This is less about generating qr codes and more about generating large amounts of money through disingenuous marketing.
I had what I thought was a free account, except that it wasn't. It defaults to a paid account by deceptive means, and then when you refuse to pay you get demands with menaces. If you don't live in Germany you have to pay by international bank transfer, which whacks another £15 onto the bill.
This is a SCAM designed to relieve you of your hard-earned money. It's 2020, everyone is struggling except of course operators with the moral compass of a con merchant.
Avoid at all costs. Especially the need to have to pay £72 + £15 international transfer fee I've had to pay.
If you want to lock into a subscription with some company that claims that there generator is FREE, go for it!
Printed the QR codes on signs and feel like an idiot when I realized there was a subscription to use the QR codes. I feel sheepish. But good news! You can just get a free QR code from another site, print a sticker, and slap that bad boy right on top of there $27.50 per month garbage!

Hidden fees at every corner. I wish I would have read these reviews before signing up for a 'free' QR code. I suggest reading every detail.

After signing up through my work email a year ago, using my personal card to move things along, then wrapping up with that employer, you can imagine my surprise as I saw the charge recently appear again on my card for the yearly subscription.
I had no warning since I don't have access to that work email. I haven't used the service in all this time because I cannot access the account. They're refusing to refund the charge.
They say they're sorry for the confusion, but I doubt that. They don't care about customer success if $70 is more valuable to them than an ongoing relationship and referrals.
If they made it right by refunding the amount, we would end on a high note and I'd remember them for future QR code needs. Instead we're here and I'm having to warn other people about their scammy tactics.

I tried the 14 day free trial to create 1 basic QR code for some marketing pieces. When you sign for the trial, it states basic QRs last after the trial, not Dynamic (which comes with tracking, editing options, etc.). I went online, created one code and used for print materials and online marketing pieces. 3 days before the end of my trial I am advised that unless I get a paid subscription, my QR will be invalid. They apparently default the site to create Dynamic codes and you need to know to manually change that during your free trial. So now I have to recreate all my marketing, or pay a minimum 60Eur a year to maintain my 1 QR code (basic package only includes 2, so not like you get infinite abilities on this package). I am putting those 60Eur to better use by using another site and reprinting all of my marketing. CS was of zero help.

I went into my settings to turn off auto-renewal for their paid annual subscription. However, I was still charged for another year and they refused to refund me the money. I contacted them as soon as I was charged and they were not willing to listen. At the end of the day, it was my own fault for even getting involved with the company.

Same as all the other reviews before me. This company is a scammer with very poor and vague invoicing and subscription renewal practices. Stay far away from them.
Subscribed last year and lately have been charged for the renewal that I didnt ask for. Got some emails and now a letter saying I owe them 150 EUROS for something I didnt order. QRCG, have you sent me any email warning about the renewal? If so, prove it.

Auto renewed a contract despite attempts to cancel. Refused to refund despite reaching out on the day if renewal.
Additionally, I never received a "30 day warning" via email.
There products are fine, but their service level is quite poor.
I strongly suggest going elsewhere.

I beg you to use any website but this one.
As I see have many others, I too fell for the "free" trial which after 14 days become useless. Only their "static" QR codes can still be used after the trial ends, however the option to create a static code is hidden away and hard to locate. I had no choice but to purchase a subscription at 60/year, which is advertised at 5/month despite there being no monthly billing option (misleading). It then transpires that the price is not including VAT of 20%, which again is hidden away on their website. When I was making my purchase it clearly said "total 60" and definitely nowhere that there would be an additional 12 on top. When emailing them, the customer service team falsely claimed the extra cost was clearly stated and refused to issue me a refund for the extra amount taken fraudulently. Frankly disgusting practices in use here.

Total bait and switch. They don't tell you that the qr codes will be deactivated after 14 days. The lowest priced option to reactivate is $66 paid once yearly with no option for a shorter subscription period. The lowest tier pricing is also limited to only 10,000 scans. They do not disclose anywhere upon signup that your code will be deactivated. I ended up paying the fee out of desperation, but I will absolutely never use their service again. Just about every other QR code generator out there service provides addons for an additional charge but I've never heard of a company deactivating the generated codes. Shame on these people and their shady business practices. Any good reviews posted on this company are likely fake, especially because they don't go into detail about the actual app.

Poor communication in regards to trial. Did not realize services would be locked down after a trial period until we purchased a subscription which put me in a tough position for some print material that had already been distributed. Emailed their customer service and let them know about it and they had the audacity to charge my account again this year. I'm sure their services work fine but just know, there is no trial period. You're paying from the get go.
