The prices at 401/ and Markham is like rending a room. $307 for a 10 x10. Plus 16 dollar a special lock that you have to buy and no where else you can use. That is not it. Let me tell you about access to the storage rules:
You have access from 5 am to 10 pm. you are given a code to open the gate. I entered to the premises at 9:30 pm. Another guy was also there unloading hiss stuff. When I tried to exit it was perhaps, a few miniatures after 10 pm. The gate did not open and we all got stuck in a freezing cold of Canada. The screen of the key pad was saying " late exit contact site manager". Was there any emergency number listed anywhere? No. The general number was taking message. We called the police as a last resource and was told they could not help.
We had to leave out cars and come back after 5 am.
Interestingly, I called the local manager to give feedback. She got defensive telling me she told me the access was until 10 pm. Nowhere and no one told me, or the other person you will get stuck if not leave before 10 pm. That is an absolute unsafe practice. What if someone gets hurt or has a medical emergency. An emergency after hours number does not cost with the price you rent a unit.

A picture is worth a thousand words... Please see the pictures I included. We have found both live and dead rodents. The rodents have left excrement all over our possessions. There is a restaurant on the side of the storage unit, so I don't see this issue changing. No matter what extenuating attempts are made. Not that I would count on management taking any drastic measures. They always collect the money. Even if it is for storing a major health risk.
This building is every well kept the service here is excellent they are very polite and well mannered. And they actually work with you and not Against you

Jackson Michigan Awful... plus your rates have Increased. I recently vacated a storage unit, and I was charged 49. For 2 days! When I initially acquired my unit, it was pouring rain, I reserved a unit for easy access. When I arrived I had to wait an hour in the pouring rain for the mangr. To come and remove one of their locks and they gave me an inside unit, not what I reserved. It was hard on me as I'm disabled. THE unit was not climate controlled and she sold me a used padlock. I inquired about prorate reimbursement and she said they didnt do that. So I paid a full amount for 2 days! Worst experience ever with Public Storage. Still like to know how she put rat poison in my unit without a key! Also, why cant I have a pro-rated refund?!
I haven't yet used my unit. But I have to say Chelsea was great. I would recommend this storage to my family and friends
Ihad agreat exoerience with connie. She explained, showed and was very friendly an understanding! She is a great employee. I have had a unit of Public Storage in Boca Raton for 25 years andhave never had this service, only notifications of ret increase. I havechecked with other people that have rented in Boca at half of what I pay, however, whenI have discussed this tha have said that severyone gets the same rates and these are nonegotiable regardless of tme. So thanks for having a Connie that was very nice and efficient.

Your enticing promotional rate is just something you get in. After that you will get email from them that your rent increases. Started with online promotional $110.00, after 3 months went up to $160.00, after 6 months May 2019 increases now to $204.00. And don't wait 30 days to pay they will change your lock and set a date for auctioning your stuff. One star is for customer service, otherwise this company is totally ripping people left and right. Your insurance only covered $3,000, and lots of stuff not covered. DO not Rent from this company.
Jamie helped me sign up for a unit on 4-28-19. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and polite. She works fast and asks enough questions to give good advice. I signed up and bought the right supplies to enable me to quickly get started on my moving-storage project. Jamie is a strong asset to Topeka Public Storage.
Karen & Lynn allowed my to walk in w/ out a reservation, provided excellent service w / in minutes that meets all my storage needs w professional friendliness. Storage units have security code for entrance/ exit & staff protects your privacy regarding access to acct... 5 stars! To staff!
