Bought a 6 month zipcode, first week got 3 leads and then only received 1 a month until the last month I got 3 more. Seemed fishy, leads would never answer your phone calls, emails, or texts. Got only 2 leads to respond. Entered into a 12 month different zipcode with the understanding that after 6 months I would reevaluate to continue. Got a few leads within the first 2 weeks and then maybe one a month. Same thing happened, only 30% of the leads would respond, of the 30%, only 5% were actually looking. These are not vetted leads like I was told. I had 3 leads trying to find out their old landlords number, a few leads just wanted to know if the house was still for sale, had a few that already had a Real Estate Agent which referring a lead that has already entered into a buyer agreement can get me into legal issues. Realtor.com is a scam, they sell you false leads.
If you want to try them out, go ahead, but buy the cheapest market. What you'll experience will be the same as if you give them a ton of money in a hotter market (zipcode)
We have had 4 realtors estimate the price of our home at $400K. Realtor lists it for 317K on the public view, and 373K on the owner's view. I've asked why the disparity, since it could affect the sale price of my home, and no one responded. Also, the platform crashes constantly and freezes up. Again, customer support is non-existent, so there is no remedy. I would advise against using this shoddy platform. Opt instead for Zillow or Trulia.
Our experience with Joseph Trela from Remax in Pemberton NJ was amazing! He was very accommodating as well as professional. He did a fantastic job with coordinating between us and the seller. I would highly recommend him.
Do NOT waste your time with James "Robert" Waddell in South Carolina. I left a couple messages recently and several in the past regarding some property that is listed with him. He has yet to respond!
If he can't return a call, how could he possible hand a real estate transaction. His incompetence is not only a refection on himself, but National Land Realty as well. He would be fired immediately if he worked for our company. This would have been a cash sale too.
I know there are bigger fish to fry right now...
But I have no idea who else to tell this to, so I'm going to the people with a voice. I am a real estate agent in NJ on lock down, and my husband has been laid off work... literally cutting our income in half right now. As an agent I use a lead generation system that I pay for from realtor.com. I pay over $1200 a month for these leads. Myself, and several other agents have asked to cancel our accounts. We can't show houses and honestly finding a house is not a top priority for most right now. Realtor.com refuses to cancel accounts, they have offered a reduction of 60% to our current contracts, or offer us a buy out by paying them 2 months upfront. That would be almost $2500 for me... their lead system was already bad, they scam you into purchasing these leads to begin with, buyer beware. That is my own fault, but, this is just crazy. I cannot afford to keep paying them. So we have to continue to pay for a service that will not do us any good. I have argued with them, made several phone calls. I just went to the extent to cancel my credit card associated with them, but the card company told me even with a canceled card they will still honor contracts with Realtor.com.
Its not just me, but thousands of agents... I think this needs to get out there so we can get some kind of relief from this. I don't know how we will manage our other bills let alone keep paying for a service I cannot utilize, or a service I don't believe they can actually honor and live up to.
I hope you can help!
Thank you,
Best Regards

Joel Farthing exudes confidence. Our faith in him was not misplaced. He took on the difficult task of selling an old farm and made what seemed an insurmountable task seem easy. In six months it was sold. Joel has an easy and pleasant manor about him that put us at ease.
I recently sold my home in Hiawassee, GA using a realtor named Nichol Land at Better Home and Garden of Blairsville GA. My experience was all negative, both from the realtor and the managing Broker. I lost money because of the realtor and the firm for whom she works. I would not recommend using their services.
If you find a property you're interested in on realtor.com, look for the name of the actual real estate agent in the listing, google their contact information and call them directly. DON'T use the website's inquiry option. If you do, you'll be spammed with aggressive, fast talking website representatives trying to lead you away from the property you're interested in, and toward properties they represent. After I left this same review on consumer.com yesterday, realtor.com blocked me from their site
Never had a correct answer if I could ever get a call back, showed me the worst deals that would make him the most commission, unreliable, short tempered, smelled like he never heard of deodorant, and then called the city to make false claims about my own house when I was selling it after he saw on MLS that I was not using him as an agent for all of the above reasons. This guy is a loser. I wish I had known better but just hope this helps someone else avoid this incompetent fool. He must use friends or fake names to post good reviews about himself because in my experience he is a nightmare.
Paying for a monthly Local Agent Ad and have proof they've changed my ad taking away my phone number, darkening the photo so it's not standing out and taking off my tag line! If I didn't log in every couple months, I wouldn't have noticed but did notice no calls! Unbelievable! SCAM
A year and a half ago I decided to start work with Realtor.com they said that I would have a lot of leads But never happened, when they send you an email the same time they send a lot of Realtors when my contract expired I called to cancel it was never done they said I never canceled I had to do it for another 6 months in which I never received absolutely anything, I must have received in 6 months probably six leads who were useless.
They tie you to a contract without telling you. Be very cautious because even if you cancel your credit card they'll try to ruin your credit.
Realtor.com is a scam. Purchased 12 lead per month, maybe received 3 to 5. After having purchased leads I learned that Realto.com now owns OpCity which I signed up with previously. OpCity will give you leads but will take 30 to 35 % of the commission. This seems to be in conflict with the notion that you are already paying Realto.com for leads. Thus I never receive the 12 per month that I pay for. So basically, now we are paying Realtor.com twice. The automatic renewal program a real stinker. Without any warning (although they claim to send you a email or two which probably goes directly to spam) to renew you into a lead program and take the money out of an account with your credit card on their unremovable file.
All I did was look at a few phones online. A few hours later over 50 agents called or texted inquiring my interest in over 20 properties.
If you just want to look online stay away from this site.
I have been calling ALL week to look at a house for sale. Nobody would answer when I was transferred to an agent nor would they call me back. My husband called too left a message no return call. I got on there again today and all of a sudden the house is pending (it wasn't yesterday) I called to see why I never got a chance to even look at the house after many attempts to and the guy said he would call me back once again no return call. My husband called and was informed it has been sold and when questioned about why we were never able to go look at it or why they never called to let us know the guy who is suppose to be a professional hung up on him. I will never go through them and will let others know how sorry they are!
I should have found another agent, Tuny Hagie did not do a good job as a real estate agent for me. Things started out fine, however, as time progressed I realized Tuny was not looking out for my best interest. I have several specific examples. The home inspector found several electrical outlets had reversed polarity. I requested that this be repaired by the seller. At the final walk through I found an outlet in the den had not been repaired. Tuny told me that we only requested outlets in the upstairs bathroom and kitchen be repaired. I made no such limitations. She would reference a paragraph in the inspectors report and only repair the exact items it identified. A second example; I requested the hand rail on the stairs be tightened. Tuny again referenced the specific wording of the home inspection which stated the hand rail at the bottom of the stairs was loose. Therefore, on my final walk-through I found the handrail at the top of the stairs to still be loose. She stated we only requested the one at the bottom of the stairs to be fixed. A third example; at the final walk-through I found 2 crawl space vents to be unsecured in the front of the house and requested these be fixed. The next day she informed me that she had requested the vents in the back of the house to be repaired (even though there was no issue with those vents). I walked outside the house with her and removed the vent at the front of the house with my fingers and asked her why would she write that the vents at the back of the house needed fixed when the unsecured vents were at the front of the house. She had no answer. A fourth example of my real estate agent not actually working for me was when I found out that the crawl space on the house I was purchasing had flooded and requested that AFS come and evaluate the crawl space. She informed me that I was outside of my inspection period and could not bring AFS onto the property. Beyond these incidents, I had sent her a text message requesting that the house be treated for roaches, that the fireplace be repaired - and somehow neither of these requests made it into the actual request to the seller. I have learned a lesson from Tuny, I will never trust another real estate agent again.
Laura Livaudais is very knowledgeable about the Asheville real estate market. I found her to be both professional and congenial. She understood my needs as a client and provided the information required to make appropriate decisions. She was always available to answer questions and responded quickly. I enjoyed working with Laura and highly recommend her.
Buyer beware: I have 3 bad reviews from when I was new and I've been trying to make them go down on the list to bring my rating up with more 5 star reviews. Yesterday morning I had 15 reviews rating me at 4.7 stars (should be 5 stars with 15 reviews). Yesterday I also had trouble getting off a lead zip code waiting list. I was transferred more than 3 times and on hold forever. No dept is accountable for anything; they just transfer the call. I was irritated and sent a frank email regarding my experience and my rating went down to 4.5 stars the next day. I've gotten 3 leads under $200,000 in a market with an average sales price of $550,000 in the 3 months I've been "getting" leads. Unfortunately, this program is a huge let down and pretty much a waste of my money. Customer service is either incompetent or is trained to make cancelling anything impossible. I don't get it.
We worked with Lori Novello to sell our condo in Fort Lauderdale and will be working with Lori to find our forever home. She went above and beyond to consult with us along the way to make sure our property was as attractive as possible. Right from the beginning it was evident we were working with a professional who knows the market and has the experience necessary to get the job done. We will continue to work with Lori for all of our real estate needs and recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Fort Lauderdale area.

The worse app does not work online or on the app. Take for ever or dont even load... nothing positive to say
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
