Ring is a joke never ever put your money into this not worth 1 penny ring is always dead never is in color and most the time don't connect to the video... customer service is a joke the managers there only care about themselfs and getting paid they don't care about the agents that work there and they don't care about the customers... please don't waste your time or money on this company.
However we have had it a year and it has not worked for even 4 full weeks. When I call customer service they say can walk us through to fix but we have to be there. The whole reason we bought it because they advertised to see what is going on when you are not there! We bought for our Florida home. We live in Illinois. We set it up it works... then doesn't. We wait til the next time we are there. Fix it and then. Not working again. They walk us through and still only works about a week or two and stops again. I told them love it when it works but we got a lemon. They do not honor the lemon law and replace. So I guess they do not back their product!

I purchased a Doorbell 2 and two stick up Cams. I received the doorbell and one stick up cam on 9 July 2017. I called and was told the second stick up cam was on back order. I signed up and paid for video recording for both the Doorbell and the stick up Camera that I received, upon completion of the free 30 day trial. The second stick up Camera did not arrive until a second follow up call and it was early Sept. Yesterday my video recording were stopped on all devices and my account shows no previous purchases of the video recording. I have tried to resolve using the online chat (twice) and was told billing would contact me via email within 3-4 hours. That has not happened. I have called the customer service line and been transferred to billing which immediately defaults to elevator music. The first call ended at 40+ minutes with no response and the second call is now 30 minutes and counting. I like the product but the company is not ready for prime time. Their customer support is horrible.

Bought a Ring Doorbell and was dead. Bought another and it only worked half the time. Luckily, I bought these through Amazon so I was refunded immediately. Bought three cameras and one was defective. Decided, to return all product and it has been about three weeks since I returned them with RMA's and tracking and still no refund to my credit card. Even emailed with CEO and Founder Jamie (*******@ring.com) and he answered immediately and was initially helpful but when it came to help in obtaining my refund, Jamie's answer was generic with no assistance. I would not buy this product!

We have owned a Ring doorbell for over a year. I got it for two reasons. First so that I could answer the door if no one was home. Second, we had had someone ringing the doorbell at all hours of the night and the police recommended that we get it so that it could record who was doing this and provide evidence to the police.
First thing is that the application is VERY SLOW. If someone rings your doorbell, you will not be able to answer before they leave unless you already had the app open or they just stand in front of your door for a long time. The Ring ads show someone answering their door with the app already open! Do you really walk around all the time with one specific app open on your phone!? The helpful folks ar Ring said I needed a "booster" although the front door is close to my wifi emitter, so they sent me one and it made NO DIFFERENCE in the speed. But there is another problem. After the first few months, they ask you to pay for your video to be stored in the cloud. The price per month was reasonable, so we got it (if you do not, then there is no way to see who rang the bell after the fact). There was an incident of someone disguised with their face covered ringing our bell and the police asked us to keep that recording as evidence. Since we were paying for the cloud service, we thought that it was being saved. But suddenly it disappeared! It seems that RIng decided one day, without consulting its users, to delete all recordings that were more than two months old! And so they deleted our evidence! And could not recover it! When the thing stopped working because it was no longer touching the backplate, we had it taken off and our old, reliable low tech doorbell put back on. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Really bad customer support. I had three ring flood lights which none of them worked for me. I had to call customer support over 15 times. By the time I decided I didn't want it any more and wanted my refund they had to process the refund twice. It's been over 15 days that I process the order and still nothing that I get my money back. I had to call again, they told me they couldn't do anything for me just reprocess the refund and wait another 7-10 business days. Awful product. Needs more work.

All the reviews I've read here are accurate. Slow response time. Work when it's wants to. Poor customer service. Dead batteries all the time. One thing I would like to ad is false alarms. I can have someone pull into my driveway and the stupid won't go off but if a large truck drives by it triggers it every time! Sure it offers fancy adjustments to fine tune it but It doesn't work! I fiddled with it way to long. And if you call customer service you'll only get canned answers. I hate this product!

Returned a floodlight cam, stick up cam and solar panel, after reading reviews.
Order didn't have a purchase order or a return label.
Called customer service for information about returning merchandise,
After a hour on the phone I had to create a account on ring website with my credit card information so that they can process return, Ring needs to have a better solution to provide customers with a faster return policy. No one runs a business this way with this process. I will not recommend this product to any one.
On my way to Costco to purchase Arlo pro security camera where I know that they will provide a superior service.
After a week and a half still waiting for my account to be processed.

This is the worst product. I went through 2 Ring Pros and 1 Ring Video 2 doorbells before I gave up. I purchased the Ring Pro for over $200.00, spent $225 for an electrician, $55.00 for a new indoor chime and $25.00 for a transformer. After 4 hours on the phone trying to get it to work, it wasn't until I wanted my money back they sent me a replacement. After a couple of hours on the phone we could never get it to hook up to the WiFi. Then comes the Ring Chime Pro and Ring Video 2 doorbell. Finally got it hooked up only to find out the 2 way communication will not work due to a problem with their firmware. Sent that POS back also. Amazon dumped them due to customer complaints and Shark Tank bailed out for good reasons. I spent close to $700.00 dollars and logged almost 15 hours of phone time and might of well set my money in the curb.

The mechanical design for the device to attach to the wall plate is really poor. I had to open it up to reset for lost wifi connection. The two screws in the bottom which lock the camera to the plate was so tight (due to wethering out at front door) and was impossible to unscrew to open the camera plate. I end up busting the tool and still the screw will not budge. The locking desgn is so poor that it pops semi-open and the battery lost its power without being charged for few days. This is how we lost the door bell connection. I popped it opne and was able to reset and got it working electronically but damn! I still can not unscrew the two locking screws to put it back on the front door. Try using plier but it will not grab. Hopless case. Piece of junk!

I have neighbors that have been taking my property apart piece by piece. I decided to purchase the ring doorbell and two cameras a package deal. My big mistake was not reading the reviews before I purchased the ring products. When I hear commotion outside and try to use the camera on my phone it just turns and turns. Sometimes it doesn't come up at all. Right now all the notifications have stoped so I am not getting any notifications and when I do look outside the camera quality is terrible! The other thing that drives me crazy is most of the videos are going to be two minutes or less no matter what's going on outside your house.

For best streaming performance we recommend 2 Mbps upload and download speeds for Ring Pro and we recommend 1 Mbps upload and download speeds for Ring Video Doorbell. We also recommend running a speedtest right next to your router and comparing the two speeds. Sometimes, even with high internet speeds, the connection isn't as strong at the front of the house. Every time I try to open up the app when there's a ring the app won't open, then it's too late. What good is that? Also the camera is pretty crappy too. Very frustrating, especially since we've had to replace it once already.

They double bill me EVERY month. After I call and spend an eternity on the phone, I will get a refund eventually only to have it happen again and again. Now I can't access my video recordings because they don't show that I have an account - the same account that they double bill every month. It is NOT worth the hassle! Not only that, the cameras have to be recharged so often that they are barely out, and the solar panel is very expensive. I would NOT do this over again. L

I have had my doorbell replaced five times in a year only to keep having the same problems over and over. I also bought a stick up cam which never works either. As a side note, if it's too hot or too cold at any point in time, it doesn't work either. So if you live in a climate that stays at 70 degrees you might be ok. But seriously don't waste your money. Customer service is horrible too.

I ordered 2 floodlight cams to be delivered on May 24,2017 from may 18th is showed it shipped. Six days later it still had not left and still showed it shipped. Website user experience is about a stupid as one can get. How do you design such stupidity? Credit cards are not displayed in a list. There is no way of traversing a list of credit cards to find out which one to delete. User has to delete cards until the card that is having a fault is displayed. My card was a fraud victim and I needed to change to another number but, stupidity prevails in support design. Also, once I've figured out that I had to delete all cards until I was able to add a primary credit card to bill, there wasn't any click action to pay my subscription. Really guys? I'm trying to give you money and nobody in your company (support chat) can answer that simple question? And on top of it, be rude and cut my message session with out addressing any of my issues. How do you stay in business? I trusted your ability to produce a quality product. Two cameras stopped working on top of my billing issues. But, your stupidity in support is pushing back on electrical problems but, the funny thing about that is I bought your solar panel power units for each camera and now there not charging. Did for awhile but, stop. I spent nearly $2k on trust that Ring was a good product. I was wrong.

Well If you use their email support it could be 4 or 5. No ownership ask same questions over and over. How scrappy is the product if one guy can't fix it? Even if it tales 3 or 4 days working with the same guy inspires confidence.

First off, the customer service is awful. They owe me $50 and have for months. Every time I call I am told it will be another 6 weeks. It has been 3 months already. Doesn't take 3 months to cut a check. They are dishonest as far as I am concerned. They say they will call you back and don't. Terrible company.
Also, I purchased a Pro - it worked for a week- then it didn't work at all. Turns out is was not compatible with my doorbell. It blew out my working doorbell so now I need to hire a electrician to fix my doorbell. Also, there is a huge delay in the motion sensor. Postman rings my bell and is in his truck down the street before I get the motion message on my phone. I wouldn't waste my money on this product.

If you do not buy the cloud service this product is not much better than a regular doorbell. Could do much more with a security cam connected to your computer and smart phone for a lot less money.

Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
Answer: It does not work the way it is presented on T. V. The inability to immediately respond "LIVE" to an event renders it useless.
