I employed sprayex through rated people dreadful company. Rated people didn't purplish my review kept spraytex ratings high

Had a kitchen fitted by a ''tradesman'' from this site. The kitchen was fitted okay but the tiling is an absolute joke and the pipework for the water wasn't fitted correctly and flooded my kitchen out behind the fitted cupboards. DO NOT TRUST THE REVIEWS ON THE WEBSITE, THEY REMOVE ANY BAD REVIEWS MAKING THE '' TRADESMAN '' LOOK GOOD WITH GLOWING REVIEWS. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

I used rated people to select a rated decorator. He was rude and I wrote a review. It was published. The next day the said review and another that was not favourable was no longer there. This leads me to believe that the service is a waste of time as the views shown are not representative.

TO ALL TRADESPEOPLE - DON'T JOIN, THEY TALKED IS INTO TAKING A MONTHLY PLAN, WHICH TURNS OUT WE CAN'T CANCEL, THEY WON'T CANCEL AND THEY ARE HAPPY TO TAKE FUNDS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T USE THEM ANY MORE. DON'T DO IT!

I signed up to rated people as I had a slow week. In a month I bought 3 leads, I won 1 to the value of around a few hundred, 1 was not as advertised and another was quoted and didn't hear anything back. Anything else for that month was either out of town or not the kind of work my business carries out. Those 3 leads cost me £72! The service is a joke and when you try to cancel you have a 6 hour window in which to call them in plus any unused 'credit' disappears at the start of the next month. Scammers. As a homeowner looking for a decorator I posted on rated people, I had 1 man come round quoting £250 per day for 1 decorator! Given the costs I now see why. Awful company all round it seems.

I will never use rated people again and I would advise no one to use DH Sparks. Most of work carried out but paid £125 certification. This was not provided. I have tried to persuade the electrician to either provide Certificate or refund. Being ignored. Invoice had no VAT either so he's possibly avoiding tax. RatedPeople and DH Sparks are both a complete waste of time.

My elderly grandfather used this site to get a roofer and trusted that due to the name "rated people" and the fact they state that they "screen using Equifax and Action Fraud", that he would find a trusty tradesman... how very wrong he was! After being contacted by a company from the site, he was quoted a very low price and ended up getting scammed out of £7000, for a job that should have cost no more than £1000, and now they have "disappeared". "Rated" People have then said that they take no responsibility for this happening and are just an introductory platform, that is all! After doing a quick google search myself, the owner of said roofing company has been jailed TWICE for scamming elderly people out of thousands... I find it quite concerning that this had never been flagged on their apparent "screening process". Very helpful when trying to contact them, any communication is via email and no one will give us a call to help rectify the problem! I strongly recommended people use other platforms as this is just an advertising platform and that's it!

We had this company to block pave a patio for us, the work was carried out to a very high standard and everything was left clean and tidy

Once they have your bank details, they won't even speak to you, you are just told to email 'customer service' and you never get a response, I've had so many problems I don't know where to start, been charged for jobs I didn't click on, some costing me £50! And no way of getting it back, you can request a job credit but it is always denied with no explanation, 90% of job leads I do click on are fake leads, (no answer or disconnected numbers) and no way of complaining! You can call and press 2 for new customers as this is the only way to get through to a person but they robiticly tell you to email customer service as soon as they hear you are an existing customer and won't take a complaint or put you through to anyone else
There are nothing but fraudsters and need to be shut down

Conmen selling lies and fake leads to Contractors and empty promises to the Customers...
Cowboys and Losers fancy to con Customers. Only 20% of Leads are real Customers! Contractors are wasting money paying for 80% of fake leads!

Cheaters, not recoment to anyone. I joined for one month, I couldn't cancelled my payment, they said that I heve contract for 12 months. Finally I contacted my bank and I canceled direct debit.

If you are a tarde person never ever use this company, because they charge you and give to you FAKE review. It is like you try cal to some person to discus the job and that person tell you what for him don't need to do anythink, but that lead cost to you up to 35£.
I contact with and tell what they are scamers and they don't return to me any peny.
So, please if you don't want lose your money ne er use this company.

That this company will take your money and give you credits for leads that go to no where. If you don't spend your credits because of lack of jobs and too much competition going monkey cheap, you automatically lose it at the end of the month not before take more money off you to repeat the process.

The system they provide does not work and you spend more time trying your credits back which is capped, meaning that you spend your time and money running around in circles getting nowhere and on top of this it will hinder anyone trying to start out their business/ may lead to liquidation or bankruptcy in your first year.

I would recommend their competitors mybuilder, local heros which don't lock you in on a annually monthy debit, which would cost you more than an accountant annually

I obtained a company to Erect my garden fence through Rated People. This was Evergreen Tree Solutions, Sawtry, Huntingdon. Their price was similar to other quotes, but they could start fairly quickly. They asked for a deposit to secure a date in the diary which I duly paid. Unfortunately, they did not make that appointment as they had double booked the day, they agreed to come the following week. The next excuse was Covid-19 and they had to isolate. The next excuse was that no concrete posts or gravel boards were available. I sourced these for them and they then ordered them from my source to be delivered to my house on the agreed date. The team from Evergreen arrived on the day. However, they had significant problems digging holes for the concrete posts and all the posts were not in at the end of day one. In one place the had to shorten the distance between the panels as they hit something solid underground? On the second day they dug the rest of the holes and put the panels in the slots of the posts. The job looked OK.

I paid them the rest of the balance the following day; that was a mistake. Later that day I started to paint the panels and you have to look fairly closely at them at this point. There were quite a few problems where the had to cut the panels to make them fit. There were 4 places in all, this was not done very well at all. At one end of the fence, where it was secured to an outbuilding, the top of the fence was not secured at all and was free to blow in the wind. They had done a bodge job repair, but the wood had split where they had put in screws. I managed to secure that with a small piece of wood and 2 screws. On the other end of the fence where the panel again was not full length they had cut the panel to fit the gap, but had not provided any reinforcing wood down the sides of the feather board panel. I was then a little concerned as to how this could be repaired. I contacted Evergreen, but I have not had a reply. When I had a closer look at this panel I found that it had not been secured in place at all apart from jamming it in the gap between the old wooden post and the new concrete post. A strong wind could have blown the panel out. Fortunately, this will make it easier for me to fix, bit also shows the slap dash approach of Evergreen. I will never employ them again or recommend them to friends or relations. I will not use rated people again either.

So the what sort of rating does Rated People give this firm? How are the rated? Is it just the fact that they send a fee to Rated People for the jobs they are given by Rated People?
