I was ripped off. Got to Quality Inn Motel in Lumberton, NC and there was no reservation. Efforts to clarify with Reservations.com I was told they did not have my name. Yet they had my credit card number!. Guess what, my credit card was charged for the motel room plus a $14.99 fee. Can you believe that? Also, like others I thought I was booking a stay directly with the Hampton Inn only to find out that I had booked with the Quality Inn across the street from Hampton Inn! How do they get away with this? Apparently, there is no way to appeal this rip off.
This company's business practices are horrible. They charge you fees for making or cancelling reservations. They mislead you into thinking your are clicking the link directly to the hotel's website.
I am a Diamond Member with Hilton. I went to the official Hilton site to make a reservation and listed below the Hilton Site but appearing to be part of the Hilton Site I was given the phone number for Reservations dot com. This useless classless deceptive company took my reservation leading me to believe i was dealing with Hilton Corp. They charged me an additional $$12.99 fr their service fee, which included a woman from the Philippines who could barely speak English.
Additionally; I did not get my Hilton Points (which is being dealt with seperattly) Stay away from this scam of a company. They rely on deception and cost you money and your hotel points.
I like others thought I was booking a stay directly with the Hotel only to find out that I had booked with the wrong Embassy Suites.
I tried to switch my reservation with NO LUCK.
PISSED OFF

The bed at the hotel I booked through reservations.com was covered in ants. When I complained to the hotel, I was told that reservations.com would have to give me a refund. I emailed them and told them of the situation. I never heard back from them. Not a good way to run a business!
I HATE TO BE DECEIVED... DO NOT BOOK WITH RESERVATIONS.COM IT APPEARS YOU ARE BOOKING DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL... ONLY TO FIND OUT YOU'RE BOOKING WITH A SCAM COMPANY THAT WILL CHARGE 30% MORE + A SERVICE FEE FOR WHAT? I WILL REPORT THIS SCAM COMPANY... IN THE MEAN TIME DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM... I REPEAT... DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM
This company is a joke. I made
Reservations fora room that it did not have clearly it was non refundable. I told them it was not going there. They tell me to get waiver from hotel but hotel does not have reservation. When i ask for a reservation number that the hotel can find they send the same info. Dont trust this company.
I was in Holiday Inn Express, Reno, NV site booking a room for the 28th of this month. I called the Holiday Inn to double check on the reservation, only to find out the third party that pays them is hotelbeds.com. These thieves somehow pretend to be the hotel directly and charge you over 20% more than the hotel would have charged. I'm out $220.00 for a one night stay. Called my bank but the charge was authorized and their hands were tied. The bank Is opening an investigation taking up to 10 business days. I don't hold out much hope for my money return. Tried several times to call this company's customer service, and after punching the number for cancellation, was told (by recording) service was not available at that time and to try again later. There wasn't a number choice to speak with an actual person. I reported these shysters to Ripoff Report also. Hopefully, the SEC will pick up on this.
I THOUGHT I was booking directly with the hotel. Within 5 minutes of finding out this was a 3rd party, I contacted them only to be told that I could not cancel the reservation because it was for the same day, although check in was 6 hours away. I never received an email confirmation. I immediately called my credit card company to dispute the charges. That was 2 weeks ago. So far I'm out of $100 because of this scam. I was on another site and all 270 complaints were similar to mine and everyone else on here. I Won't go out without a fight!
Reservations.com are imposters. They pretend to be the hotel directly and charge you 30% more in fees than the hotel itself. When you try to cancel they said you will not be refunded at all. They are scam and a thief! I am planning to do a lawsuit if anyone is interested on joining please let me know. I might not be able to win if I do it alone but if we all stick together we might have a case.
I found out by accident that I booked through www.reservations.com as they do a good job of spoofing the hotels website. Thinking I was talking to the hotels reservation department, nope was talking to reservations.com. I was booking from Canada for a Canadian hotel and they didn't mention anything about the charges in USD and how they were going to charge me a booking fee of $14.99 USD. Go the complete run around when talking to them, some said I couldn't get my money back. Had to talk to my hotel and get instructions on how to get my money back which evolved making the phone agent phone the hotel and talk to manager. Once that was done then I got my reservation hotel charges back. As I write this still fighting form my $14.99 booking fee as they try to say they have refunded me all the money. Avoid them at all costs, they are horrible!
I booked a reservation through reservations.com (thinking it was the hotel site) at 7:20 AM one morning. When I got the confirmation, I realized I had booked the wrong date, and call them immediately (less than 1 hour), I worked my way through the telephone menu and spoke to a representative. After holding, the representative told me they called the hotel, but could not reach a decision maker. They promised to call me back, after following up with the hotel.
Surprise, no callback was made. I checked again 3 days later, and the status was the same. The representative told me the follow-up team would get back to me. She was unable to transmit copies of their internal notes, which confirmed the above. As I was unable to talk to the follow-up team; the representative suggested I email them. When I told her that was unsatisfactory, she said email the escalation team.
I realize the representative was following protocol, but protocol for this company is apparently to take the money and run.
Terrible customer service and totally inflexible system. Had to modify reservations to cancel one of three nights. They had to cancel the total reservation and rebook. They then told us the rooms were not available for nights we already had previously reserved. Proceed using them at your own risk especially if you might need to make any changes.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They messed up my dates, never sent a confirmation email and charged my card. Customer service was no help - "said there is nothing we can do" even though the resort said they would not charge. They were a 3rd party vendor I got pushed to through Expedia, so be careful - Expedia is good, this vendor is terrible and I let Expedia know about the issue.
I had get a free hotel voucher from Reservation. Com. They told me that if I want to reserve a hotel, I need to sent a mail to their company 21days before the due date and wait for their reply in 3 days. However, I had sent 4 mail to this company since 18 May and I didn't get any reply. I finally get their reply on 31May. Unfortunately, they reply me that the hotel are currently fully booked for the month of June & July.On top of that, my voucher will be expired on 7 July.So is it their responsibility to told me that I'm not afford to have a hotel in this two months? After that, I had sent 2 mail to complain about this matter but I still didn't get any reply till now.
So I booked our family vacation with the belief that I was booking directly with the resort. The representative that booked our room said we could cancel our reservation any time before a certain date. I asked for a 2 bedroom condo on the beach for the 4 of our family members. They were suppose to email the itinerary, but I never received it. I called the next morning to get the itinerary. And was surprised to see it was for only 2 guests (not 4), it was in a villa on a golf course across the street from the beach (not a condo on the beach). So I immediately called the hotel to get this corrected and that's when I found out I was using reservations.com. I called them to cancel and was told I would have to pay a cancelation fee. Why in the world would I have to pay any fees for their mistake! I have spent a month on the phone hours on hold trying to get it resolved. They have done nothing but aggregate me. So I called the credit card company. If they can't get it resolved we will be going to court! This company is absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I will never make this mistake again. Please don't let these people ruin your vacation. If there was a zero rating that would be more fitting.
I googled the name of an inn in NH that I wanted to stay at. I wanted to book directly with them, and the link that came up looked like it was for the Inn itself. I made the reservation, and the confirmation email said there would be no change or cancellation fee if done within 14 days of my planned stay. When I needed to make a change I called the Inn and only then did I discover that I had used inadvertently used this third-party company. The innkeeper and i were both disgusted to find out that reservations.com charged me MORE than I would have paid if I booked directly, AND they were paying the inn less than they would have gotten for a direct reservation. When I contacted reservation.com to cancel, I also found out that they had charged me a $14.99 nonrefundable "service fee". The person I spoke to couldn't eliminate the service fee. I asked to speak to her supervisor and waited 34 minutes before a supervisor came on the line. She then said that they only way the service fee could be refunded was by emailing their "escalation team."
I googled the hotel to make a reservation. They came up first and I did not realize I was making a reservation through them. They charged me forty dollars more than I could have gotten from the hotel directly. When I called their toll free number, I spoke with a call service outside America. She was very rude and hung up on me when I asked to speak with her supervisor. Darryl Isaacs
Do not use this company! A complete scam. When you all it sounds like you're booking through the hotel, but you're not. They charge you for using their service and don't mention it to you in the call. Booked a reservation with these idiots and when I went to the hotel, they had cancelled my reservation. Still trying to get my 200.00 dollars back. These people are the worst.
The business address of reservations.com is 1390 N Orange Ave, Orlando, Fl. *******.
Reversations.com is running an internet SCAM. The owners of this company should be prosecuted and thrown into prison! The SCAM runs like this: If you want to reverve a room in any particular city, you look it up on the internet. A web page appears with the name of the hotel you'd like to make reservations with, so you make the reservation. In my case, the advertised cost on that fake web site indicated $99 a night. After paying for the reservation, you receive an email confirmation from reservations.com? The confirmation charge in my case was $133.56? Two questions come to mine... where did reservations.com get involved in this, and why is the charge $133.56 for an advertised $99 room? You realize that you've been scammed. You call reservations.com to cancel. The Pakistani sounding woman will ask, "Have you read our cancellation policy?" You have no knowlege about any cancellation policy because you had no clue that you were booking through reservations.com. She tells you that there is a fee to cancel. If you cancel, you will still pay $14.99. To put salt on the wound, after locating the actual Hotel web page, you discover that the rooms can be rented for only $80 a night! This is a Bait & Switch operation by reservations.com posting web pages that appear to be the Hotel web page you were wanting to connect with.
I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office in Florida over this SCAM. Unless other people who have been ripped off by reservations.com follow up with their own complaint, reservations.com will continue to run their SCAM. The owner/operators of this internet SCAM need to be prosecuted and thrown into prison. If you've been burned by reservations.com. Don't just sit there and complain, get off your butts and file a complaint with the AG's office in Florida. You can do that on the internet. Let's put these SCAMMERS into prison!
I'm also sending a complaint to the US AG's office because of this nation wide SCAM. You should too! Send your complaint to:
US Department of Justice
