I used free trial for 7 days then I forgot to cancel it. I also thought if I forget I would be charged with only one month fee. However 8th day I saw that one year membership fee was taken from my credit card then I sent an email explaining the situation and to get a refund. They got back to me in an hour and send my refund at that time. Their support team was very fast and helpful.
Thank you,
Sinemyis
The advertisement is a bait and switch. Says it's a 7-day free trial, they charged my account $48. I requested a refund, as it stated, no questions asks. Conveniently, they cannot find my transaction. They want me to send them a screenshot of my account. Who does that? With all of the scams and hackers, that's not going to happen. I will be contacting my bank.
This web page was not clear on their charges after their free trial. Charged us for the whole year. Giving it my lowest score. Do not recommend.

Just to let people know, they show you the monthly price but charge you for a year. Can cancel but you loose your money ney.

I was working on invitations and i filled everything out and it gave no indication that i would need to pay for anything, but, after i pressed send and worked on it for a really long time it said i would need to pay for the premium membership! Rude rude rude

Says it's free but it's just a 7-day trial, which it doesn't tell you until after you've spent all your time creating the evite. Total garbage. Sad I'll have to deal with their emails forever now.

Punchbowl is a great and affordable program with options for one off users as well as high end users. With so many applications out there I'm often concerned with support. Sometimes the pricing is sneaky and locks you into something you really didn't want. My experience with Punchbowl was great. Their support was quick and very helpful. I highly recommend their program and will be a regular user.
Picked PunchBowl because I thought the invitation was SLIGHTLY cuter than Evite - boy, was that a mistake. Got through the entire process, ready to send, and realized there was no free option. You can either pay annually or monthly - because I had already put in the work, I choose the monthly (~$10) knowing I could cancel after the party was over but feeling frustrated that I just paid $20 (2 months) for an online invitation. That was my second mistake - I should have just left and done an Evite. Punchbowl doesn't allow you to edit email addresses once you send them and my mom sent me a few incorrect email addresses so I had to delete and re-send BUT it put me over 50 guests (I guess it counts it even if you delete it) and now they are making me pay $25 A MONTH for an online invitation (or I can pay $75 for a year, oh boy). It's really sneaky how they trap you. I will be telling everyone I know to not use Punchbowl, I will be canceling as soon as this party is over and I am very disappointed in this site, as this is my first time using and I use online invite sites 3-4 times a year.

I use this company every year for a large event. Their platform helps me make a nice e-invitation and manage the large guest list responses, communicate with guests etc. Their customer service is friendly and quick when asking questions, changing membership types and status etc. Punchbowl packs a punch in a GOOD way! Thank you!
The software is very user-friendly and allows for a lot of customization and flexibility. I found it a lot more cost competitive compared to Paperless Post (pay-per-invite with coins that you can purchase instead of a monthly or annual subscription); I did not check other software options out there. The thing that really made me come out and review them publicly is their customer service. I had accidentally signed up for annual instead of monthly, and I reached out to them explaining the situation, and they gladly changed my subscription and credited me back! It was so quick and easy, and they were so understanding and lovely!
I loved the ease of the invitations and customizations. I had a problem with membership fees and it was corrected within the hour. Unbelievable customer service, which is getting rarer these days. If I ever decide to be an extrovert, this will be my go to company!
I was very unimpressed that your service, advertised as FREE on google search, required payment of a subscription fee to manage RSVPs!
I was ok with paying one month, at $3.99, if required, but I was extremely UNhappy to discover that the cost of the full annual subscription of $50 had been charged! Additionally, the exchange rate was 30% to my Canadian dollar; they took over $66 out of my bank account!
I cancelled my subscription on April 3rd and I want my refund...

They charged my credit card $98.55 for an annual subscription just to send out birthday invitations for my daughter's birthday. I do not remember agreeing to an annual membership. Membership for what exactly? I'm not a party planner and I only have 1 child what would I possibly need with an annual membership? It's disappointing that this is the way this company chooses make its money. This is a service I will no longer use and will tell everyone I can not to use either! I contacted customer service when I noticed the charge on my PayPal account and all I got was it was my responsibility to cancel and they have no idea when a customer wants to cancel. The problem with that is I never agreed to it! So basically they charge me $98 to send an electronic birthday card for a 7 year old. Shameful!
Pre-Covid I used Punchbowl many times and was pleased. But post-Covid my CC and PW got into the hands of scammers. I received 4 fraudulent charges on my credit card. The scammers even had my password which was unique to Punchbowl. Check your CC statement! I don't know if they were hacked or were involved in the fraud but I will NEVER trust Punchbowl again.
Went to the website, found a nice card for my daughter, was willing to accept an ad in it, and I couldn't send it without joining. Worse, even if I was willing to pay for one month $4.99 as advertised, they would charge me for an entire year. Read about others experiences here--even if I could contest any charges after canceling on my cc, I decided that deception up front often indicates later deception and problems. Not worth trusting this company.

They string you along with the promise of creating and sending free invites. Then, once you've spent time creating your invite, you literally cannot send it without signing up for a "free trial" which is 1 week. So unless your party is within a week- how is this useful as a free service?! Also, unless you purchase a premium membership, there are ads on your invite, which is why it didn't seem too good to be true. I mean, if I'm sending along ads with my kids' birthday invitations- shouldn't it just be free?

I needed to do online invites in a hurry. The site is easy to use, but you cannot activate unless you pay for a subscription. I attempted to use the subscription for a minimum amount, but it would not let me. I've cancelled the subscription now - but there is no refund for "unused time.'" Bummer. My fault really - but I wish there were more subscription options for a one time event.
It's false advertising and they should be fined. They need to change their verbiage when soliciting their product. They completely extort you for money. After creating an invite and you try to send it. Then it says you need to pay even though it says free throughout the whole process. Their cards are less than mediocre so I figured I'd get what I'd get and give it a try. But nobody should pay for their lousy cards when they pigeon hold you.

After spending a week setting up the invitations and being promised "free online invitations", we go to complete the process and send our invitations, only to get hit with a paywall. Our "free online invitations" ended up being "free for 7 days", then you have to pay. Classic bait and switch if you ask me! Nowhere during the whole process was a fee or payment ever disclosed until the very end.
Believe me, we are definitely canceling after we receive all of our RSVP's, but I have a feeling it's going to be difficult. The best, is by default, they try to sign you up for a yearly plan instead of a monthly plan (they do this by manipulating the price, the yearly is less per month, and by classic making it the first option), so it seems like they trick people into signing up for more then they need. Here's an idea Punchbowl, don't be deceitful and people would actually value the product you offer!

It's honestly not hard. When I sell something, I don't say, "Here's something free" and then, when a customer tries to take it, basically hold them up to extort them for money. Well, Punchbowl has no such moral qualms about treating its customers terribly. They advertise - through THE ENTIRE process - that you can make and send free invites. That's what I searched for in the search engine! Then, AFTER you've put time and work into them, Punchbowl dangles your head in a toilet and rifles you for all your spare change. Despicable. If they believed in their business, they would say, up front, that they charge for their service.
In no real-world situation would this be allowed: can you imagine a restaurant pulling this stunt? A car wash? A movie theater? Nope, there would be immediate backlash.
Despicable.
