I was a bit worried ordering a dress from a foreign country, but there was no problem at all! The processing of the order took about 6 days, then the shipping took about ten days as advertised. I could track the package all the way. I ordered a knee-length dress in the 50´s style and an underskirt to go with that. The size was the same as in the table on the website, I measured myself and the dress fits perfectly. I love the dress and everyone says it looks great! I will probably order again. :) (The photo was taken right after the dress came, it surely needs some ironing before I wear it.)
I ordered online from the UK with a little bit hesitance (i'm always dubious after some bad experiences on other sites).
HOWEVER this was definitely not the case with Retro-stage. The process of ordering was straight forward, when i had a query with the product they were quick to answer. One of the dresses was out of stock but the lady got in touch and advised of such and asked if it was OK, which it was and the dress actually turned up sooner rather than later. Love the quality of the dresses well worth the money.
I have 4 happy bridesmaids for my wedding in Vegas this year.

I didn't read reviews before making a large purchase of about $300 worth of dresses back in January... It is now almost April and haven't received anything at all and the tracking is showing is started off in China and has been shipped all over the US to random states and is still not showing that it's on its way to me ANYTIME soon! After reading the reviews, I am so disgusted and heartbroken. I feel I have just been cheated out of money that was used for my birthday gift and it's clear that the company doesn't care and isn't held accountable. If I don't receive my dresses soon and/or if I do, and they are all too small and horribly made, then I am happy to go to court and will be happy to have anyone else wronged by this company to join. Especially since they told me that they're based in California. If it was only around a few dollars and wasn't something I really wanted and looked forward to, I wouldn't be as upset. But the fact that after months I am still empty handed and out $300 makes me physically sick to my stomach. I imagine that the few positive reviews are from people that work for the company of were paid to make nice reviews for them.
If I somehow come out of this unscammed and actually do receive my dresses I will be sure to update everyone.

What a great find! The quality is really good. I was a little concerned buying without seeing but no worries. I was so impressed with their product that I've bought 3 dresses so far. I had to return one because I inadvertently ordered the wrong size. They made the return easy. Very courteous customer reps! Great value for what you pay. I've also ordered a cape, headdress and gloves for an upcoming Titanic dinner! I can't wait to dress up. CAVEAT: Read the size chart carefully as some dresses are made smaller than others. This was my mistake, not reading carefully.

I was really amazed by the excellent quality of the dresses (20 's), I received, when I ordered the first time. If I would have bought them elsewhere I would have payed a small fortune, because of the excellent and detailed work they have. After a little bit of back and forth, they did let me send my dress back (I had to pay for shipping, but it was an in-state CA address so it didn't cost much). They have refunded me. I just wish the process wasn't so stressful. But I appreciate them accepting my return!

SCAM if you need to return something! Avoid this place and buy somewhere else.
I needed to return a dress and wish I had read the reviews before purchasing from here. They don't have any sort of "Cancel Order" option if you want to try to cancel your order before it ships out.
I contacted customer service and they asked me what was wrong with the dress... then said "Actually you cannot return it." And then said that if I must return it, I must pay for shipping and it's a very high cost so I would be better off giving my order to someone else as a gift.
Read the reviews of Retro Stage before making a decision to purchase! I wish I had.
Their phone number seems like a US number, but from their return page, it's full of broken English, so you can tell they aren't exactly being upfront with where things are shipping from.
I have not heard from anyone. Money was taken out of my account. I paid extra for a speedy shipping date.

The dresses looked so picture perfect online. Reality: it's a terribly executed COSTUME. It's astonishing how different the photos online are from the actual product.
I never been more disappointed in a purchase. The dress looks and feels like a costume and the material itself is horrendously low quality. Even the execution is terrible as it has strings hanging off it.

I looked at their policy and a full refund should be issued if the item is "faulty or damaged due to our fault." It quite obviously is and yet they refuse to allow the return. It will cost me more to return the item than it was to purchase. This website is a scam.

According to your size charts I am a size large, exactly. Bust 98 cm, waist 79 cm and hips 103. I am 169 cm tall and a normal shaped woman.

About the not fit problem, You can return back the not fit dresses to get a full refund, but you need to pay the return shipping fee by yourself.

1, get the wrong dress, for example, you order color white but get color Black, or ordered size L but get a size XL and so on.

Wish I could give them zero stars honestly! The website lies about both processing and shipping time. They say processing takes 1-2 days "Bree" from customer service will tell you it takes 3-6 days. They also state 6-9 days shipping with no other options again "Bree" will tell you it's actually 8-15 days. I multiple times have asked for a supervisor but "Bree" refuses to give up sending me information I have not asked for and answering everything besides the questions I have actually asked like for a return label since they didn't deliver or process within their given time frame so I can be refunded for something I couldn't use due to their mistakes and blatant lies. The dresses aren't even that great of quality and run super super small order at least TWO sizes up if you want to deal with scam artists. If you're looking for a gatsby dress go to amazon great quality, pretty accurate sizing, fast shipping, and GREAT customer service. I only wish I had read reviews on this crappy company before wasting $ on a dress that didn't arrive for my event. & "Bree" unless you plan on sending the return label AND refund don't bother responding to this.

When it arrived, I was worried after reading the reviews, but it's not bad after all. The size fits me and the length was good. The material can be better and the shipping can be shorter, but like I said, It's not bad and I actually like it.

I received my dress, shoes, and shawl and all fit perfectly... they all look authentic 20s style wear which is what I have been looking for! Even though took a little longer than it probably should, it was worth it. I recommend that when ordering to plan on allowing time if for some event. Other than that, the products are great!

I ordered 3 dresses not knowing how they would fit and needed to try them on. Their website clearly states you can return them and I therefore felt safe ordering multiple. 2 of the 3 dresses did not fit and I immediately contacted them to return the other two and included all the information they asked before before their 15 day window. I have now emailed 8 times since then because they require you to email first and get confirmation of the return request before mailing them. I have heard nothing from them. The dresses themselves are not great quality and I wish I had gone somewhere else. Buy beware!

If I knew first...
I ordered two dresses and one underdress.
One dress and the underdress arrived after some weeks.
The dress does fit.
After contacting them I was proposed refund of 5 dollar - I thought they must be kidding.
I told them this would be not acceptable the dress doesn't fit I don't want to keep it.
Then the answer was return on your expenses.
Sorry I am in Europe and should pay for shipment to USA?
And there is still a dress to be delivered for which I wanted cancelation.
There is no mention on this in their emails.
I have the impression that the money is lost.
I will only get partially delivered and the product can not be used.

I have ordered three dresses from this company so far, and have had good results. I did need to return one for a different size, and due to patient emails from a Customer Service agent (Linda) I finally figured out how to pay the $10 shipping/return fee via Paypal for the exchange. I could not find a working phone number, so I was worried for a bit after reading some of the reviews, but everything worked out well, and I would order from here again.
(I posted a photo where I'm wearing one of my Retro Stage dresses, and want to add the disclaimer that we don't slather on bronzer - it was just the lighting!)
The dress I ordered got here in time for my theater production I was a little worried. I didn't expect the Dress to be High quality and it wasn't, but perfect for the stage. It was as featured and did not disappoint. Thank you.
I was so excited for this dress but now... I can't even tell whether I like it or not as it never arrived. The web site and tracking site not helpful I just want my dress delivered or a full refund.
I ordered two dresses. The lining was too short on both of them... when I raised my arms half of my backside was visible. When I emailed about returning the team told me that since I would have to pay return shipping they would be happy to just return $10 to me (I spent over $50). I told them that wasn't acceptable and I'd prefer to return them. They asked me to send a picture of the dresses to confirm the condition of them. I did that and I never heard back from them. Also, one of the dresses didn't even have a tag on it out of the bag. I would not trust this company or order from them.
Answer: XL is a Uk size 14 you have to look at the measurements not the Uk and Us sizes as they are a bit out. The sizing chart is at the bottom of the page of the required item go by the cm, s or inches

Answer: It's coming from China and takes 60 days… they add a s"order shipped but it's not shipped… it's a scam sight. Call your bank and dispute the charges.
Answer: I would say yes, China sizes. I ordered 2PCS White Blouse Top & Suspender Pants - White / XL / 10~12 and the size was smaller than a 10, about an 8, but you couldnt wear the pants anyway, so doesnt matter. They list XL as 10-12 but i would still size down and with how the pieces vary greatly, that might still be false.
