Extremely disappointed in this company. They have picked up our trash 1 out of 6 times since the beginning of May. We have called several times, they reassured us that someone would be there that evening or at the latest the next day. That didn't happen. Called multiple times and was given the same response. Someone finally came today and we have 3 trash cans full of maggots. When I called to ask about pick up on Monday and to let her know about the maggots, she laughed and told me to buy bleach! Also, In all of the times of missed pick ups, there were never any calls letting us know they wouldn't be there, or that they were experiencing problems! Extremely, extremely, disappointed!
Why is the service so in consistent? Have notified on multiple occasions the inconsistenting of pickup.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. They will charge you $92 for your can to be picked up. That is a ridiculous price! And they will slowly raise your prices. I was paying 75%more after 3 years and never notified me just kept increasing prices.
Republic Services miss my home trash, recycle, and yard waste pickup OFTEN. Frequently when I call I am on hold over 25 minutes and I must hang up and go back to work. Then I must hold my items for another week. Last summer I was missed 6 weeks in a row. I did get through customer service a couple of times and I was told to leave it out and I would be picked up the next day. Only 1 time out of the 6 did that happen. I bet if I only paid my bill one- sixth of the time that would be addressed.
5 weeks no recycling pickup. 3 weeks no trash pickup. These guys are absolutely infuriating. They constantly cancel pickup, and are often DAYS late. My bins are always at the end of my driveway. I live in central Massachusetts outside Worcester. I'm dumping this company like the herpetic mass that they are. I don't know what's inside the trucks I see driving by (while my trash sits on the side of the road) but it sure the hell isn't trash. I don't often say this, but I absolutely HATE this company. Bye bye.
HORRIBLE! We have almost a MONTHS worth of trash and they still haven't been to our house to pickup. I have called multiple times and no one answers. If they actually HAPPEN to answer/call back, they just schedule a pick up and then it never comes. We will NOT be paying this months bill. Absolutely ridiculous when you pay for a service and you get ZERO SERVICE.
Have had this company for service for over twenty five years, even back when it was locally known as Hatcher's. Having issues with them picking up everyone else's garbage but ours. We always pay our bill, so that is not an issue. Called CS agent Tuesday to report a missed pickup. Was told they would pickup this morning, on Wednesday. Pickup did not happen. Called to complain. Was told the issue was closed out by the driver. Also told our cans were NOT there to be picked up. I informed them that I have a security camera with date and time stamps. I was told it would be escalated to a supervisor. Also, I will need to provide the footage for proof. All this just to get someone to do their job! Meanwhile, flies and possibly maggots to come.

Tried to cancel account on January 7th, called customer service, been asked all of the information as account number, name, email address, phone number. After confirm every detail, if you think your service should been cancelled, then I told you it's a joke, NO WAY. I keep calling about 5 months, no one in the phone call can deal with this, I called more than 100 times, every time been told someone would call me to deal with this. No, no one would call you, but still charged from your account every month. Then you call back, same circulate. Until now it's been more than 5 months, I've been charged 5 months more, still no one can deal with it. Don't use Republic Service for your business, if you don't want to get a lot lot lot trouble in the future...
I just got off the phone changing to a different company. Plus 1/3 of the price... Kimble if you want to know. Republic ALWAYS had an issue with pick up even before Covid. So blaming COVID was NO reason. When I called to complain, no apology. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!
No pickup for garden waste for several weeks. Contacted via phone call and online don't work. Nightmare for standing with this company two months that I paid already. Neighbours are asking about the this service.
For 5 months we have been trying to get our payment, taken in error, back from Republic Services. I am constantly told our check was issued, only to get past due notices, and I ask to have someone contact me, and I never receive a return call. I just spoke with them, again, and again I am told I will get a call back. I guess we wait and see.
I cannot believe Margate will not allow waste management or another waste company to service the city. Somebody has to be sleeping with a top person there because the company has horrible reviews and they live up to those reviews! We have to take our waste in our car to another city so we don't end up getting sick from the trash waste! Absolutely unexplainable! We're paying citizens and we're bringing business to the city of Margate!
We unfortunately had to go with Republic because they toolkit on UGS ( who gave exceptional service). I can count on 1 hand how many times they actually picked up our trash when scheduled on Tuesday. Practically every week we get the delayed pickup call, this week now Friday. I call asking for credit and am rudely told credit is not available. We are on the verge of looking for another company unless Republic starts consistently picking up on time!
Firstly, Im editing the review because I want to give them a 2nd chance to do better. Rebublic services in sunrise Florida contracts with the City of Coconut Creek which is where I live. Republic services has missed some bulk pickup days. Their customer is about a 6.5. First off, they dont call you back when you leave messages. They are very pleasant if you are lucky to get in touch, but sometimes they dont convey problem to management in a timely manner (either that or management ignores the problem) I have spoken with managment and I think they are trying. Time will tell. Also, just so that everyone is aware, this company below may or may not be the same company

Republic doubled my monthly fee over two year. At the same time my kids left the house and I went from 5 to 2 people in the house. The trash has decreased by more than 50% while the cost went up. I have been ripped off. I will let them know and then change services.
Watch these guys closely and every month. They will nearly double your bill very quickly, charge you massive receptacle removal ($30 on a 95 gallon, $215 for a small commercial gondola) when you kick thier asses off your property. Thier drivers are hacks unfriendly, unhelpful... watch and read your contract if you get one. Do not I repeat do not trust this company go elsewhere if at all possible. Customer service is incompetent, account managers quit, new managers don't call back as promised., for months I tried to call to pay my bill and could not get through even when I asked the drivers they said good luck. If you don't watch them closely and open that envelope your surprise will shock you. They will drop you charge you the above or more. Threaten to send you to collection. All because your foolish enough to not to watch them like a hawk. The commercial receptacle removal charge no one told me about they gouged me for is enough to pay the resedential service for 15 months. They nearly doubled my bill for the old commercial deal ( (I didn't see any contract) in roughly over 6 months, stating costs going up... my a**... 60 to 80 %? Increase... I should've learned my lesson and went local mom and pop. Not republic trash cartel... you better watch... fools. I was one! Ps just read thier reviews... worst I've ever seen.
Republic service of fort Collins CO is BS company to work for. They are a multi billion dollar company. Yet they nickel and dime there employees. Make promises and change policies and say it's out of there hands. Offer sign on bonus. Then tell you you'll get half at six months. Then the other at one year. I've been there for 10 months without seeing any of it. They ask for volunteers then make it mandatory. Must deal with dead and rotten animals. No Christmas bonus. Very weak yearly raises. There health benefits are the only reason I'm still there.
We had republic for years with numerous issues. They continuously missed pick up dates. We had to call to report these every other week. They always said it was due to inclement weather. The last time I called about this they gave the same excuse. That day it was sunny and 50 degrees. Just a ridiculously bad and untruthful company. There were many times the lazy drivers would just use the arm to pick up the bin but wouldn't take anything that was outside it even though we were allowed to leave stuff next to the bin. The final straw was they missed the last two pick ups so I called to cancel and they tried to charge me a bin pick up fee and one more monthly fee. Unacceptable. I am currently and will continue to get everyone I see using this company to change companies. There are a couple companies in Greenville that will charge almost half their cost and will do a much better job. F them
Republic refused to service my property I bought because there is an outstanding balance from the previous occupants. Nothing like turning away business because of a previous bad customer!
