Took £42 3 times out of my account. Very very fraudulent

Put a job out and got a reply. The guy gave his name and did the job so I paid. The work didn't last the day and buckled and leaked. Now I know his name is false and he had no I yention if doing a proper job and no full refund forthcoming. Rated people won't reply to my emails. You're safer closing your eyes and poking the old yellow pages.

Please be really careful with Rated people I'm speaking from my own experience which was terrible.
I was on Rated people for 4-5 months with electrical trade and I've have won 0 jobs and in the same time with all my clients outside rated people I'm having none issues.

For example:
1. Most of the adverts/leads are fake
Uploading 2-3 times with same photos slightly different budget and description and normally lead should be uploaded just once and bought only 3 times from 3 different trades people.

2. On most advert you can't get in touch with the person they don't answer calls, text messages or emails
Or if they do and you agree to meet with them to create a quote 90% of the time they will cancel it on the last moment or stop answering your calls prior meeting.

So you are basically ending up with wasted own time and money for nothing in return.

Yes you have the option to ask for refund on unsuccessful jobs but this is limited and also any credit isn't available for use on the next month.

I did contact rated people to get my account cancelled as I'm not happy at all with them services and they are refusing to cancel it stating that I've got 12 month contract with them which cannot be cancelled until is expired.

But I never signed a contract with them, never been told, or informed when applying that they work like that, all I've been told is that every month when I top up my account with credit I can use that credit to buy leads and if I don't have credit I simply cannot buy any leads same as pay as you go sim card.

So I've decided to mark my card as stolen in order to stop paying anymore to them (I couldn't just cancel the direct debit because they keep the information from your card in order to collect money from you every month)

And now they insist that I own them 500£ for not paying them. 4-5 months in row but when you don't pay you cannot use any of them services.
And basically they expect me to pay for nothing provided in return and threatening to transfer me to third party DEBT COLLECTORS.

So please be careful if you decide to choose rated people as they can create massive headache to you, thank you for reading my comment hopefully it's been some help.

I contacted Ronan (Londonbridge Electricians) on Thu 30th June 2022, for the first time ever. He appeared friendly enough. When I explained that I needed some work done in my bathroom. He said take some images and email them over to me. I sent the requested photos to him, 3 hours later, at 8pm.
He responded the following day saying he could probably do the work early the following week (w/b 4th July). He quoted me £135, plus VAT. He failed to give a day or time. I emailed, Fri 1st July asking him whether he could do Mon 4th (all day) - Or, Tue 9am - 3pm. He did not respond until today (Mon 4th July) to say that he could do Tue 5th at 3pm. This is exactly when I said I would no longer be available. Ronan is a time waster! He wasted my time requesting me to take photos and send them to him and then he has messed me about over dates. I would not give this individual the time of day.

If you have TIME TO WASTE them perhaps he's worth trying. However, not if you have an urgent job that needs doing. HE IS NOT BOTHERED! He could have said he was busy, from the get go - but why would he GAME PLAYING is more fun! How sad?

I wrote a one star review for a company who did a dreadful job in my garden and we're ordered by court to repay my money. Rated People didn't put it on the website. I messaged them 4 times through the website, no response. They responded to a review I put on Trustpilot, asked me to email and that the issues would be dealt with ASAP. I emailed 6th June and again 16th June. No response from Rated People. Avoid this website, they have no regard for the customer at all and support tradesmen rather than the people hiring them.

I thought rated people vet tradesperson thoroughly. Apparently not. They rely on personal reviews and do not check if the company they recommended are actually qualified. Awful experience, costly to rectify. Will never use this company again. You live and learn!

The wrost company gives them money in the wind and it doesn't help, don't use this company you will waste your money on it

T's definitely not very good for installers of upvc, windows door and conservatories. I was told to get 5 good leads a week I need to pay £180 a month. The reality is there are no good leads every potential customer on there wants the job done cheaper than mate rates. I ended up loosing more than £200 of credit because I wouldn't waste my time buying leads that were no good.
My advise is if you think of using them go for the smallest package available so you loose less or just save your money and don't use them at all.
When you phone to cancel they keep trying to talk you out of it and it's not because they think it will get better for you it because if you don't get out quick your in a contract.

Obviously not in the interest of the tradesmen to travel so far hence outlandishly high quotes, that's when they can be bothered to send one

Loft conversion started and completed today. EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP, VERY CLEAN AND TIDY, RESPECTFUL, AND I WAS PLEASED WITH QUOTE AFTER REVIEWING THREE OTHERS. R. T. ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND I WILL REQUEST FURTHER WORK FOR FUTURE PROGECT..

I was left with 3 rooms with no working lights. I had to pay for another electrician and my ceiling to be touched up by a plasterer after using MMM electrical. The Eicert was carried out by Michael's frend, as he isn't EIcert qualified, wasn't completed, I was billed anyway and the cert not completed properly.
When u asked for their company address, none on their invoice or website, he refused to give me it so I was unable to raise a court action to be reinbursed.
Michael then sent threatening messages saying that he would remove the work that he had installed and I had paid for in full. This would be a criminal offense. I have had to block his messages and I'm left out of pocket

Apply for quite a few gas jobs to see if the app works

Most jobs has been completed when you apply or no answer. 1:10 ratio. Some jobs up to 40£ to pay and then when speaking to customer been completed week ago.

O but don't worry rated people allows you to spend hour on the phone to dispute a job to get money back.

They so use to doing it they even record your conversation.
