phrase ODer's as people who sign in (make an account) and find a boyfriend/girlfriend and date. It can get sexual WE DO NOT WANT THAT! ROBLOX IS A GAME FOR KIDS AND TEENS NOT ADULTS. They don't ban the ODer's because they get money for the players and dropping the ban hammer on all the ODer's will make them "lose money".

WARNING: Never online date! You don't know who is on the other side of the screen you could be an 11-year-old girl and the person you are dating online is a 35 year old man! You don't know their age! They could lie about their age.AND NEVER EVER! PLAN TO MEET THE PERSON! IT IS BAD LUCK FOR YOU AND YOUR PARENTS SINCE YOUR PARENTS WOULD LET YOU VISIT THEM! They could do bad things Hurt, Rape, OR EVEN KILL.
Please take this into consideration and don't online date :(

Roblox is an amazing game. Unlike minecraft, you can play more than 1 game.
You can even make your own!

There is one thing that i hate about ROBLOX which is that people are not able to use the report system properly. I recently made a video to report a perosn that was being toxic(cursing and swearing) to other players. I immediately reported this and after two days I expected something to happen but nothing happen to that player. It shows that ROBLOX's moderation system does not work. Sure, I respect that this game is free to play compared to Minecraft but it is a copy. It is plagarism and Mojang should have done about this. My final point would be that ROBLOX has many games that are under-rated like Phantom Forces(First Person Shooter game) is rated for 3 year olds. What!

Cons:
-Lazy moderation team that only bans players that don't pay enough money
-Ignores players with memberships but still break rules so regular players are only given bans
-Report abuse feature probably is just a placebo effect (not kidding)
-No anti-cheat system, you can inject. Dll files with code to break rules, no detection whatsoever, they have started breaking the cheats (finally) by updating but they never ban cheaters so there is no point
-Terrible filter that filters out words that aren't even swear words, seriously you can bypass it really easily and the filter is very annoying when you are trying to communicate to someone
-Too many clickbait games (in roblox slang they are called Bait and Switch games and have existed since the beginning of roblox)
-Game is DEFINITELY NOT child friendly, that is a complete lie at the moment.
-Micro-transactions/price-floors are WAY TOO HIGH.
-Forums are usually cancerous and have a lot of trash-posts

Pros:
-Game is really fun with friends
-Some of the games on the front page are FANTASTIC (except those stupid high school roleplaying and hairstylist games)
-Making friends is easy, I have hit the 200 max friends limit and I am a veteran player from august 2012
-Some of the items on the catalog are really cool!
-If you know LUA (programming language), you can put that to use! Roblox is based off of LUA so you can use it to develop games!

Overall, the game needs a lot of reworking to do; it's really bad.

My son was enjoying playing Roblox and everything was fine, until one day his account disappeared. I had several emails back and forth with customer service trying to recover the account. They are totally useless and no help whatsoever. They say they cannot verify ownership of the account. However, they continue to charge my credit card for an optional package that we pay for monthly. My son is devastated that all his work has been lost forever!

Roblox is a good site for gaming, but if you've even SEEN the prices in the catalog - trust me, you won't want to keep your account.

Please, please don't buy any of this for your kids, they'll ask for more, and more, and more...

Do you want to know why roblox gets hacked and lot first off its not a protected website. Second of they steal your money and now there is a virus on it. But does have some good games but most may have some vilence and stuff but my favourite game is prison life. But don't let younger kids play this because the virus is on certain things.
And the game can get hacked any time and if you don't know this and there is a virus you are done.

My 7 year old son loves ROBLOX! At first I didn't mind him playing but I am seeing a significant change in his interest as well as his thoughts. He has become so obsessed with guns that it's concerning. I kno that he wouldn't harm anyone but I am not fond of his newfound interest. As well as the thoughts that he has been having. Just today he came to me saying "Mommy my brain told me to kill you, but I didn't listen". I said "Why did it tell you that? Was it a dream that you had? Tell me exactly what your brain said?" He said that his brain told him to go downstairs, get a knife, put on the EXE music (EXE is a game within Roblox) and kill me because It would be cool. That's frigtening! Please be warned that this game can have mental and psychological effects on your child... especially those of a younger age. At this point he is banned from ROBLOX. It is hard to control and monitor the specific things that I do and do not allow him to do so I am cutting him off COMPLETELY! I am not totally against all of the games in ROBLOX but as I said it is hard to control the specifics so it's not worth it. He can go back to playing Minecraft.

I downloaded for gaming reason, I like any kind of game... Im a gamer mom. I have had it for about 5 hrs played with wifi for better data too see if it would stop glitching and it didn't... I played the course one and every mid jump it would freeze for a second when other players fell. Which caused me to fall threw the cracks or off the small things. It was quite annoying, I also would not let my child play because of the adult predators and language of other children or adults. I can see it was made for children but were there are children there are child predators.
