I called to cancel because I was booked at a sketchy motel that not safe and I refused to stay. It was also not the hotel I requested but I was assured that it was within walking distance and was very similar. It was not! I have gotten the run around from multiple people and have been told someone was going to call me 3 different times and they haven't, now they are refusing my refund because "the motel" refused it but I paid them not the motel. Worst customer service ever and I will be calling everyday until my money is returned. This is a scam.
I used ReservationCounter to book a Sonesta room recently. They charged my card for the full reservation. I needed to cancel 24 hours later which it said I was allowed to do. They only refunded a part of the charge and still owe me $200 of the refund. Despite multiple calls nothing has happened and the call center you reach is in a foreign country and does not appear to be competent. Each time they say they will email within a few days for resolution and each after literally an hour wait nothing happens. Essentially, ReservationCounter has stolen $200 from me. This company is a scam.

You may be thinking you are booking from the hotel site when in fact you get this third party. Finding out almost 2 days in advance is not early enough to get a refund. You just spent more money than if you had booked directly with the hotel. If you are dialing a local number, you are probably safe!

These people are allegedly 3rd party vendors for the Hyatt. We double booked at the same hotel and tried to cancel our reservations 48 hours later but they would not provide a refund. They said you only get a refund if you cancel within 24 hours of the booking. The Hyatt told them to cancel but they refused. DO NOT USE THEM!

This company represented themselves as Hilton to me I to me I even went to ask them how many rewards I had and they said they couldn't pull it up at the time but asked the front desk when I get there.
They have AUS address but a 3rd party call center on a offshore.
Basically I called them I went to the Hilton site they had a pop up number so I hit the pop up number thinking I'm getting a Hilton representative they "d me $240 for the night the next morning I had next morning I had charges in the amount of $400 there was booking fees and extra taxes and charges and holding fees.
This is a total scam they need to disclose that there are 3rd party booking and they need to disclose all of the hidden fees the booking fees the $50 taxes
Plus they changed room rates on me. I was quoted 240$ not $348 that's a big difference.
And when you book on the phone there's no way to to actually know what you're being charged unlike when you're at the store and you can see it on the cash register.

I recently booked with Reservation Counter for a work conference. I, unfortunately, got COVID and had to stay home. I went ahead and called the hotel and they told me no worries they would 100% refund me but since I booked through Reservation Counter I would need to work through them. Mind you this was in May. And it is now almost August. Reservation Counter would not refund any of my money unless I provided my full medical history and treatment plan to approve the refund. They told me an "At Home" test would not work and that I needed to be fully admitted into the hospital/ER for them to even consider receiving a refund. I am currently fighting this with my CC company and have reached out to the better business bureau as well. As you can see the better business bureau does not approve of them. I would 100% not use this company. I work for a very large healthcare company and have let my company know not to use them and they will be taken off our list of vendors to reach out to. They have horrible customer service and do not care about your wellbeing. Please be aware of this company as they are a HORRIBLE third-party service!

I made a reservation through ReservationCounter.com in Oct 2021 and almost immediately needed to cancel. They have not refund my money. Nor are they responding to emails from myself, and the hotel chain involved (who authorized the refund).

I'd give them zero stars if I could. They repeatedly told me that I made the reservation through them, I(the customer) has to got to the hotel, get the name of the person I talked, cancel the reservation in person, then call Reservation Counter back with all the info I gathered so they could cancel the reservation. They also told me that there's a no refund policy. It's 2022, and to treat people that way is a joke. I told them that if the charge appears on my credit card, I will definitely contest it. I hope a lot of people considering ReservationCounter.com reads this.

These people are horrible. I made a mistake in my booking and they refused to reverse the charges no matter what. Even though I called 2 minutes after booking. Booked with them for wedding. When we arrived at the hotel they had no record of reservation even though I had reservation confirmation from Reservation Counter. Called them from the hotel lobby and they indicated they would "look into it and call me back". Never got a call back and almost missed the wedding - ended up paying for another room. Contacted Reservation Counter for a refund on the room I never got from them - they said "They received my request and are contacting the hotel for resolution and will get back to me as soon as possible". Never got back to me. Contacted them numerous times but no responses over many weeks. Filed complaint with BBB but still trying to get my $150+ dollars back from them. Expensive lesson - buyer be ware.

They billed my bank before I gave them approval. This is a very grey operation. I will NEVER use these guys and want to warn anyone else, that they are crooks! I am reporting them to The BBB.

The company makes it look like you're on the hotel company's site and not on a third party site. We booked and noticed within 2 minutes that they booked our reservation wrong, we couldn't edit it, so we canceled it. They charged us $1,000 for "their service" for canceling and I had to contact the hotel and they didn't even receive a reservation from the company. It's a fraud company. Our credit card company told us that this company is one of the top ones they have to freeze accounts from. Do not use!

I clicked on a link to try to reach a holiday inn, bc I was extremely tired and driving became unsafe, and I wanted to crash somewhere before heading home. What I thought was booking for the Holiday Inn turned out to be this site. I was told there was a room available at the Holiday Inn Lodge. I specifically remember this, because Lodge sounded off, but as I said, I was extremely tired. The room was 59, but I was charged a total of 92, with fees, etc added in. At that point I did not care and so I headed to the place. It was actually the Holiday Lodge, a seedy, very dirty hotel. I thought I would give it a try anyway, but there were several men outside, my room had all kinds of dead bugs in it, the room was musty and hot and reeled of cigarette smoke. I had equipment in my car, and I felt unsafe as a woman traveling alone. Of course the booking was non-refundable. I went through Expedia and found a room with fees for 64 that wasn't fancy, but was clean and safe. I hightailed it there as fast as I could.
This booking site takes advantage of people by fast tracking them through the process without explaining anything. A total waste of money. I just wanted a stay at The Holiday Inn!

This has been the worst booking experience ever! I rarely, if ever write, reviews, but this was so terrible that I feel compelled to make sure others are aware before trying to book using this website. I booked two hotel rooms, and after something unexpected came up, I tried to cancelling the reservation the same morning I booked it. I was told multiple times by customer service that they could not cancel by reoom reservations and therefore could not refund me any of the expenses. After learning this, I took time off work to make it to my reservation only to find out that one of my room reservations had in fact been cancelled and the second room, which was booked for a king size bed was down graded to a twin bed! When I called customer service I was told there was absolutely no way to reimburse me for the room they cancelled and that I would not get compensated for the difference in the second room. I asked if they could at least assist me in paying for the room I had actually reserved, not the single bed room that was given to me, they said there was nothing they could do! I was absolutely shocked. The customer service representatives told me repeatedly that the rooms I had booked had no been canceled, and based on those representations, i made significant changes to my schedule to make it to my reservation on time, only to find that one room had been cancelled and the other was not what I requested. Even under these circumstances, this company did nothing to try to mitigate the harm to me and my family. I submitted an online complain and refund request, which they said they would respond to in 7 days, and I received a cursory boilerplate one sentence response. I will never book through this company again. Absolutely terrible customer service.

I was looking up the actual hotel and they sent me to this booking agency by the name of Reservation counter and I booked a room with them and all I was was wanting a motel with a pool well the woman told me they had a pool so I went ahead and paid for the room. When I get there to check in I realize there pool was down so I told them I wanted refundand that I was going to another motel that had a pool well they told me that my card hasn't been charged well I left and a hour or so later I went and looked and realized they did charge my account and now they don't want to refund my money. I've called the hotel and the booking agency and neither one of them want to give me my money bk and I wasn't there 10 mins not to mention I was only there to enjoy the pool and when I get there they don't have a pool and they think I'm supposed to let them take $62.00 out of my account when I was clearly not satisfied! If there was a pool it would not have been a problem but I don't think it's right for me to have to pay when I'm not a satisfied customer and I didn't even stay there and there very rude and very unprofessional when dealing with customers I will do everything I can to make sure they don't rip nobody else off I will be contacting BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! I will never use them ever again and I'll be sure to tell others as well! Ricky little! *******

When I asked if it was my total amount he told me it was but then was charged $24 more than supposed to be plus another $14.99 their fee which was never mentioned and when I called they said they would have a supervisor contact me and that never happened. Could of booked it thru Expedia or any of them for almost $50 cheaper! Wont make this mistake again!

Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
