This listed price of the hotel advertised by this website is a scam. Once you hit the "reserve" key, the price will jump up to more, and if you try to cancel it, they will hit you a $20.0 fee on your credit card. Be careful. DONOT use this website again!

They lied and scammed me!
December 18, 2021

I went to the Ritz Carlton hotel site and put in my days of needing a room in Atlanta GA. I thought I made the reservation directly with the hotel only to find out I was scammed by Reservations.com. I immediately called them and they told me they would refund my money. I spoke to 2 managers, one with the name Patel. I was told they would give me a courtesy refund since it was just made. I didn't call my credit card company because I was told by 2 managers I would be refunded.
I just received my statement, no refund and they charged me a service fee! Watch yourself! This place is a con for sure. The CEO claims to have all these awards. They are a fraud as well!
Reservations.com is a fraud and they will steal from you!

When I booked the hotel from this website; it clearly said "cancel free and parking free". First when I received the booking, it said the reservation can't be cancelled. And when I checked in the hotel; I was charged $400 valet parking. When I tried to call reservation.com and get refund from, their support only can be reached by email and I can't even talk to them.
Now I have to contact my credit card to see whether I can get my money back. If they don't say "free parking" in the website, I wouldn't make the reservation at all. This is just ridiculous, never ever use it.
Here is their reply:
"Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds of charges that were made by the hotel during your stay.

We suggest you contact the hotel directly regarding a refund of the resort fees."

Run the other way! Use a reputable company
December 13, 2021

They are very happy to take your money for reservations however, don't cancel or detract days from your hotel stay even if it's immediately after making your reservation and a month and a half prior to the actual hotel stay. They don't enjoy refunding that money of yours. No wonder they have such crappy ratings and reviews. Customer service not at all helpful, customer is never correct. Remember that when you are working with this company. Yep, not happy!
Gave them one star, don't even deserve a negative number.

Scam artists
December 12, 2021

Stayforlong are a bunch of scam artists and promise you a refund but essentially steal your money. They will attempt to challenge your chargeback on your debit or credit card. SFL are listed on Trivago and Expedia and therefore aided and abetted by them. Stopped using them too.

Scammers
December 9, 2021

Upon reading the reviews after the fact, i realize what a scam this company provides. When booking. I thought i was dealing directly with the hotel of my stay. No. Reservations.com had a spot on the hotels check in page. Long story short, when i received my conformation i see a 19.99 service fee. Within minutes i attempted to cancel. I was told it was n OP n refundable and hung up on three times when i asked for a manager. The fourth call, she splogized for the inconvenience and said she would refund and i would be getting an emai to clarify. No such thing happened and i was charged the service fee after all. This is scamwork and stealing from people. I will attempt again to get the money back. Now its principle. I will be contacting the bbb. Stay away from reservations.com

I am a Canadian booking a Canadian hotel and I got charged USD which bumped my cost up $200 immediately. Called to either cancel or be refunded the USD portion and apparently I have a non refundable room rate AND they are a US company so I get charged USD. The manager told me that when I entered the site I was suppose to click off Canada so i would be charged Canada rates... if the selection populated OBVIOUSLY I would have selected Canada but the site resorted to USD. Disputing with my Credit Card company. So unethical.

I have purchased 2 reservations for my workers. I received the confirmation by email but I needed to have an official invoice with the details of the taxes and their Government tax number. I called twice and they hang up and when I asked by email they said they can not provide invoice other than the email I received. When I asked for at least their taxes number they never answer back.

Per the reservation, I have until two days prior to the check in date to change or cancel my reservation. I wanted to change my check-in date from the 24th to the 26th but I can't because the hotel is sold out. I'm not adding any dates just taking two away. And somehow it's not possible? I only used he company due to my organization's discount policy. I'll be more cautious next time. Book through a hotel directly or something reputable like Expedia. Buyer beware

This is a sleazy company, do not book with them
November 27, 2021

I booked a room through res.com. The hotel is a "crack hotel". Between the time i checked in and got to my room, three different groups of police were in the hotel dealing with various crimes. The hotel was filthy, there were people doing drugs in the hallways. I asked a cop if the hotel was safe and was told NO. I promptly left and am now fighting with res.com for a refund. RUN AWAY FROM THIS SLEAZY COMPANY!

Grandparent nightmare
November 27, 2021

We booked a 2-night hotel stay at the Dean in Providence. After one night we were informed our grandchild was ill so we had to leave. The hotel offered to refund one night. They contacted reservations.com and Expedia. 3 weeks later, nothing. Grandparents beware! I could add other issues, but this was the biggest one. Sick grandchild means nothing to these folks. Need I say more?

It was very unfortunate for my kids that the reservation lady lied about the hotel having a working pool. I specifically asked to make sure the hotel had a pool. She put me on hold and came back on to the line to say yes they did and I said I'm not going to book it if it doesn't have a pool. I guess thinking about it now, she was a bit hesitant saying yeah. So, I cannot cancel and I ask for some kind of compensation. No and a hang up. First and last time using this company.

We booked a hotel room that turned out to be in total different country. When we called reservation to change location we got disrespected, rejected, hang up on, etc… by both employees and managers over 10 times. This is a total scam company starting all the way from the top as they are not taking actions. I would love to hear both founders and cofounders comments on the same Yatin Patel and Mahesh Chaddah.

I made three reservations through reservations dot com in August 2021 for one night in November 2021 and two nights in December 2021. Later, I realized I needed to change the December reservations so I called Reservations dot com in November to make the changes. They told me the changes were made but would not send a confirmation email with the new dates. I called twice and each time was told I would receive the confirmation email in 24 hours. It has now been one week and I still have not received the confirmation email. Mind you, the rooms were paid for in full in August 2021. I thought that was a bit excessive but chalked it up to COVID. Now I'm wondering if it wasn't just Reservations dot com. They seem shady to me. I do not recommend them and do not plan on using them again in the future.

My husband recently booked a hotel in the nearest big city to us, because he had a Medical Procedure coming up. He called the Hotel directly, and assumed he was speaking to someone at their front desk. He received a confirmation email from the front desk of that Hotel. His procedure was cancelled, so he emailed directly back to the hotel to cancel. Today the Hotel called to see what time we were arriving, and when he said he had cancelled, they told him they had no record of this and he had to go through Expedia to cancel. By now we were on the day we were supposed to arrive at the Hotel We knew nothing about having to go through Expedia. Turns out it wasn't even Expedia but Reservations.com a company we had never heard of. He was not given any of this information at the time of booking, not given an itinerary number nor any directions on cancellation. So of course he assumed that he would just cancel through the hotel. After several hours of trying to sort this out we eventually discovered that we had to go through Reservations.com and I ended up speaking to the rudest customer service agent I have ever encountered. We are not impressed with Reservations.com at all. I would give them ZERO stars, but the computer won't accept this.

I almost booked a room in Canada, which was $418 for two nights. That was consistent with Expedia's, but the 'taxes and fees' were very different - $80 for Expedia - consistent with our tax rate, and $166 for reservations.com - extra 'taxes' of $40, plus the reservation.com fee of $19. He couldn't explain why other than to say once I got to the hotel I would get charged a bunch of extra fees but not with reservations.com... so I called the hotel and no extra fees... pretty suspicious. I booked with Expedia...

My wife was booking a room for a girls weekend in Indianapolis. She thought she was dealing with Best Western Directly, but it was actually Reservations.com. She spoke to a representative that assured her that she was booking a room with 2 beds and a pull out sofa at the downtown Best Western. She got to the hotel and they have no such rooms and they were booked full. An hour on the phone with customer service and she was rebooked at the Best Western Airport, a less desirable properly. She was originally charged over $500 for the booking, but upon checking out, of the less desirable property, she was given a receipt for $220. Trying to figure out where the $300 went to. Customer service will do nothing. Do not book with these CON ARTISTS!
