Online bills sneak in rate increases without notice. Late fees and lien charges are disproportionate to the amount owed. Bills and notices arrive at different times and contain conflicting information. Due dates are misleading and office staff often has different opinion as to what is due when. Insurance is maniditory and expensive.
I really felt Alex at the Burnsville Public Storage was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. He helped with my need for boxes and a rental unit.
I want to start of by saying how disgusted and unsatisfied I was with this storage facility. I had all my things stored here for about a year and a half and never missed a payment nor was I ever late with a payment (check your records) and when I was ready to clear out my things to move into my new home last week we found on all of our belongings there was rat urine and droppings all over my furniture and other belongings as well and they didn't have the decency to send a notification to people letting them know of the vermin infestation. The staff said they have been aware of the infestation since the summer time but didn't seem to care Instead they told me that's not their problem and I had to handle it my self. Also I was disgusted with the staff there because they are still renting space to anyone that asks for one without informing any of them about the rats that are inside the facility still. This was not a safe or clean environment for me and my wife is pregnant and to expose her to this is a serious health hazard. I will seek legal counsel due to the thousands of dollars I've lost when I had to throw all my furniture and personal belongings away due to the health hazards from Vermin urine and droppings in which I do have photos of. I would never recommend Public storage to anyone I know so they don't go through what me and my family went through and I will forever tell this story about my Public storage nightmare. $#*! you guys seriously. DO NOT TRUST THEIR UNRELIABLE ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM!
After I made a reservation for a large unit online I received an email with a confirmation number, details of the unit, move-in date, pricing, etc. The email also indicated that "To complete this rental, just show up at the property at ******* Cowan, Irvine, CA, *******-6012 on 10/22/2015." I decided to visit the location and complete the paperwork a couple of days in advance. When I called to arrange a time to do that I was told – to my surprise – that the reservation was not available anymore because "the system" had a different move-in date and I didn't show up. The on-site managers, Sadik and Masuma tried to explain to me about "the system" and that there was nothing they can do, suggesting me to call their supervisor Todd Haynes in Santa Ana. I immediately called and left Todd a voice mail and sent him an email including my confirmation (with cc to Customer Service"), but I never got any response from anybody.
I had already made arrangements for movers, based on the confirmation I received from "the system." I couldn't find anywhere in my reservation an indication that I had to re-confirm what was already confirmed; to the contrary, it invited me to "just show up at the property." Can you imagine if I had done that with the movers and a loaded truck? THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE: THEY JUST SHOWED A TOTAL DISRESPECT FOR THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED IN MY CONFIRMATION!
So, bottom line, I needed to cancel my movers and I don't have the "confirmed" space, because "the system" says so, in spite of all the documentation I have in my hands.

Moved to Raleigh from Fayetteville after retiring from a job at Fort Bragg. Wasn't certain of my final location and stayed with my daughter temperarily. I visit my family members and traveled for the past two years and then decided to stay here in Raleigh with my daughter and her family. Public Storage was willing to assist me in storing my belongings while I decided my next steps. I rented a second space to sort through and give awayand then a much smaller space as I continued to down size and was able to give up more of my belongings to live more simply. They were patient with my process and were supportive and caring.
I rented a storage unit at public storage in Sacramento Ca, and the customer service I received from a nice lady I think her name was Jude was great she was very sweet and patient with me and she explained everything to where I could understand and didn't miss anything and answered all my questions. Thank you! Jude and public storage for being the best experience iv had finding and storage place for my items. If your ever in Sac Ca, and need a place to keep your household items safe and secure until your ready for them try Public storage and if you want a good customer experience try the public storage location at 801 57th street Sac C! ******* and asks for Jude.
I have done business not only with Public Storage but many other companies in the area. There has been no one as helpful and upbeat as Laura Jo at any of those places. I would say excellent service all of the time. She is an asset as your representative and one of the only reasons I continue to store with you.

I have a huge complaint with your billing processes. No where in the agreement when one first signs up to rent one of your units does it state that the rental price is subject to change. After speaking with your customer service, they confirm that it does not clearly state you can change my rental fee but I am suppose to assume that is exactly what Month-To-Month means. Had I known the rental price is subject to change I would not have rented from your company in the first place. In order to improve your customers experience you should consider training your on-site employees to communicate that information to us before receive the first payment and have it clearly document in your legal paperwork. This is an extremely irritating situation and I will no longer promote your company to the general public as being a good option for anyone with storage needs.
Note for the general public-I've been told u typically have 6months at the rate you originally agreed to. After that, they will send you a notification that your rental fee will increase. So if you plan to rent over 6months, it really will only give you more of a headache then it's worth.

And Barbara was the only one that made me feel safe. She answered all my questions even found the best deal for me. I didn't feel pressured to rent from her. All so she seems to like her job and makes a good first impression.
Earl was very efficient with answering all my questions and gave me good recommendation, the Property was well kept, I walked away a very happy costumer. My overall experience was great.
