DO Not use this Reservation sight we canceled our hotel reservation in the proper time allowed and they would not refund our money $276.00 if you call them to try and get it resolved they hang up on you they will also charge you $19.99 that is non refundable. I don't understand how they can get away with this if you check the other reviews they have done this to others.
I was browsing the prices on their site for an airport hotel I use regularly but it had no room availability because reservation companies had bought the rooms. I did not make a reservation yet they put a pending charge on 26.15 cdn on my card! I called and they said they'll reverse the charge. Fine, but why was it there at all?
My wife used reservations.com to research hotels for a recent stay in Boston. She found a good price, and like many of us do, decided to call the hotel direct instead of booking here - but, unfortunately, she used the number from the reservations.com website, so she actually booked through reservations.com. And, they NEVER let on that she was talking to someone at reservations.com... the hotel they booked was actually CLOSED for renovations! We found out because the hotel contacted us and said "if you booked with us, we've cancelled your reservation, but if you used a service, then you have to call them" - I know, stupid us - but again, my wife THOUGHT she was talking to the hotel front desk when she made the reservation, so she never even thought about calling anyone else to cancel anything after reading the email. You see where this is going. We got charged $952.30 for 2 rooms for 1 night in a hotel that was closed, and reservations.com had NO sympathy - they did nothing for us - didn't discount us, didn't offer us another stay another time - they just took all our money for NOTHING. I tried to argue it with the credit card company, and also no luck. So - NEVER USE THIS SITE! They are an evil, vile, nasty organization that puts corporate income above customer satisfaction. I think I should report them to the better business bureau.
Was charged $160 when my subtotal was 102 and all the crazy fees that they put on there. And then called 2 minutes later when I realized all the fees and they said you booked it there's no cancellation. Lesson learned never with anybody except for a travel agent or the actual hotel.
I live in Vancouver and was looking for a local Vancouver hotel.
I searched for a specific hotel, and brought up what I thought was their website.
I found a rate which was reasonable ($349/night), and no currency was specified. Living in Canada and choosing a Canadian hotel I automatically assumed currency was local.
When the invoice came up there was one red flag: 35% sales tax. In BC we have 11% hotel tax so their fees are greatly inflated, coming in at almost $500.
I couldn't reconcile the fees but the rate still ended up on par with Expedia and Hotels.Com to I went ahead and hit the pay button.
This is when my credit card received a $624 bill and I realized for the first time that the currency was USD.
In all, I went from a great $349 rate to a $624 rate. For one night.
It went from being a better rate than most other sites to being $124 higher than the others. Intentionally designed to make it seem like a great deal when it's in fact the worst deal that was available.
Very misleading website with exorbitant fees. I will ensure I never use Reservations.Com again and am busy spreading the word tho others.
My family was traveling and had an electrical fire in the house that we were to stay in. I stumbled on reservations.com thinking I was contacting Quality inn directly and got an agent. The agent booked my reservation from a hotel that he selected that was supposed to accommodate my family and my dog. When I got there the hotel would not allow my dog in. I called reservations.com back and they told me that my family was out of luck and that my reservation was non refundable. Quality inn authorized my refund after I had to make a trip to their location several days later from the guidance of another reservations.com agent. Reservations.com ripped me off for 2 nights stay and I still had to secure a hotel and pay for it. I would never recommend anyone to use their services, EVER! The agents should be held responsible for their mistakes.
DO NOT use this site, book through the hotel website. Why in the world would someone book a non-refundable reservation.
Reservations.com has Terrible customer service! I called them because they charged my visa more then what was suppose to be charged and while I was talking to their customer service about it, she hung up on me. She refused to correct the overcharge. I will never use them again.
I made a reservation 6 months ago and with the economy, gas prices, cots of food, I can no longer go away. I called and begged for a refund with no sympathy. I could use the $200 plus I paid back then, but no one will help me. The just kept saying that it was nonrefundable and that is their policy. Beware of using this site. They have no compassion to help when circumstances cause unpredictable hardships.
I had a guest book with reservations.com They linked them with Agoda which I do not care for as well.
So upon check in the card on file declines. The guest and I spent 45 mins trying to get help to check in. They kept transferring us to different people who had no idea how to fix the issue. It was very frustrating for both the guest and I.
7 charges made against 2 credit cards as they said the first one was declined only to find out the she was trying to book a room that was already reserved. Now having to deal with these multiple charges. Plus, we were not told about the additional charges of 19.99. Will not use this site again!
I made a reservation with reservation.com by accident, I called within the hour to cancel and was told its non-refundable so I can't cancel my reservation? All that can be done is a request to be placed and someone will contact me in 7-10 days to "see" if it can be cancelled? This is a horrible way to do business! DO NOT book with this site, ever!
We used them to book hotel. We ended up having to cancel our resverations due to work and myself havng back surgery. 9 hours in a car? I do not think so. We canceled 2 days in advance. Now, they ABSOLUTLY REFUSE to return the $320.00. We were ok with them keeping the booking fee of $19.99. How many people have they scammed like this? All of us should get together and start a Class Action Law Suit!
BEWARE: They don't issue refunds for cancelations. In addition, they charge exorbitant fees. NEVER AGAIN. They should receive 0 stars. Book DIRECTLY with the hotel of your choice.
I was very disappointed that I used reservations.com to book a room in my favourite hotel. When doing the search, the best price was on the reservations.com site. I was happy for a moment, until a 134$ per night room turned into a $218 per night room! The rate became ridiculous when the dollars were converted from USD to Canadian $, then a $99 fee was added, as well as taxes. YIkes. I will not ever use their site again, especially given that they refused to cancel, once I had realized the extra charges would apply. Booking on the day of travel, you need to call the hotel directly and avoid reservations.com!
They booked my hotel in the wrong state. Was super nasty when I called to work something out. Very rude customer service person. Called the hotel in the other state, they said there was no problem getting a refund from them but Reservations.Com had to request it. Reservations.Com would not do it.
I would give less than one star if I could. Their website is misleading and deceptive. I called 2 mins after I accidentally booked the wrong location to cancel or transfer. The phone person was very rude and refused to help. Charged me regardless.
We had weekend reservations at The Cyrus Hotel in Topeka, KS. Thanks to multiple cancelled flights by AA on 6/17/22, we were unable to get there.
After several attempts, the hotel agreed to refund our advance payment, but noted that they had to refund to Reservations.com - which they did.
Reservations refused to send the money back to us. AVOID these 'people' at all costs. Now and Forever!
I've never had a more horrendous customer experience. After needing to cancel a reservation, reservations.com claimed that they "can't" give refunds. Going back and forth with them for a while, they said they would call the hotel manager to see if she would approve the cancellation. She said no at first. Reservations.com said if I wanted to try calling her myself I could... so I did. The hotel manager agreed to the cancellation. 5 days later, there was no refund from reservations.com so I called them to inquire. They said they only had record of the hotel manager refusing to cancel. I told them that I spoke to her myself (as they suggested I do) and she had agreed. They basically said I was a liar and still refused to refund me. They told me if I gave them the hotel manager's name, I could submit a refund request. So I called the hotel manager... she said she had, in fact, refunded the money to reservations.com and couldn't believe they were giving me such a hard time. I called reservations.com back and gave them the hotel managers name and they then claimed I needed a written letter from the hotel manager! They never said anything about this before and simply stated I'd only need a name. They refused to speak to her directly and said they "weren't allowed" to contact the hotel manager even though they had previously. Their stories and requests kept changing and it was quite clear that this company simply does not want to give me my money back. After demanding to speak to a supervisor who gave me the same spiel the other employees did, I told them I was not going to let this go and that they needed to speak to the hotel manager directly. They finally did and she confirmed the cancellation.
I have never been treated so poorly or required to jump through so many hoops to receive a refund. This company is absolutely terrible. Don't EVER book with them.
Oh also... Their website is in US currency (not CAD) and it doesn't state that anywhere until you pay.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
