It works great for some sites, but if you are the unlucky few that shop at the more expensive sites, ebates will not record your cash-back. If you bring this up with customer service, they will say that they are communicating with the company for you but it could take 45 days. Of course, they tell you that in hopes you will forget about the cash back or even give you back a lower percentage of cash back. For example, Ebates has these "special offers" where they will offer you a higher percentage of cash back for a limited time on a specific store. Of course, by the time they received "confirmation of your purchase" from the store after 45 days, the percentage of cash back has changed and they pocket the difference. I'm owed about $40 in cash back from this one purchase and I will not let it go.
Theresa was my Ebates rep and was exceptionally helpful, caring and professional. She took the time to be thorough in answering all my questions. A great company is only as good as the employees who represent them. This kind of great customer service is what keeps customers happy & keeps them coming back.
This site was OK for a few months, I earned a little on some purchases I made. Then this month I've used it to purchase several items, and have received no credit. The trips are shown, but still no credit. I contacted them and was told I needed to submit a lot of paperwork (dates, receipts, etc) in order for them to investigate. It's just not worth it for the little I might be credited. I'm through wasting my time going through them before I purchase items.
I referred 5 family members and guess what, after we all made purchases (some of us made 100+$ purchases), they blocked all our accounts.
I even offered to send them our original IDs.
This scam rebates website MIGHT works for an individual, but forget about Referrals.
I had never had any issues with TopCashback or BeFrugal. Use one of these instead.

I use ebates as my secondary cashback site. They pay. I just don't always get best rate through them
I used to love ebates and used it all the time. The stores I shopped with frequently were no longer on Ebates and then others decreased their cash back or put other restrictions in place which was making it a lot harder to earn cash back. I also find shopping through their app SUPER glitchy, there are a few stores where I just cant checkout but if I log in through the ebates website it works. Weird. For me, due to some stores dropping off of ebates and others decreasing their cash back incentive it isnt as wonderful as it used to be.
This is the best thing to happen to online shopping. I did all my Christmas shopping via Ebates sites and my check was over $200. I rarely shop anywhere that doesn't use it!
Never use this Company. They steal your money, never refund you for the dodgy second hand trash they sell you. Avoid these idiots they will rob you. Fine when things go well but it's a typical rubbish French Customer service when it goes wrong. In other words, and this is typical in this pit of a Country, they couldn't give a flying f art!

I had a problem with one of my rebates. I emailed customer service and they answered within an hour. Great communication through email and they handled my problem quickly.
Like every program there are some ups and downs. Anytime I have an issue, I send an email and they are so good at replying promptly and getting things resolved right away:-). I love them for this and needless to say, the cash back!... I would recommend Ebates to anyone.
I have been using Ebates for a little over three years and have actually received a substantial amount of cash back (which is awesome). Unfortunately, it's taken a lot of time and effort to GET some of that cash back - and almost always in cases where it is a large rebate (Hotels.com in particular or computer software/hardware) or Amazon/ebay (when Ebates claims that the category wasn't applicable - after the fact - even with screens shots). It's very frustrating and persistence is key, as a big chunk of the first couple inquiries on a purchase are met with an (incorrect) reason as to why the purchase didn't qualify.
Cache back up! You are happy to cope! Quick response! Easy to use! Nice talking!

If you use the click through cash back this works well. What I would not recommend is their auto tracker (or whatever it is called) as it slows down your computer and doesn't track half the things you buy.
Was amazed at how quickly I got a response to my email. Not only that, it clarified a point for me, and made everything more than whole.
I dislike going out shopping more and more. But Ebates makes it easy and economical to shop from the comfort of my home. They are friendly and go above & beyond to help resolve any issues. Their cash back % is not always the best but their customer service has been the best.
Have been using Ebates for the past few years and its great! Great customer service. Very easy to use. Just log in, choose your store, and shop. Its that simple. Then 4 times a year you get a check. Might as well make money while you shop.

A site that will pay you to spend the money you were going to spend anyway?! Aside from being a little jealous that I didn't come up with this concept myself, I have no complaints at all. It's really fun to get paid to shop and I find they are consummate professionals when it comes to all the Accounting work that I'm sure they have to do. Their referral program is great and it's cool that they have fluctuating cash back rates depending on seasons and holidays. They also offer in-store cash back which has been a real game-changer for me. Nothing but good things to say about this company and my experiences with them!
