It seems that this company has a rather bad reputation for enforcing their auto renewal even when you inform them promptly less than 30 days from their invoice.
They also say in their defence that "We also send a reminder email 30 days before the next renewal date of your plan,..." NO THEY DON'T. The first time you find out is when your card has been debited... or in my case when the request for payment failed due to an expired card.
The tool was not used in the last 12 months so why would I allow an auto renewal?... despite explaining this I just received Very terse responses to my emails.
It seems that others have had a similar experience with QR Code-generator.com... KEEP WELL CLEAR
The site starts off by claiming you can create a free QR Code. However, unbeknownst to the customer, this ends up being a "14 day free trial." If you don't renew, your code stops working. By this time, you have already had the code set up in publications etc... so you purchase their expensive yearly plan-- which ends up autorenewing with NO notice to the customer.
When I disputed my payment with the company, they claimed they sent me a 30 day notice via email. THIS IS NOT TRUE. They did not send any notices. It was also NOT clear when I was duped into purchasing the plan that it would auto renew.
Their customer service sucks and they will not refund you if you dispute the auto renewal, even if you haven't used the service and/or do it immediately after receiving a notice that you were billed (again).
Please stay away from this company. There are MUCH better places to create a QR Code.

It sounds as though you have signed up for our 14 day free trial. This is a free, temporary subscription that allows you to test out all the great features of our QR Code Generator Pro plan.
As you mentioned, since this option is a trial, it ends after the 14 day period. After this time, your dynamic QR Codes will be put on pause but can be reactivated once you sign up for a paid plan!
As outlined in our terms and conditions, unless we receive a cancellation request, your plan will be auto-renewed. We require all customers to confirm that they have read our terms and conditions at the time of signing up to ensure that they are fully aware of our policies and are fully equipped to handle their subscription.
We also send customers a reminder email to ensure that they have plenty of time to make a cancellation request before their plan is renewed if they wish to. Occasionally this email can get caught in spam filters, which is not something we have control over.

I tried to use their "free trial" until I was suddenly asked to purchase a year for $60.00 USD. They had promised a notification of pending renewal so it could be cancelled before their deadline. That "notification" never showed up! Hhowever, on the very next day after they tried to charge me for another year. The cr4edit card they had had been cancelled due to fraud against the card number (theirs?). Anyway, when the card charge was declined they began dunning me for payment of 60.00 Euros, not dollars ( over an 8%k increase over $60.00). They wasted no time insending emails for payment, because of the origi9nal "contract". They kept claiming I had signed a contract with them. The automatic renewal was not obvioius on their data entry screen, and they never sent a renewal notice, as part of this "contract". It is apparent to me that their business practice is to hook people who mean well in trying their code generator, and make money for doing nothing except sending a few emails to get you to pay.My advice to anyone considering this companyis: STAY AWAY FROM QR-CODE-GENERATOR.COM! They will try to scam you like they have me AND OTHERS.

J'ai généré le qr code gratuitement, mais quand j'ai mis le qr code sur mes cartes visites, et après 14 jours d'usage le code ne fonctionne plus. Il me redirigé vers un lien pour payer au moins 60 /an, pour que le code devient fonctionnel. Pourquoi ils déclare que le service est gratuit, alors que c'est pas le cas? Pourquoi un paiement annuel et pas par usage?!

Il semble que vous ayez fait bon usage de notre période d'essai gratuit. Nous sommes ravis d'offrir à nos clients 14 jours pour tester toutes nos options mais lorsque cette période touche à sa fin, les codes QR dynamiques sont désactivés. Vous pouvez cependant les remettre en service en souscrivant un forfait.
Les abonnements sont renouvelés chaque année mais vous pouvez y renoncer jusqu'à la veille du renouvellement automatique. Les codes QR créés dans le cadre de votre forfait continuent ensuite de fonctionner pendant trois ans (hors modifications).

It is very good for my job. I will definitely use it again in the future. Next time I might buy too. But to apply for membership is a bit difficult but not much I'd like it to be linked to my place, not their webpage first.

I used qr-code generator briefly in 2018. Once the free trial was up, to keep the codes active, I signed up for the service. DON'T be like me. Avoid this company - there are plenty of inexpensive ways to generate QR codes with honest companies that have excellent customer service ratings. You do not need this service - it will be nothing but a hassle for you.
In December 2019, my subscription auto-renewed. I received no prior notice about the auto-renewal, and QR-code generator had an old credit card number, so the charges were declined. By the time I asked to cancel my subscription and deactivate my service, I was told it was too late. I owed the upcoming full year's service because of "ongoing costs related to my account regardless of actual usage."
I requested that my service be disconnected and qr-codes deactivated because I did not authorize the auto-renewal charges for the additional year of service. QR-codes has deactivated my account (I just tried to log-in to make sure everything has been canceled and deleted and my account is blocked), however, they continue to invoice me for a year of service and are threatening debt collection. I will be in touch with my state's attorney general's office of consumer protection department to file a complaint.
**Update - company responded one day ago here that they have responded to my message. I've received no emails from them in the last few days or private messages through sitejabber. They do not seem interested in additional details or in looking into this for me, as I've received no follow-up. I have, however, submitted a complaint to my AG's Consumer Protection Department, and they are welcome to reply directly to the Massachusetts AG's office.

Just like everyone else, I had materials printed for work just to find out I had to pay. So I paid, $5 a month who cares. Then my bank calls me, did I make a $66 payment in Germany? Turns out these SCAMMERS don't offer a $5 a month option as they advertise. They charge you an entire year up front. Scam. Scam. Scam. Scam. I will not be allowing the charge to go through. I'd rather cancel my card than give them the money. Can't believe they're allowed to be so high up in the google search engine. FRAUD.

I confirm this is a scam. It's NOT free contrary to what they claim.
They are just like many professional solution providers for code generators, offering a 14-day (free) trial period. After this period, you can no longer use your codes, unless you subscribe for a (very expensive) fee.
At least other professional providers are clear on their pricing and terms and conditions, whilst offering better generators.

After 4 years of continuous renewals, I asked for a refund after just 15 days of the auto-renewal date. I simply forgot about the renewal after leaving the company I was using this service with. They refused any rationale behind my oversight. Got charged $167. Bad customer service policy in this day and age. Lesson learned. Go somewhere else if you want better customer service.

Worked well for a project for a couple of months. Following we stopped using it and without any reminders, it renewed the yearly service. Now can't get refund for a service we aren't using for a year.
Terrible company - auto-renewed and wouldn't compromise on the fee. I didn't cancel in time so they are trying to get me to pay for another year of a service I used ONCE!
