I rented a unit on 10th Street in Deer Field Beach Florida in March 2019 to store my new wifes things. Rate $115 for 1 year, 4 months later rate $147, tried to get answers no returned calls, now add late fee $25, told to move to a smaller unit cheaper rate $99 wife flew to florida $300 to move to the smaller unit as instructed new rate $153. This company is set up to rob from it's customers and has absolutely no customer service your only option is to move your things or sell them. DO Not Use Public Storage For Anything.
THE WORST COMPANY AND THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ONE CAN GET! Dismissive and obnoxious, rude and then talking down on a customer... I called in numerous occasions to let them know I no longer needed the unit. They indicated I talk to the unit manager. Had to get a two-hour ride to personally go and talk to him so that I would not have to deal with problems later. I followed instruction and even turned over the keys to my unit to the unit manager. Then they started billing me for fees I did not owe. I explained over and over that I had followed their instuctions and went to talk to the unit manager in person to turn over the unit and the keys. Nothing. Now they are up billing me for September when I no longer use the unit since July. As soon as I complained and asked questions the customer service woman started cutting me off and would not let me get a word out. Then she told me "I have other customers I have to attend, not just you,..." then she hunged up on me. Who does that? It speaks of an inability to handle customers properly and lack of training... I will be writing multiple negative reviews based on my experience so that people can know what they are getting into before they waste money, valuable time and energy! NO STAR RATING!
Sam and Pamela explained everything thoroughly for me and are very nice people. They both stayed late to ensure I could move in y/d. Not once did I feel rushed. Great team, great staff and great location.

Shawn and Charlie have been so kind and helpful! I was in a situation that was out of my control and needed storage the same day and they got me into a unit immediately. They both knew I was feeling frazzled and Shawn came to check on me during my move in, and Charlie helped me out with the special new lock I needed. I highly recommend the Walled Lake, MI location.
I was told one price when I call in the day before I was very specific that I was driving from out of town etc etc and was told one price when o get to the unit the next day lady was telling me a different price was also obligating me to get there stupid insurance and there stupid locks for like 3 times the price at any other store very bad service period 5201 Dixie Highway, *******-3008

It's a very nice clean and friendly place Alexis was very helpful and smiled through the process with the perfect unit. She was very informative about the service process as well. I would recommend this company to all of my friends and family.
I moved 30 miles away from my my public storage unit last Oct 2018, and I've had to travel back every month to pay my bill because of an online problem with my email account that was set up when I got my storage unit. I could never pay my bill on line and had to pay it in person. Many months I would end up paying lots of late fees because I don't drive and I could not get back to my storage unit to pay my bill on time. This month I got a case worker and she drove me to a closer public storage where I could pay my bill. We went to the Coon Rapids Public Storage. Erika and her crew are my heros! Erika fixed my problem in 5 minutes! The other storage crew told me for months that there was nothing they could do to help me with my online email problem. I tried location my storage Well, THANK GOD IN HEAVEN FOR ERIKA! One visit to the right place and to talk to the right person made my life so much much lighter! She fixed my entire problem not only by fixing my email, but also, she listened to me and offered a simple solution to help me save money. Thank you so so much Erika! You deserve a BIG PROMOTION! GOD BLESS YOU 10 FOLD FOR YOUR GOLDEN HEART!

Would like to recommend Public Storage on Dorchester Rd in Summerville. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Dawn. She is always upbeat and happy to see you. The storage space is very clean and well kept.

I rented a unit on March 6th, 2019. I received notice that at the 6 month point the rent amount was going up. I took the option of leaving the facility. I checked out and received a "check-out date" receipt dated August 6th, 2019. On August 3rd there was an automatic payment withdrawn from my account. I called to find out how much of that payment would be returned to me through a prorated system. Public Storage informed me they do not prorate returns. I would understand not getting anything back if I had 4 days left to the month but I was on the 1st day of the billing period. That is robbery. I would not recommend to anybody or would I ever go back to Public Storage unless I am compensated. When or if I am compensated I will withdraw my comment and change my rating. In the mean time I am leaving reviews everywhere I can to inform as many people as I can.
I love the attention that people show here and are concerned with their customers questions. Very pleasant atmosphere, and wonderful staff who was a beautiful blessing. Thank you and I loved the location the safety, and the success of keeping my items safe and climate controls. Down to earth and a hard worker who knows her stuff. Great management. I rate excellent service for her and public storage.
