Found I was getting charged every month for the volume plan. I thought I had only signed up for the $1 option for a certain address. Chat person was very helpful in canceling my account and arranged refunding the money paid for the volume plan. Thanks for your help in fixing this!
In August 2024 I purchased a $1 one-time report for an address to begin handling the estate of my father who died the previous month.
Subsequently Propertyrec.com began billing me $20 per month on August 23,2024 and then monthly until February 2025 when I received a fraud alert from the bank. Apparently I was signed up for a $20 monthly volume discount for which the user interface at PropertyRecs.com does not disclose when purchasing a single report for the reasonable $1 fee.
I did not wittingly sign up for a monthly subscription.
When I discovered the fraudulent charges in February 2025 and requested a refund of the overcharges for August 2024 through January 2025, the customer service representative on the chat was very responsive. Sarah refunded the fraudulently charged $120 immediately and confirmed my account was closed. She even provided the confirmation number. The customer service was excellent and prompt. It made me conclude this is a common experience they will address when requested.
