In the past 2-3 yrs, this company has declined with missed pick ups/ late pickups and leaving the cans sitting a little in our narrow streets. I have recently 'tried' to cancel--before the next quarter period of pickups. I talked to about 4 people in all (getting them on the phone is a huge pain), starting with the first 'customer service' person who said she could not help me w/the billing, but would put through the cancellation for the end of that month. I started getting robo/collecitons calls, so called and eventually got to (should have been billing) a rude 'sales' dept person, who said she would put through the cancellation now--it was still before the end of the month, and would pick up the container 1 wk later on my regular p/u day and to put the can out for them. I put the EMPTY can 2/3 of the way UP my driveway so the regular trash people would know not to pick up. It was p/u'd later that day which was into the next quarter period.
I was told the p/u can would be $30---then I get an inv for $33 PLUS the next quarter/3 months for trash pick up. It looks like nothing was cancelled---I cancelled per their own wesite so as not to incur the next quarters billing--but am still getting robo/collection calls. FYI: The past year of trying to pay by phone automated system has been a joke---they kept showing I owed a little bit, a little bit there and I don't know why.
Per their own website: so your cancellation will be effective as of the last day of the month in which you cancel. For example, if you cancel service on March 15, your operating subsidiary will process your cancellation to be effective on March 30, which is also when they will remove your waste container(s)
I cancelled with 2 different people BEFORE the next quarter period. I don't know what else I could do to get away from this company! Except for picking up the can, they have not addressed ANY of my other concerns. I have been using their service for many years, and this is how they CHOOSE to treat a senior citizen? I am now taking my own trash out the county location which is very simple and close to home---why didn't I do this years ago (or always) since my taxes are paying for it whether I want it or not.

Terrible company! They went 2 months without picking up my yard waste. Today they picked up 3 containers and left the other 2. They left a note saying containers had to be less than 50 pounds. The one was 47 pounds and the other was 56 pounds because it poured rain after I put them out. Last week they knocked my entire garbage container over in the ditch and left it. I picked it up and now it's been sitting around for 2 weeks. I would never use this company if the township didn't charge me for their services in my taxes.

Contacted the City of Arvada Waste Hauling line which immediately transfers you to Republic Services. Requested service to begin 8/27/2021. The trash container was supposed to be delivered on 8/18/2021, and but 8/23/2021 the delivery of the container was still pending in Republic's system. After 5 phone calls, the container was delivered 8/25/2021. Trash pick up was set for 8/27/20. Republic picked up all the trash on our block, except mine. Tried to flag down the driver & was simply ignored. Called Republic & they stated they would turn the driver around, as my pick up was on their schedule. Customer Service said it could be Monday 8/30/2021 before the trash gets picked up if the driver would not come back today. Customer Service with Republic is great at the "I'm sorrys" but can't get the job done. If I ran my business this way, I would have been out of business years ago. Republic Services doesn't care about their customers and meeting the commitments they make, and worse yet, the City of Arvada doesn't care either.

How is a company like this still in business. They claim they don't have enough drivers to pick up trash. WTF! I pay my bill and get terrible service
Community meeting next month and we'll se if we should change service.

Overpriced!

I have been with them for 2 years within that time the price has kept going up. I found another company that charges half the price. When I called them to cancel service, they tacked on a 36.00 fee to pick up there garbage can! That's just ridiculous! My advice to others find someone else!

The last few months, sometimes it would be 2 weeks before they picked up. When we cancelled they charged us $30 to come get container. It was $15 to get container in the first place. Would not recommend!

Use any other possible garbage collection service. They are absolutely incapable of:
1. Delivering a trash container at the beginning of a contract (took 4 weeks)
2. Producing an accurate bill that reflects service agreement (8+ weeks)
3. Picking up a trash container after termination of service agreement (4 weeks)
3. Cancelling a service contract (ongoing)

Horrible company. We are being punished with huge fees for daring to move and cancel services for our small dumpster. We've had Republic for almost 16 years. They let me cancel on the phone least weekend and I paid up the last bill. They told me dumpster would be removed. Then 10 days later I get an email claiming they tried to call (lie) and demanding a certified letter stating we are canceling. And they want SIX MONTHS of payments for nothing. And the new owners now have a lovely dumpster they don't want to decorate their driveway. Republic must be desperate to extort money from moving customers. Run.

Our city contracts with Republic Services for refuse collection. Their drivers occasionally neglect to pick up our garbage. They have no interest in correcting their mistake probably because they have a monopoly. Incredibly frustrating experience dealing with these guys. Avoid them if possible.

Worst company ever

Very hard to reach.
It takes the agent over 15 minutes to open the reference file and follow up the case.
If frustrated, they hang up.
The manager promises to call the dispatch and return my call with in 30 minutes, but they never call back.
After 5 follow up calls, the agent says the delay is because we have not prepaid for the services, while the bill was prepaid few days prior to the delivery date.
I schedule the crew at the job site, but Republic Services does not deliver. I have already paid the wages of five people for two days in a row and the roll off is not delivered yet.
No wonder the feed back reviews of this company is all 1 out of 5.

These idiots cannot do simple math. They cashed 1 year worth of payments from me all while applying to someone else's account. I continue to get past due notices, as well as they have suspended my service multiple times. I have contacted them numerous times over the past 8 months, gave them check number of where they cashed them (several times to several different people). Every time, every person I speak with tells me they are straightening it out. Yet I'm still here making the same call 8 months later. They still cannot figure it out. I'm canceling service and finding someone that knows what they are doing. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, HANDS DOWN!

Completely incompetent

I cancelled my service almost 3 week's ago because of poor service. Missed pickups, charging you for recyclables and not once did they ever pickup my recyclables. Still haven't received my refund and was told it takes 7 to 10 business day's. Called today and now I'm being told it takes 6 to 7 week's to get my refund. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!

Miss pickup

Bad service. My trash was not pick up. I call to consequently two scheduled a pickup and no driver show up. The trash has been on the drive way for 6days. One star is even over rating

Garbage

Here we go again, last week they didn't pick up garbage, a few days later.so this week, went down one side of road, pick up their garbage, mine is still out there. This has been and issues. Poor service, not reliable. Nothing seem to get fix.the company wants their money, but this is the kind of service, I have to pay for. Discussed.

Worst service ever

Missing pick ups three times in a row! Before that they installed organic and recycle bins and charging me 150$ for two and didn't pick it up for 5 month! After I called to ask why my rates are so high they refused to credit me for 5 month. Ending is best, I called to cancel service and they said my account representative will give me a call back, and guess what HE DIDN'T CALL ME FOR 3 WEEEKS! I CAN'T CANCEL SERVICE!

I had been a customer for as long as I can remenber and paid my last quartly bill of $218 on May 24,2021. Company only made 2 pickups in June. After skipping 3 of the first 5 pickups I was told they "did not have enough drivers". I cancelled after the first July pickup was again missed on either the 4th or 5th of July. I called the following Monday July 7th to cancel. They originally would not refund the $. Eventually, they agreed to refund only approx. $70 saying I could not cancel until the end of July. After more calls to supervisors etc., they agreed to the refund and I received the full amount back in my bank account. I was satisfied that they had made it right. Last week I received a check for $70, the original amount they wanted to refund. (I am not cashing it) I received a phone call stating the refund was a mistake and I must pay them the $218. I absulutely will not pay this as only 2 pickups were made from the end of May. They still have not scheduled picked up of their trash recepticle after numerous requests. It really is a shame, although they were always the must expensive service by far, in the past they were reliable so I was OK with that. If I continue to be harassed, I will report them and have the better business bureau take care of this.
