I wish there was less than 1 star review. I have got nothing against the lady who spoke to me over the phone, but the company is a total scam, got charged 3 times $34.85 until started doing my bills more detailed and noticed the charges that were actually supposed to be $4 a month. They only offered $17 reimbursement for a membership that was never used and fraudulently included into the terms and conditions when I was in a hurry to download 1 file. I hope more people will go here and actually read the reviews before giving them your card info. Good luck to everyone looking for a job.

I've been working on my resume for several weeks and I wanted to update some info but my trial had expired. I couldn't afford any of the full priced plans so I called customer service. The agent who helped me was so awesome. She worked hard to find a plan I could afford and went above and beyond to ensure my account reinstatement went smoothly. This was a great experience because job hunting is stressful enough. It's nice to take one hassle off my list.
I purchased a resume for $2.85, I promptly cancelled the subscription (0ver the phone) and was told I would not be charged. 2 months later I noticed that I was still being charged. I made several calls trying to reach someone. The phone calls are not answered and you sit an a long holding pattern waiting on someone to answer you call. Most of my call were about 45 minutes of hold prior to getting a rep. That rep usually just repeated my statements back to me and did not understand English very well. I was assured I would be refunded. After 6 months (!) I realized that they were still charging my credit card! I called several times and was told a manager would call me back (because they are all in meetings every time you call). When he did days later, it was in the middle of my work day and very inconvenient to me, but I made time to speak to him and was told that I would be refunded 3 months now, and 3 in 5-10 days. A few days later I saw the 3 months refunded. I waited and NEVER received my other 3 months back. I tried to call the company several times (extremely long hold times and rep cannot help & has no record of my missing 3 month credit). I gave up and decided that I could no longer continue to waste my time/energy on this project. I called my credit card company and asked for them to refuse the charges. Here is where it gets fun! Resume_Now refunded the last 3 months (there is a reference number attached to each credit) and my credit card company applied for refunds on 3 months (6 total= 3 refunded & 3 owed) the reference numbers matched the last 3 months. So the system showed they were refunded. AND the first 3 months were no longer eligible for refund through my credit card company. SO... do not believe this company and what they say to you. They know what they are doing and how to take and keep your hard earned money. They also own My Perfect Resume and are the same company. BUYER BEWARE!

At the beginning of January I paid $2.85 for a trial. I wasn't very impressed with the results and I was also in the midst of a health flare up. I thought I canceled it back then. I also paid the trial fee by an account that I rarely use. I looked at that account today and I have been charged an additional $23.85 in January, February and March. I spent a half an hour on the phone simply trying to cancel and see if I could get a refund back for the charges in February and March. They would not let me off the phone for a half an hour and until I said "hey, I have a meeting to go to" - the only way I could get off the phone was to agree to a bargain basement $4.95 plan per month. I'm allegedly going to get some kind of a refund, not exactly clear on how much, but I'm not holding my breath. I just got an email saying "thank you for your new order!" They are billing the first $4.95 now and will charge it again $4.95 on 4/17/23. I am so beyond aggravated. Prior to today, they've gotten $74.40 and now I'm paying them another $4.95 just so that I could get off the phone to attend to my job - that this service did not help me get. I guess I'll call again next week and see if I can successfully cancel. Ridiculous.

The $23 over-drafted my account, I'm a college student with low funds, as I'm assuming most people building resumes are. It is 100% a HIDDEN FEE. It takes all of the trust out of the website. I received a receipt for the $3 but had no warning on the auto draft, it's monstrous and they know it or they wouldn't make it so skeemy I don't care how easy and nice my resume came out. I would not recommend this site to anyone and will continue to do so.

I paid the small fee to test out the free trial. Paid close attention to when the trial was ending and cancelled before it was up.
Somehow Resume-Now kept my account active and continued to process payments without my consent. I had no emails confirming these charges were being processed or warning that the trail was not cancelled. I will be disputing the last two months I have been charged without permission with my bank.
This is a classic SCAM company. The hoops I have had to go through just to try and cancel my subscription and then I don't have control to remove my card from the website... are you kidding me!? Chat will only cancel the subscription, they offered NO REFUND, they claim they can't delete the account or my credit card, gave me another email to write to request the account be permanently deleted? The email doesn't even have "Resume Now" in the email address. Seems super suspicious! No legit company makes it this hard to cancel!

Buyer beware!
The Resume-now.com tricks you with the fine print. They offer you a $3 review and then charge you $23.85 monthly. It is difficult to unsubscribe from them and will take more than 30 days of persistent calling. It took me calling the Attorney General's office and calling my legislators! Don't believe the $3 price! It'll be $50 minimum and then they subject you to harassment through emails. The customer service rep will not accept a simple cancellation! The rep will continuously ramble on in a preconceived sales sheet and ignore your pleas to "shut the F___ Up!

If you didn't notice it from the start, small chances to notice it after (no bills and notifications on your mail) and to stop (I 100% sure I cancelled by subscription last month, but checking my account and the subscription is still active).

You have to call to cancel. The customer service rep would not deviate from his speech, despite my pleading to cancel. It took 10 minutes of saying cancel to finally have him shut up and cancel. I didn't even need it for the past three months. This reflects poorly on their predatory business practices and company culture.

Great site to build resume but TOTAL SCAM. They trick you to use the 14 day full access trial which costs 3 dollars, but in the fine print it says they will automatically charge you $23 every 4 weeks. That's way more money than any other subscription I actually use. Why would anyone need to spend $299 annually on this website? It makes absolutely no sense why they would change $23 (every 4 weeks). If I did not check my bank statements, I would have ended up paying $299 for the whole year. An email telling me that they are starting to charge my account because my 14 day trial ended would have been nice, but they took my money without any warning. WEBSITE IS A SCAM BE CAREFUL AND CHECK BANK STATEMENTS!
Update: Resume Now tried to have my review removed from the website due to "invalid account ID Number". Resume Now is even more shady for falsely reporting an invalid ID number to hide the truth.Had to send over a screenshot of my Resume Now account to have my review published.

Although the resume created with them looked nice, they had advertised a free resume. Then it cost. Then it had to be a contract, but it said two-week trial. I didn't find this out until I had already created the resume. I am not looking for a job, just submitting one for a file for a job I already have been working at. So after five days I called to cancel. The customer service rep wouldn't let me cancel, kept going through a spiel. I told him I was not interested and I am retired, just wanted the resume. He persisted and asked if I'd used their cover letter, even after I had told him I wanted nothing but a cancellation. He took almost 10 minutes of my time, and finally I told him I had been respectful, and I expected the same. He continued on with his script. And to start off, even though my name is clearly a female, he called me "Sir", since I have a low voice. I told him I was the person on the account and obviously feminine, I'd appreciate it if he didn't call me "Sir" as he already had a couple of times (his voice was higher). He said he'd never called me "Sir" and proceeded to argue. I told him he had, it was not a big deal, just say, Sorry, and it was done. He continued to argue. That is just one example of the poor service I received. He finally cancelled it, but by then I was major ticked off. I asked where they were out of so I could report them to the BBB and he said California and he wasn't required to give me any more info. Total jerks.
