This is the first screen protector I have ever owned that chipped and it did so within 4 months. When I filed for a warranty replacement I found out that it was going to cost $11.95 for Standard (7-10 Business Days) shipping. I checked the actual cost to mail it and it is only $4.06. Instead of Pure Gear's scam warranty I bought a 2 pack of Supershieldz for $5.99. I've used them before and never had them chip.
DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY OR THEIR PRODUCTS.
Purchased a screen protector installed by my phone company. And within a few weeks it was shattered to all get out. I filled out a warranty claim (thank god for the warranty, right?) and paid $10 for shipping and waited. And waited. After double the expected wait time I emailed them to remind them and check in, just in case something got lost in the shuffle. No response. After waiting again I sent another email. Nothing.
At this point I took the screen "protector" off, and my phone as been shiny and crack free since.
I tried calling on three different occasions during business hours and the phone just rang and rang. I sent a final email just asking for my extra $10 back that had been taken out of my bank account. Again, nothing.
At this point it's been 6 months, and I've essentially paid them $50 for a useless product and an extra $10 for thin air. The best I can do is warn others not to be swindled out of their honest money.
I went to our AT&T store after I received my new phone because I used Gadget Guard from them before and it was such a nice product but they said they stopped selling that and now sell Pure Gear and it was as good if not better... well it's not. I've had it a month now and I have small chips in it around the edges and two large scratches and it's only normal wear and tear. When I looked at the warranty info after registering it, it says it doesn't cover any normal wear and tear! Terrible product for the money and it doesn't last
Purchased a new note10+ last night from Verizon and they put the curved screen cover on at a cost of $40. Phone is charging in the kitchen. Just found the screen cover on the couch chewed up by the dog. He has not had access to my phone so at some point while I was walking around the house, the protector came off. My previous phone, the screen protector lasted full 2 years. Won't buy this product again.
My Verizon store put pure gear screen protectors on our new phones without telling me they cost $50 each. Both cracked and/or chipped within a month. I called pure gear several times and left messages after being on hold for a very long time and then being told I had to just leave a message. I did the warranty form on line and paid my $10 bucks for a new one (which is absurd for something with a lifetime warranty). Also the first ones came with the pure pledge so if my phone broke I would get some money back, and the replacement one has a big sticker on it that says "replacement only. Not eligible for pure pledge." So I have now paid $60 for a piece of junk screen protector that doesn't even include the phone screen guarantee any more. Terrible customer service + terrible product = reeeeally terrible company.
Please be careful buying this. I did have a screen break very easily too. I did receive a replacement over a month later; and then a second one without my requesting it. This means they charged my card without permission for shipping costs. I have made over 10 calls and emails and a written letter to them, a report to BBB. I am awaiting payment for my screen repair. They don't callback or email either. I don't know what to do but hope no one else has this problem. I also pleaded with my local Verizon store to look into but they did not or would not (that's another story). Help.
I bought a new phone and decided to purchase a screen protector, after a week... two cracks appeared, "HOW?" I never dropped my phone.
This company invest more in box quality not what in the box.
The " Limited lifetime warranty. +... fees apply" Unacceptable.
DO NOT BUY
The first time my phone was dropped it cracked in 2 places. I tried to contact Pure Gear by phone and by website. Never recieved any return calls or response from the website. Tried several times.
Russell Cellular convinced me this was a great screen protector. I paid $40 for it and it cracked and peeled off my phone the very next day. Do not purchase this. They claim they will replace it but you have to pay $10 to get it shipped. It is not even worth the $10 and you may never get it send to you.
It just happened so quickly, I didnt know what to do.
I'd been on the horn with their customer service for several months trying to get an exchange for a screen protector with no glue. They send me one finally but it was the wrong size! I send them an email asking for a new one and they ignore me for another 6 months! I guess after nagging them so many times they got annoyed and put two bullets in my poor pooch.
Word of advice: don't buy from pure gear and certainly don't let them near your canines
Just tried to register the screen protector that I purchased, for the lifetime warranty and have been unable to even get the site up. Is anyone else having issues?
The Pure Gear screen protectors are the biggest scam going. The product is inferior and vastly overpriced and customer service is non-existent. I just ordered a two-pack of a highly rated screen protector for $10 - the same amount that Pure-crap charges for shipping a replacement. Verizon should be censured for recommending these crooks to every customer.
I went to AT&T for a USB charger for my car to use the Android Auto. Ive only had the charger for a few weeks and now for the last few days the charger wont work in my car it connects and disconnects and its very frustrating. I went to the same AT&T store to get it replaced and the manager stated i needed to go online and file a claim to get a new one for FREE, so i waits my time registering and filling out the claim form to find out i need to pay $9.95 for shipping and handling, in a way i understand the fee but its ridiculous what happened to the days when one could walk in and just get it replaced in less than five min. Dont know if I will pay that and wait 4-7 business days for a new one, most likely ill just order one from amazon for the same price that will last the same amount of time or longer.
What a joke. I bought my screen protector from Tmobile because I was guaranteed replacement if the protector broke. Almost a month later, Tmobile is still trying to find out why I cannot get my replacement and when they might be available. Puregear won't even return Tmobile's emails. What a waste of money.
I filed a claim for a broken screen cover, got an email saying claim was approved with claim number. 2 weeks later no new screen cover. I have called and been on hold indefinitely, left phone messages and emailed about 4 times. NO RESPONSE WHAT SO EVER!
The screen protector is useless garbage and the customer service is nonexistent. I filed a warranty claim weeks ago, have followed-up with them every day with emails and phone calls, and have not so much as replied. Stay away from this company. They are a bunch of con artist thieves.
I have called at least 7x and left messages and they never returned my calls. I also left emails and the response was someone would return my calls the day. I'm still waiting weeks later. At&t and other phone companies should definitely not be selling
Any of their products.
The cellular store employee convinced me to purchase this product with life time warranty. Yes it will take me a lifetime to replace it...
I bought my screen protector for my new phone from Verizon. I sent in the warranty. It cracked 4 months later and I tried to reach the company for 6 weeks with no response. I filled out in for on line to have them contact me 8 times and left messages 10 times. I can't believe this company can even stay in business I pain 44.99 for absolutely NOTHING! NEVER EVER BUT ANYTHING FROME THIS PLACE! I tried complaining to Verizon because I feel they should stand behind products they sell in their store and they could care less.
I have had the same issues with replacement and lack of response from Pure-gear help line. You stay on hold (forever) then the message says leave a message that must go out to outer-space because you never get a call back. I just wish this review could be a negative 5 stars.
Answer: No product received no way to connect them. PAId FOR SHIPPING ALSO
Answer: SCREEN PROTECTOR CRACKED. THEY IGNORE ME, I CANNOT GET REPLACED. TRYING FOR OVER 6 MONTHS. WARRANTY EXPIRES FEB. 2020. I WILL NEVER BUY PRODUCTS FROM PUREGEAR.
Answer: It won't be. I hope you didn't pay the shipping fee because you won't see that either. Consider forgetting about it or possibly editing your review to reflect your current situation with their customer service. Consider also putting pressure on the place where you bought it to stop supporting an expensive product that doesn't do what it's being used for.
Answer: PureGear does not honor defect products and ignores submitted warranties. NO REPLACEMENT, ON RESPONSE. PureGear does not answer telephone number 1-877-570-4327 AFTER HUNDREDS OF PHONE CALLS. RINGS ONCE AND HANGS UP. ANYONE SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS IS IN COLLUSION WITH PUREGEAR.
