Public Storage's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to steep and frequent price increases, inadequate customer service, and poor management responsiveness. Many customers report feeling neglected, with unresolved issues regarding billing and unit security leading to frustration. While some locations receive praise for their cleanliness and helpful staff, these positive experiences appear inconsistent. Overall, the feedback suggests a troubling trend of unprofessional practices and a lack of accountability, prompting customers to caution others about their experiences and consider alternative storage options.

Shemika explained everything that I needed to know she was very curtious and respectful I'm glad that I had the experience of meeting her.
Creedmoor road property manager is the worst ever. I've had 2 encounters with her since paying my money and she's nothing like she was before commitment. I seriously think she hates her job. I have never received such bad customer service.
Ill give cherese 10 stars any day she explain a lot to me went over all the paperwork and told me everything I need to know great work cherese
Went to Goleta, CA to rent a storage space and Pedro Navarro was extremely helpful. The storage is good but the customer service provided by this associate was great!
Customer Service was very helpful & friendly, Much better prices than Delta storage, Close to Bayonne, easy loading and unloading
Allen Park, MI. Reported no light in unit in December. At end of March, still no light. Rate hike from $155.00/month to $181.00/ month within a few months. When asked about it, girl in office said to call "customer service". No such people exist. All options take you back to local office. None of the customer service or other corporate office phone numbers give you any help, again, all lead back to local office which gives no help.
Came in the other day to pay my auntie bill and Helina was very nice and friendly. I did have the unit number or didn't know what last name she was very patient and helpful.
When we first moved to Washington there was limited storage units available in the area. All except one was available at the preferred location. When I called I spoke with Dee, who was most informative, kind, and saved us the last spot until we got there. Once we arrived she helped set us up with everything we needed and it didn't take long at all. Great customer satisfaction guaranteed
We rented a storage unit, we have had it a little over a year. After 5 months our bill went up $30/month. I called and she told me that they can change the price whenever, she said in the summer storage units are in higher demand and they raise the price which means I will have a higher Bill. She said once the summer is over the price usually goes back down. I asked so does that mean our bill will be cheaper? She said yes. That never happened and now our bill has went up another $30/month and it is spring time. So in a year's time our bill has went up $60/month. This is ridiculous when I asked if I could get a smaller unit they said they didn't have any but it was only $40 cheaper a month and that it really wasn't worth it, if you ask me this company is very greedy this should not be a policy. When you sign up you should have a locked in rate they shouldn't be able to Jack up the prices whenever they want.
Staff was very friendly & helpful. Patient with me because of an injury I have. Explained everything to my understanding. I would go back again and again.
When I agreed to sign the rental agreement, I was told by the Public Storage rental agent, and it was stated on the advertisement, that my rate was "locked in". I received a notice 4 months later that my storage unit rent would go up $27 more per month. Read your agreements! My mistake for not doing so.
Amanda from the Glendale call center, at least that's what she said hung up on me. I had almost forgotten to pay for my storage and attempted to go online after I got off work... I did not want to miss the date of making my first payment! It was late when I got off and wanted to rush before 12 am! I tried so many times to put my email and account number in to set up the my online account. ( online account payment method is free... using call center is 20.00 and automated calls are 10.00 extra) to avoid late fees I called to explain the issue I was having at this point 12am was approaching. Amanda was the one who took my call, she explained to me that I didn't have an email associated with my account! No fault of my own because It was never told to me that in order to go online I would need a email provided. So I wanted to ensure since it was three minutes to 3/11/17 that I wouldn't be charged anything extra. So Amanda continues to get smart with me so I ask for her manager and she says " yeah, I'll get the manager" and proceeds to hang up! I am pissed she needs to be held accountable. There is nothing wrong with me ensuring I don't get late fees since no one ever told me to provide an email, had I known that I simply would have given it in order to pay without extra charges! SHE NEEDS TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR HER RUDE MANNERISM! I will follow up to ensure she doesn't do it again!
Jill was very nice and helpful. She made sure i had what i needed. She made sure i had the size i needed to accommodate what i had
Great service, friendly demeanor.
Thanks to Z we got in to and out of the location out much hassle, easy access to dumpsters, no hassle pay off, friendly service from all staff we talked to.
Overall satisfactory experience.
After a whole year of having a storage unit I found a rat in my unit today. I'm incredibly disgusted.
I was helped promptly, I was escorted to the unit before purchasing, all of my questions were answered
That's what it fells like walking into Public Storage in Wayne, New Jersey; a home away from home and the staff is your extended Family.
Ashley was on duty, and even though she felt under the weather, she greeted us with a lovely smile. She took her time and explained the entire procedure, asking pertinent questions to determine the amount of space we needed for our furniture and belongings. She then took us to see the unit at the same time giving us a mini tour of the facility. She showed us 2 different sized units, of which we decided to rent the larger of the two. We filled out the necessary paperwork, made our payment, were then given the gate codes and our keys, and were on our way. By far the best first impression and business professionalism seen in a long time. Ashley is one in a million. I know my worldly possessions are stored away safely at Public Storage, property #*******
Amanda and her orientees were pleasant and accommodating and made my decision to rent an easy one. All my questions and concerns were answered.
Went to public storage the location on spring cypress were I received the best customer service by ms Kandi the property was every clean and she was very nice.
Not a bad storage unit if you can accept the extreme rent hike. Approximately 40 percent increase in 2 years
