Consider sleeping on the street before booking with Reservations.com. I hastily book my room not realizing I was on their website and subsequently paid $200 more in fees, so I guess it's my fault. However, 5 minutes after realizing my mistake I tried to cancel and was told I could but would lose the entire amount I just overpaid for my room. Lesson learned... NEVER again!
Booked 2 rooms at a hotel 6 months in advance of our event. Was charged (found out later) much more that the rooms were worth. Then when I got to the hotel, I was informed that the rooms were not paid for and had to pay again!
The hotel says they are not associated with this booking site.
Email and phone calls to both reservations. Com and the hotel have so far been frustrating and each blaming the other.
Have not received a refund!

I am very disappointed with my experience using Reservations.com. I recently booked a reservation through their website and was charged in USD instead of CAD, with no clear indication during the booking process. It was only after my purchase that I noticed, in very small print on their site, that prices are listed in US dollars. At no point was I given a clear option to select my preferred currency, despite what their support team claims.
After looking into it further, I found many other customers reporting the same issue, which seems to be a recurring problem. I contacted their customer service to request a refund, but after 4 days, I still haven't received any response.
If this situation is not resolved soon, I will have no choice but to escalate my complaint. I strongly advise others to be cautious when booking through this website.
We reserved through reservations.com, unfortunately we experienced a severe snow storm with highways being closed do we could travel. They would not cancel our hotel reservation without changing a one night stay even though it was weather related and not our fault.
Before you read the rest of the review there has been an update you should see first.
On February 27, the $32.62 U.S. Reservations.com service charge was refunded to my credit card, but by March 1, Reservations.com had cancelled that refund. On March 3, the $135.85 U.S. hotel charge was refunded to my credit card. Hopefully, the $135.85 will not be reversed, and the previously refunded $32.62 refund will follow.
I am quite pleased with the communication from Reservations.com and am confident that the firm will honour the email it sent to me in which it stated, "Please be advised that we have processed your refund in FULL in the amount of 168.47 USD."
Once the $32.62 has been refunded the post will be updated.

On February 26,2025, I thought I was booking a hotel reservation with Hilton Hotels. In fact a third party, Reservations.Com created the reservation. Reservations.com presented itself as the Hilton Hotel Reservation Desk. This is a deceptive practice. I feel cheated. Multiple charges were made to my credit card:
$135.85 U.S. ($199.41 Canadian)
$ 32.62 U.S. ($47.89 Canadian)
Reservations.com quoted the full room rate as $168.47 when in fact, $32.62 were service fees. I cancelled the reservation but was told that I may not receive the refund because Reservations.com has a no-cancellation policy. The cancellation will now go to the Reservations.com billing department, which will call Hilton Hotel and ask if the hotel will accept the cancellation.
I called the Hilton Hotel directly when I was on the phone with Reservations.com and was advised that this was not the first time that this had happened and that the hotel would accept the Reservations.com cancellation without penalty.
I rebooked with the Hilton Hotel representative. The room rate was $117.35, which is a $51.12 U.S. savings from the Reservations.com rate of $168.47.
A fraud dispute resolution claim has been made with VISA for Reservations.com misrepresentation as Hilton Hotels. VISA requested that if the cancellation is not processed as promised, then VISA will follow up with Reservations.com.
I called to booka hotel room for one night in Toronto, Ont., one closest to the Pearson airport. There was NO reservation!
I lost my money for their mistake. Never again!
This place is a rip off. The website says one price, but once you are charged for the room, a diferent prices is calculated on your credit or debit card. When trying to get your money back for the over charge or cancel, they give you hell and try to offer all kind of extra over night stays to try and satisfy you. Then apply a charge that you cannot get back when you cancel. I will never get a room from them EVER again, nor will I tell others to book with them.
I travel often but this was the first time I used Reservations.com. During check-in at the motel I asked the cashier how much I was charged and he responded that he did not have that information as it was confidential between Reservations.com and me. When I reviewed the emailed receipt, I noticed Reservation.com charged me a $39.12 service fee on a $72.99 room. I contested the service fee with my credit card company and it's currently under review. Before booking take a look at the reviews and ignore the reviews on Registrations.com website.
This company illegally took money out of my account multiple times. Phone calls were made to correct the problem and a request to speak with the supervisor was Maid. No one from the company would call me back.
Hidden fees and a hidden cancellation agreement.
Not only did their website charge me twice, they refused to refund the double-charge. I also booked the hotel 6 months in advance, cancelled my reservation within 24 hours. They refused to refund that as well. I had to dispute with my CC. No booking agency should keep a refund when you cancel a reservation 6 months out! This place is a SCAM.
I made a reservation with this site. I put in certain dates but when I confirmed the dates were different. They took $1,600. Out of my account. I called 10 minutes after booking to ask about changing the dates and they refused. Then I asked them to refund my money and they refused. This site is a SCAM! DO NOT USE IT!
Tried to change a reservation 15 minutes after booking and was told they would charge me up to $550 to change a $150 reservation. When I spoke to a supervisor she said there was nothing she could do.
I booked a hotel reservation with them, but then hurricane helene hit and i had no choice but to cancel my trip I live on a barrier island in st pete beach florida, and i was literally unable to leave the island, the police had shut us down, even my sons couldnt come on the island to help us. they refused to refund my first night stay at the hotel, even though the airline, car rental, and other hotels did without a problem. I called the hotel and they told me they didnt charge me and that the charge came from this site. Its been months now, and i still have not heard from them, after many phone calls and emails I would not trust this site or recommend them to any one! Stay away!
Make sure you pay good attention to the terms and conditions before booking with this sight. My taxes and fees were over half of the room cost for 2 nights.
Greetings,
I’d love to help! I have searched our system but I am having a hard time finding your reservation with the information provided. I made a reservation that I immediately (less than 30 minutes later) had to cancel. Reservations.com
Refused to refund ANY of the purchase price! I demanded that they cancel the reservation and send me a confirmation email of the cancellation. They canceled the room. Did not send an email.
I am going to try to dispute the charge with my credit card company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RESERVATIONS.COM! THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR FRAUD
They booked a reservation with an unauthorized credit card. It was a fraudulent charge. They used their address for the reservation. To make matters worse Johnathan at Staybridge in McLean VA said as long as he had his money he didn't care.
I booked a quick getaway through them for a casino in Cherokee, NC. What they posted and what the actual hotel was wasnt even close. I was charged all kinds of fees and they totally misrepresented with old photos that looked like nothing there. When we arrived, I spoke to the hotel manager that said he wasn't able to refund our money because it was booked with Reservations.com. The day we returned I contacted them immediately. I was told by their agent that I would have had to cancel the day prior in order to be refunded. I repeatedly explained to them that they misrepresented the hotel and was told, "too bad, your not getting your money back", then they hung up. I have now contacted by bank and had them investigate the issue 3 times. I provided multiple photo's along with letters and they still are fighting that the charge stands. I would not EVER USE OR RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE. I WOULD RATHER NOT TAKE A VACATION THEN USE THEM! Reservations.com are nothing more than a bunch of crooks that lie and cheat you!
BE AWARE!
I booked hotel on reservation.com website. They show you the price, you book, you check out and the final invoice the hotel gives you looks fine, but then when you check your credit card invoice you realize they charge you fee in USD (what way more than what the hotel told you) + a fee in USD that you have no clue about. Then when you try to call the phone number on reservation.com website, you'll realize they're just fraud and none is gonna answer you.
Never use reservation.com website.
I booked a room on line advertised as $72. Entered my credit card, Reservations.com billed my card $130.60. When I checked into the room, I asked about the price of the room. Room $63.53, tax $6.99, total $ 70.52. Resverations charge room $72, taxes $19.60, service fee $ 39.00, total $130.60. This site should be removed for Google and the internet!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at [email protected] so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
