Classic bait and switch. Say it is a free trial. You use it. 10 people scan it, and they disable it. They then hold your code hostage until you pay. You do not have the option to pay month to month, the whole amount is upfront. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using their code in my wedding RSVP so I have no choice but to pay the crazy $120 annual fee. The reps all say this code is dynamic, but I need none of these features, and I was not provided a way to change my code to "static". Any respectable business is clear with their pricing and earns your money with quality products and service. I would have been willing to pay some monthly fee too, I would have just done a little price shopping among competitors. These jerks got me, save yourself.
Borderline scam. They have a "free" option for qr code generation. But it defaults to Dynamic QR codes that require an account that is also "free" for 14 days. But then they disable to codes and then charge an annual fee of $120 for your codes to work. When we tried finding any way to contact them for help, we discovered they have no support or contact details in their support page. Working with our bank to reverse the transaction. Don't pay for qr codes. You can make them actually for free else where. Zero stars.

When you sign up you get a 14 day trial that allows you to make more than one QR code. However, when the trial expires, all of your QR codes will become "expired." You are allowed to have 1 free QR code past the trial end date, but in order to access the "free" account status, you need to only have code, and you CANT DELETE IT without a PAID SUBSCRIPTION. They trap you in order to get you to pay $7 to go back to the free version and hope you forget and continue to pay for something you need. Don't trust these guys.

TLDR; Scammy company - no monthly payment option - it isn't clear that you're using codes that will become inactive unless you pay
These guys went through a lot of effort to hide the fact that you're using a dynamic code. I didn't realize it, and we ordered prints of some table tents, but now we either pay $120/yr or re-order our table tents, which is what I'm going to do. It was only $28 for the table tents, so WAY cheaper than signing up for dynamic codes with QR Code Generator.
Before you print anything with their QR codes, look at the code with your phone's camera. Before clicking the link, look at the link text on your phone screen. If it shows any except the URL of your web page, it's a dynamic code, and unless you sign up for a paid plan, it will become an inactive link when your QR Code Generator trial expires.
I have zero problems with platforms charging for their services, but it should be WAY more clear that you're using a code that will become inactive if you don't sign up for a paid plan.
Also, who in 2022 doesn't offer a monthly plan? Seriously?! You only get an option to pay yearly (starting at $120/yr). It's absurd and scammy.
It was a pleasant surprise after receiving the printed edition from the printing house, when the code turned out to be not working

Their gambit is to get as many people to create the free QR code as possible just so that a small fraction of those people are put in a position where they have to spend for an annual account.
If they had been more upfront about how the code simply works for 14 days, I would have used something else. Now I, a poor $#*! researcher, am forced to spend $85 on a yearly subscription when I just need it for three weeks.

They want you to sign up for a 14 day "free trial"... and once the trial is over they essentially lock your QR codes—you will no longer be able to scan them. In order to "re-activate" them, they want you to pay for a plan... which is "only $9.99/mo" however, it's billed annually and there are "no ways for the system to do anything less than that." (direct quote from their customer service). Absolutely bogus business.

Well. Where to start, I used QR Code Generator to create a QR code that I thought would last for forever (since I don't know anything about QR codes) and guess what, they have you set up your first QR code as a dynamic QR code which expires after the 14 day free trial. AND THEN... they require you to sign up for a YEAR to get your code to continue working (AKA $119 advertised as $9.99 per month with no option to do it monthly). BASICALLY, DON'T use this website. It falsely advertises to brides (who are already stressed with all the other planning going on)!

The service provide a nice "free" QR code generator, but the link in the QR code actually points to their website, and once the evaluation period expires, so does the redirection. There is a 60 euro minimum fee for a subscription to be able to re-enable the link.

The advertise that your QR code is free. And then, a week into it, they email you and tell you your QR code will expire if you don't sign up for service (after you've most likely already made all your posters and promo materials!). To make it worse, they advertise a $9.99/mo service to keep your QR code live... gr, but fine. But then they actually charged me $120 because they charge an entire year at a time! There is no way to contact customer service because it's based in Germany. I sent them an email to cancel the charge made moments ago, but haven't heard back. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company if necessary.

Once your free trial ends they will try to trick you into paying annually. DONT PAY ANYTHING, I found a way around it.
You have to go to their help center, search "free" and click the "activate free plan" link all the way St the bottom down by the FAQs, it's very hidden. You might have to click through multiple screens to get there, but eventually a pop up opens that says "activate free plan".
I have a lot of upset customers that couldn't access the directions to my product and I'm sure I lost potential returning customers now thanks to this BS company.

At no point did this website let me know that I am signing up for a trial. I was under the impression that I was signing up for a free service. I have already printed the QR code on merchandise. Now I'm being pushed into paying money to keep my QR codes alive. Very janky and not cool. Use any other service than this one.

This company has a real issue with false advertising. They advertise free QR codes on many platforms and then they will just deactivate the code to get you to pay. Don't make the same mistake I did. Save your time and your money. When you contact customer service about the misleading advertising they'll try and avoid refunding you. This company is absolute garbage.

*Update- I emailed customer service and they extended my trial. They were quick to respond. Just make sure that you don't accidentally select the dynamic QR code if you don't want it to disable after a trial period.
I will stay away from this site in the future. I used another site for my other daughter's Girl Scout cookie QR code and it is working fine. This site disabled our QR code before the sale is over! This is so wasteful and a bunch of flyers we handed out are now useless.
Everything everyone is saying about the website and service being a scam is right, don't use this site! I now have to go to a client and tell them the QR codes that are already out there are invalid and I have to start using new ones moving forward.
At no point during creation or sign up does it say they will disable the code unless you pay them after 14 days. Don't let the company's responses on here tell you otherwise :).

This is another business who offers thebmost simple qr code generator you can find free and its business model is set around you forgetting to cancel your subscription! Remember your yearly renewal! Theyve taken 100$ twice (200)off for a total of 23 scans in two years. It seems majority of others are experiencing similar falls to getting sucked into their product and not getting out *no support, billing, etc* BEWARE, get better judgement from other reviews saying the same thing and read the small text to understand hoe they're making their money. Their product works. It makes a qr code. Dont expect support or anything else but that. Hiring a profession designer for a qr code would be cheaper or getting one for free online.
