Republic is the absolute worst! They are far from consistent, and very rude. After not picking up my trash ( yes, bill is always paid) I called. First thing asked, was about my account, after saying yes my bill was current, I was told that maybe they drove past to far to go back. Hello... I live in a cul-de-sac. With homes all around us as well as just before the circle. Then was told they would be back the next day by 3 pm, never showed up, pickup day came back around and when they finally showed the guy was rude to me running his mouth and left my can literary in the middle of the road! Also I have had to purchase new garbage can because they have destroyed my cans, including the one just purchased 3 months ago. I have had enough and going to a different collection company! Stay away from this company!
The person picking up the trash did not even notice the lock bar was malfunctioning, and wasn't allowing the trash to empty out. He would just put the container back down with all the trash hanging out. Then our prices keep increasing, yet they're telling me I'm in a contract. So I requested a copy of the contract over 3 weeks ago. NOTHING. The agent hasn't even reached out. Then they brought another container, but it doesn't have a lock bar, so guess what happens... illegal dumping. They suck. I've had several other issues with this company over the last few years. They are not good, nor are they even the cheapest.
Very bad waste company. Billing is bad and jacked up. They charge a fee for canceling. Then they come get the dumpster and don't take trash they dump on your property. Never again. Don't get this service.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use this company. Your garbage will not be picked up, customer service will not help with the problem and there is absolutely nothing you can do. I cannot stress enough the amount of phone calls you will make and the run around you will receive. Whatever price they offer will not be worth the aggravation, you may as well not have any trash service… that is what their service is equivalent to.
Republic services is such a great company! They accommodate any time I call. And the company calls customers to inform of weather delays, etc! Respectful of property, etc! Thank you Republic!
They just keep raising their prices and do not cancel as requested immediately.
They charge you $50.00 to pick up their container if you cancel service.

Canceling my service with Republic after just a few months… This is the most inept company I have ever worked with, which is saying a lot. If you only need regular trash and recycling they are OK, but if you need anything else outside of those normal things done, do not use this company.
I called to add on an additional pick up of some yard trimming bags and agreed to the additional cost. Here we are over a month later and I have had to take care of the bags on my own and the additional charge for lawn trimming pick up was still on my bill. This was after calling more than 10 times over the course of 3-4 weeks and each time being told it would be taken care of that day or the following day. I spoke with managers who did not bother to call me back or update me. So these bags were just sitting out of my house for over a month making me look like a total idiot to my neighbors lol.
Each time I called I asked if the charges were going to be on the bill since the bags were never picked up. No one could ever answer or confirmed that would not be on the new bill. Once that charge appeared on my newest bill I knew I had to cut ties. I scheduled the end of service and bin pick up… When that day came they only picked up the recycling bin. I called to ask what happened, Got the same "What is a good contact number that we can follow up with" with no follow up. Wonder how long it will take them to pick up their trash bin. I have no idea how this company is still running.
If I could rate lower, I would. I scheduled a special pick-up for one item. On the day of pick-up, they said I was never scheduled. I spent 45 minutes on the phone scheduling it. Ended up paying more with another company.
Your service is horrible. We were promised excellent service. The first thing your company does is place the container smack down in the middle of a valuable parking spot. We call to complain and we were told LAST MONTH you would have the drivers move back (about 10 feet) out of the parking spot on the next pick up. It doesn't happen;
We call again and get the same empty promise that you will have the driver move the container back so we get our parking spot again.
Nothing happens.
We call again and this time for sure really the driver is going to move it back, I was even told that they may come that day (2 weeks ago) to move back.
More calls, more calls repeating the same thing. Customer service reps, supervisors promise to call us back with time the container is going to be moved back 10 ft. Promises of phone calls that do not happen. We have to call day after day.
We had a huge event yesterday, a huge charitable event for victims of the Marshall Fire. We needed the parking spot. No return calls and no container moved.
Today we called several times and this time for the 1st time a supervisor called back and said at 5:30 PM (Friday night, good grief, this should have been done 2 MONDAY's ago when first called) doesn't matter because once again Republic Services broke their promise and the container is still sitting in the middle of a parking lot. So now all weekend when we need the parking spot the most.
I want out of any contract and will gladly pay your competitors for service. They at least know the container does NOT go in the middle of parking spot.
I want to know terms of any contract and I want out of the contract, Republic Service has broken their end of any contract.

I have had an account with Republic Services for many years and had no trouble until December 2021. We have 2 trash cans and one recycle can and either none are dumped, 2 or dumped and once all three. I have called Customer Service at least a dozen times and cannot get this resolved. I am really at a loss what to do. I am sure paying my bill to them in this fashion would not be tolerated!
They are horrible. We have had several times they missed pickup AND their prices are 75% higher than others. Then they argued with me on the phone and tried to compare themselves to a cell phone company when i wanted to cancel them.
They keep charging us even though we ended service with them and they have picked up our garbage can.
Hello. I am so frustrated with your company. I had ANOTHER fee placed on my account that I was NOT made aware of, and you all are absolutely no help. I canceled you all, but after doing so, called BACK the same day to see if you all would lower my payment. Your customer service nicely did, and I paid my outrageous bill at that time to get it reinstated, but I was never told about a reinstatement fee. I am so frustrated by your business and your service. Who can I talk to about this? Thank you.
I have never had issues with garbage company. When they miss a pick up they come right back and get it done by next day. My pick up was missed on Wednesday I called them at 3 and they said oh they have till 6:00 PM oh ok and no one pick it up and all my neighbors had theirs picked up. Of course they are not open at 6:00 so now I call on Thursday morning they said we will pick it up on Friday. No pick up again on Friday so I called them at 2:30 PM again they say they have till 6:00 PM as I am bringing it up they say put it back but will set up another pick up on Monday. Of course they are not there at 6:00 PM so I bring it back up. Then I bring it down on Sunday night but this time I call them on Monday morning to make sure it gets picked up. Person tells me right away I will get them to pick it up right away. Again nothing at 2:30 PM. I start bringing it up and call them again and say I am done. She insist have me keep it till 6 again, again no one came and got it. So now got to go back and get it. Everyone can make a mistake but don't keep telling me you going to pick it up and having me bring it down 5 time and nothing
Should we have taken into consideration all the reviews we read 4 years ago, we won't be in the situation we have been in. Republic services is by far the worst garbage companies we have ever seen. Missing pickups gouging prices every month, we end up canceling their services. To remove their container, they charge us 3x the normal price, which is supposed to be 30 dollars. They have the most arrogant customer service representatives. Just stay away from this company. They are horrible.
This company is a joke. Constant missed pickups. Customer service lies repeatedly just to appease you and get you off the phone. Two weeks in a row of missed pickups and the scheduled missed pickups were missed also. Another weekend of trash piling up outside for the wild animals to shred and have blown all over the neighborhood. To top it off they never offer credit for accumulated missed pickups. Truck is running the next road over on schedule so it isn't a truck issue or lack of employees issue. Plain and simple, just bad business.
This company is full of deceit. They miss pickup every week and lie about correcting the issue. I've called almost every week for the past six months. Customer service sounds dry and uninterested when you call. This is so unprofessional and very disgusting. I'm never recommending this company to anyone.
I used them for about 3 years but I had to stop. The price more than doubled during this time.
I called to cancel and they said that they would drop the price by half for a year if I stayed. I agreed. That change was not reflected on the account online. I called again and they told me to give it a couple of days. It did not change. Called again, and you know where this is going, same thing again. The third time that I called they said now that I had to pay that large amount and they were going to give me a credit! It's obvious that it is a lie and of course I was not going to give me a penny more. I asked them to cancel and first they said that the first two weeks of the following month were still included and then changed their mind and said they were not included. When I asked them to clarify they said that I was not understanding. The woman even shooshed me! I have worked in customer service for a long time and I know what a headache it can be, so I always try to be really nice. If you choose this company, you will have a hard time remaining nice to this them, and be prepared to pay about a lot more in each bill. They are very rude and just keep insisting that you are the one who doesn't understand and will say that they did not contradict themselves. Awful company!

Two weeks ago on 1/12/2022 my daughter's car got hit with a tarp that had a rod attached that came off of a Republic Garbage Truck. It bent her windshield wiper arm and it caused paint chips on the hood and the passenger side door. We have called their customer call center 7 times and everytime they give us another case number and tell us to wait so many days from their insurance and no one has ever gotten back to us. We are very fortunate that my daughter wasn't harmed, but now her car has damage that Republic is ignoring.
Answer: Only company that offered recycling in our area but obviously an over priced scam since both bins were emptied into same truck.
Answer: My guess is money laundering. I don't know what's in those Republic trucks I see driving around, but it sure isn't garbage! Also, they just don't care.
