"Free" resume builder should mean free. Not a hidden fee at the end making it the only way to download what you spend valuable time doing. Hence the 1 star rating. Looks great but it's a total bait and switch.
You should bilk people for their money before they make the resume, not hit them with that after. It's like threatening them to make the last hour or so meaningless unless they fork over two bucks.
It was easy & all you have to do is plug in your info.
Super easy to build resume. Job skills and description are clear and accurate, saves a lot of time thinking about everything you used to do at your old job.
Good experience however, I would like to see different options for applicants added, for example, a graduate school reference option.
Was very pleased with how easy it was to make a cover letter but I am exceptionally put off by the fact that it was presented that I could download my document for free, even in the email I received where it said "You can download your cover letter to text (. Txt) file for free by logging into ResumeGenuis and going to the Cover Letters tab." Yes, I read the rest of the paragraph as well but it still didn't come off as "you can't download the PDF or Word format for free". So I've very irritated about that but I must commend and say that this service is really great. It made my life a lot easier and I'm sure will be of help in the future.

I do have a small issue with paying for a trial version. Seems to be a good service, but would be benefit much more by offering a free 3 day trial version rather than a paid 2 week trial version.

I didn't know I had to pay. The marketing promotes the service to be free and I was mislead.
Because I need my resume done asap I am paying for it so I don't waste my time starting all over again.
I signed up originally to be able to access my resume to download it and apply for internships as a college student, but instead once the free-trial was over I started getting billed $40/month with no notice. I did not realize this until about 5-6 months later when I saw a random $39.99 charge that I did not remember paying for and then I canceled it right away, but was not able to get in contact with anyone to potentially get reimbursed for the hundreds of dollars that I lost to a pointless subscription.
Disappointed that the "free template" site I thought I opened actually is not free.
