Don't do buisness with this company. They will lock you into a 3 year service contract and then raise rates every year. When you want to cancel they charge you 6 months worth of service you cancel. Stay away from them find a cheaper better local company.
They might show up when they are supposed to but don't hold your breath. If they spill trash out on the ground they leave it there. Watched one driver use the pickup arm to smack the can sideways so hard it came within 2 inches of hitting my brother's truck. Driver too damn lazy to get out to see they had already been emptied an hour earlier from a different truck. They hire some damn dumb drivers. Obviously piss poor communication. They absolutely suck. Never would recommend this company. Only plus is my pickup is included in my rent. Or else they'd be gone.

Called to cancel account. They tried to give me a cheaper rate but i told them i was in bad health and i couldnt afford the rates. The agent told me he would take care of it. Its been 2 months and the dumpster is still here. I got a bill for 600.00 dollars and it just keeps going up. I am retired and on fixed income. I guess i will spend my last days in jail. Because i cant afford to pay the bill. Dont trust this company. RUN
Raised business rates 25 percent I told them I want to cancel they stalled and offered me a better rate but with only 1 portion of bill rate controlled I switched to another provider and tried to cancel They didnt get back to me for 3 days and then told me I have to give them 60 day written notice. They raised their rates 25% and I cant cancel immediately seem like crooks to me
I have spent hours calling and complaining about the garbage service at my business. There have been numerous tomes where the truck drivers have not picked up our dumpster.
Sometimes it has been because the homeless has turned our dumpster over or simply made a mess and scattered the garbage. As a small business, we are mostly ignored and our services are not performed as paid for. Recently, we have fabricated steel paddle locks hasps on the dumpster and provided our own locks. We buy the locks 4 at a time because the dumpster divers break a lock every other week.
Mind you, Republic did nothing but promise us a "site review" over and over without that ever happening.
I have spent hours on hold on the phone and have had to take our business garbage home to use our Pacific Sanitation service. The difference between the 2 garbage companies is night and day. I believe it is wrong that we are forced to do business with Republic Services and the monopoly they hold on us in Salem, Oregon.
Once again on Thursday, January 12,2023, the drivers didn't pick up our 1-yard dumpster. We didn't notice until tonight, Saturday 21,2023, when we needed to take out our garbage from our two buildings.
The driver and their dispatch didn't inform us.
So, we are stuck this weekend with a dumpster crammed full.
Republic Services is a horrible company with horrible customer service and does not do the services they are paid for yet we are forced to do business with them. I wonder who is getting the kickback for arranging that?
You should check him out he is on meth everyday he hides pee do he can pass a drug test and he hides the stuff in his sock in boot. Do what you want with this just trying to let you know!
Not very happy with republic today. Busted my can wide open top to bottom. Spent 20 minutes picking up trash out of ditch and driveway. And can was put 25 ft away from were I set it. Mo rons..
They are always late with pick up, they lie about missed pick up & when you call to cancel your service you'll spend hours trying to close your account & they will still want to suck all your money. Horrendous service
Tried 3 times to switch largest trash bins to medium. They kept promising 3 times, but no result...no one even calls back to explain. When we moved in last July, they told us they only have largest bins and to call later to switch. When we called, they said we will be charged for the switch! The worst service we've had!
Worst service ever. Always missing pick ups. Tired of calling or going online to get trash picked up, only to have them come on regular time the next week and still charge me. The customer survey never comes up when you call. Unprofessional service. Just had to change.
Run far away from this company! They are overpriced and even when you cancel they charge you a fee of $56 to pick up the trash can so they can screw you over one last time! Buyer beware!
I looked at the app for holiday schedule for Christmas, and it said my pickup was a day later than normal. Put the trash out that day and it was never picked up. Checked the app and it showed my pickup date as the normal day. I thought I was going crazy, then when New Years came, it said a day late again, but I put the trash out anyway. They picked it up on the normal date and when I checked the app it now says my normal day. This is bull. If they are going to change it willy nilly the least they could do would be to send out an email or SMS alert. I will say that they miss my recycle pickup quite regularly as well. They are LITERALLY a trash company.
This company is extremely unreliable, and untrustworthy. They constantly have excuses for their lack of service, and I spend an hour a week trying to get credits for missed pick-ups. The staff is rude and unhelpful. They will tell you over and over that they are going to "escalate" the lack of service and NOTHING ever changes. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM - YOU WILL REGRET IT.
10/10 customer service, 1/10 actual service. Over the 3 months we have had Republic, I've called at least 5 times. Missed pickups, astronomical bills that don't make sense. I was quoted "$40 every quarter" and I'm no mathematician but 12 div. 4 is every three months, right? I've received two bills, both at almost $100! They also charge a $38 container delivery fee that no one mentioned. They were NOT transparent with pricing.
Fortunately, all the customer service representatives have been very nice and helpful. I have cancelled my service to find something much more reasonable.
Our trash day was Wednesday, they picked up our can & dumped our trash all over the road. We live on a dead end road, so the truck had to drive back past our house. They left the mess for us to clean up & our trash can was still full. My husband called right after & we were told they would be back by end of day…never happened. I called Thursday & was told they would pick up by end of day…never happened. I called Friday & expressed my frustration & they said it could be due to bad weather. It's been sunny all week & the road is dry. What bad weather? They told me it would be picked up by noon. I called at 1:00 & they said it would be picked up by end of day…never happened! So we are being forced to pay for a service by the city we live in & not provided that service!
Two weeks previous to my home renovation I filled out "all necessary documents " which was required before my deposit of $500 dollars was taken out of my account and dumpster was scheduled to be delivered.
- The day before my scheduled dumpster delivery a customer service agent called and said there was one extra document I needed to sign and she would send it over. It was never sent which caused my dumpster to be delivered two days late and two days of wasted time trying to track down any one who knew what form needed to be sent. A few customer service people I spoke with insisted the dumpster was delivered to my house and was on time!
- The money was immediately taken out though!
- The document not being sent was a mistake on their part!
- The two day delay cost me money and time!
The company has zero accountability and suggested that the mix up was MY fault!
Had my trash missed because I got updated Tuesday 11am day of pick up that Holidays does not effect trash pick up schedule when my pick up time is 7-8am Tuesday. Numerous neighbors down my block trash is still out too because of the delay in "update". Will be changing to a different trash pick up service ASAP. Highly not recommended for anyone out there!

Quarterly bill went to $75 to $109, fuel charge they said, called to cancel, oh we can wavier that. I said ok next quarter comes along fuel charge went up now $37 for the quarter. I called to cancel, oh we can wavier that I said no I want to cancel. Cost me $43 to cancel the service. They stated that was for them to come pick up the container which had to be empty. I asked what I was supposed to do with the garbage collected for the last week of my paid service. They gave me directions to the dump. Unbelievable
Answer: Only company that offered recycling in our area but obviously an over priced scam since both bins were emptied into same truck.
Answer: My guess is money laundering. I don't know what's in those Republic trucks I see driving around, but it sure isn't garbage! Also, they just don't care.
