I would highly recommend against using this company. There is a service fee charged that is non-refundable of $19.99. On top of that I checked the site after talking to the guy on the phone and his "lowest possible price" was over $30 more than the price on their own site. The service fee alone makes it worthwhile just booking directly with the hotel, but the shady practices prompted me to write this review. It was worth it to me to cancel even with losing the $19.99 non-refundable service charge that they kept.
I would give less than one star if that was an option. The direct hotel website routed me to reservations.com and I didn't even realize I was using this site to book. It ended up costing so much extra because of the service fees. I called customer service 15 minutes after I realized and tried to cancel my reservation. They said they would look into it and five days later I got an email saying my booking was non refundable. Such a waste of time and money for no reason. Terrible customer service.
I made a mistake by accidentally reserving a hotel room in the wrong state! This error was not discovered until a month later when we tried to check into the intended hotel in a completely different state. OOPS! Upon discovering the error, we paid for another reservation at the correct hotel.
A few days later (after returning home from our visit), I reached out to the customer service agents of Reservations.com who promptly explained the process and possibility of a refund... and exactly who to contact at the mistake hotel. With the cooperation of the manager of the mistake hotel, arrangements were made for a full refund of the mistaken charges. Nicely done on both the part of Reservations.com and the hotels. I am impressed with the professionalism and helpful attitude of your agents. I will be using you again... and be more careful to look at the state in which I am planning to stay.
It wasn't clear to me that I would be paying full price the same day I made my reservation and that it was completely non-refundable. I called customer support and they stonewalled me, and finally said they'd send something to their billing department and that I'd hear back in 7-10 days. The bill comes due before that and I guess I've got nothing else to do beside contest the charge. I won't ever use this site again :/ Couldn't even get past the initial customer service person.
After I mistakenly made a reservation that was non-refundable, I communicated with Reservations. Com that it was a mistake, and, after informing them that, due to serious health issues I would never make a long range reservation unless it was refundable, they graciously refunded my money. I am very appreciative of their swift action in this matter.
I wish I would have checked out these reviews before I used this website. This company uses false information to trick you and lets you pay far more than the official site of the hotels.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS WEBSITE, They don't even deserve a star, CONS

Booked a room at Microtel Casselman thinking I was doing it at the hotel website.
I was redirected to Registrations.com without any warning.
Did the booking, paying with my credit card. Got a confirmation number by email. When we got to the hotel in the evening the front desk sad there was no room reservation on my name.
It took one hour to get things straightened out between the hotel and Registrations.com.
On the top of that got charged $19.00 booking fee.
Scammers!
This company is as shady as it comes. It is affiliated with Priceline, so I would advice avoiding any dealings with either. I booked a trip thinking I was on the hotel website directly. As soon as I realized it wasn't, i called immediately to cancel. Was told by the rep in a cold, uncaring manner, that nothing could be done and I would have to pay regardless. I called within minutes of making the reservation! Do NOT deal with these companies! I am out 300.00 for a trip I did not even go on! I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and am going through them now. They assured me that my trying to cancel immediately upon making the reservation and not being able to cancel, is certainly worth looking into these companies closer. They assured me they will be getting involved. I encourage everyone else with similar issues to please contact the BBB. This is wrong on so many levels. I am going to make it my mission to write bad reviews on every website against these companies as well as telling everyone I can just how shady of an operation these companies are.
This company DOES NOT deserve 1 star, but there is a price for everything isn't there? Planning our Anniversary weekend and we chose a hotel near the venue we were wanting to see music at. Unbenonced to us... this is a 3rd party company PRETENDING to be the actual business you are trying to contact. They add fees and hang up on you REPEATEDLY when you try to hold them accountable, call them on their BS and demand your situation be rectified. I am red penning you in more places than here, bet your bottom dollar on it! SHAME ON YOU! Your company RUINED what should have been a pampered weekend of extravagance.
I stayed in an apartment that was supposed to have a pool - the pool was not useable for the length of the stay and I could not get any help from Reservations.com or the owner of the apartment. The apartment is: NEW WONDERFUL APART WITH POOL, Calle 11 Apart 1-A, Santiago de los Caballeros *******
DO NOT RENT THIS apartment!
Appeared to be the actual hotel when reservations were made! Then attempted to adjust reservation by one day and the woman (who could barely speak English) told me the reservations were "non-adjustable & non-refundable" - meaning I will be charged the total amount and have to re-reserve another room! WHAT A RIP OFF! The woman I spoke with (after asking for an extensive amount of information to confirm who I was) - was the most UNHELPFUL person I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY!
I took my employees out for a night out on the town. Rather than have them drive home I booked them a room at a downtown Milwaukee hotel. They should up within 2 hours of booking the room and the hotel did not have the room reservation. We had confirmation emails and everything from reservations.com and still the hotel could not bring up the reservation. I contacted reservations.com and they are unable to process my request for refund because... We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide you with a refund at this time due to the unique policy you agreed to upon booking, which can be found in your confirmation email". I am now on the phone trying to get my $300 refund for the 2nd time and we are approaching 44 minutes as I type this... STAY AWAY FROM USING THIS SERVICE.
When I made my reservations back in September I thought I was talking directly with Hampton Inn in Michigan and somehow was rolled over to reservations.com which of course says that they are offering the lowest prices available and when I had my stay I was actually over charged for one night because when checking out my actual bill was only $141 and change when reservations.com had billed me a hundred and $80 and change plus their 19.99 handling fee which made me pay a total of $200.28 to them when I made my reservation. They, of course, say that they are offering the lowest prices available. I'm going around and round with them here today for the last 4 hours trying to get some kind of adjustment to no avail as they insist that properties sometimes run specials of which they have no access. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE RESERVATIONS.COM AS THEY MISREPRESENT LOWEST PRICING, and will not make any adjustments even when you can prove they have overcharged you!
When I made a reservation with a Hilton Hotel, I thought I was talking to the Hilton agent. Not once did the person on the other end say they were reservations.com. I made a reservation. I though it strange that they would take the full amount of my reservation without checking into the hotel. When I hung up the phone i immediately realized I had made a mistake. I called the hotel I thought I was speaking with and they said i had no reservation in my name.
I called back reservations.com (within like, five mins) and was told my charges were non refundable. $517! I told them at no time was I told I was talking with reservations.com and not the Hilton. They said, tough. We have a non refund policy. Remember... I had only made the reservation five minutes earlier. Plus, I had no reservation at the Hotel.
When I got to the hotel i gave them the reservation number that reservations.com had given me. It meant nothing to the hotel and I had no reservation. I was actually at the hotel that reservations.com told me about. I spoke with the Manger and they said they had no reservation under my name or the reservation number provided. In fact, all Hilton reservation numbers begin with "3" mine began with "9".
So, I paid for my room. When I checked out I again checked to make sure there was no reservation through reservations.com. There was not.
I took the Managers name. I called my bank and they spoke with reservations.com and were also told they had a non refund policy and there was nothing they could do. So, I paid reservations.com $517 for my hotel room. I never got it. I then paid the hotel for the room, another $517.
I spoke with reservations.com again and they said I would not be getting a refund. So, where was my reservation and what was the reservation number I had? They said they didn't know.
This so called company is nothing more than a shady, rip off merchant and if there was another way for me to destroy them I would.
DO NOT USE THEM> IF YOU DO, BE PREPARED TO GET RIPPED OFF>
I thought I was booking direct with the hotel but somehow was routed to Reservations.com. When I asked if I had called the actual hotel property, the reservations.com representative said that yes I had called the hotel but they were busy so the call was forwarded to them at central reservations. That was the first lie. Next they quoted me the best rack rate of $159.20 + $33.79 tax. When I got to the hotel for check-in they told me that I had not contacted them directly and the rack rate was only $135.00 + tax. Upon checking my credit card statement, there was an additional charge of $19.99 that was never disclosed to me. I called Reservations.com and they said that it was a service fee. I also never received a receipt and the hotel couldn't provide one as I didn't book direct with them (as I thought... and was told that I had). As the majority of reviews state, this company is a scam and a criminal enterprise... BEWARE!
Charged me 40$ extra. I kept asking where they the hotel site cause I didn't want to deal with 3rd party mess. Instead I was given the run around leading me to believe they were with Fairfield Inn. My bill went from $134 to 154 then a extra charge of 17.99. Grand total of $173... They jack into the system so you think you're on the hotel site. THIEVES
They charged me a service fee of 19.99 just to book the hotel... I didn't realize I wasn't on the hotel's website and I didn't know they had a fee until the transaction was done... of course non refundable... screw these scam websites... google shouldn't allow them to be on the search for the hotel I'm staying at.
They gave me the hard sell when I called to cancel my reservation. They would not simply believe me when I said I am sure I want to cancel it. I had to repeat myself over and over again: Cancel It. They read the address of the place to me, the description of the room, ridiculous, like, who cares? I really am sorry I randomly selected this site and feel like I may not even get my money back.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at [email protected] so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
