I've had some good sellers offering legit products but investigate before buying. The items listed with multiple sizes, are items purchased from cheap China based companies that the seller is listing for 3 times the cost. Most can be found on Alibaba, Shein or Temu at a very cheap price and horrible quality.
I bought this size M Nike thermafit shirt and it didn't fit, even tho I've bought the same size and brand before that did fit. Also said it was black, but it was really a black background with writing on it. AND they wouldn't accept it back as a return, although they say they will accept returns. This site is a RIPOFF!
I was a 5 star seller on PM for a few years. I'm a buyer as well. All of my purchases went well. I was happy. As a seller, you are at their mercy and have zero say in any matter. I had an item listed that sold. The buyer claimed it was counterfeit. It 100% was not counterfeit. I would never do that! The buyer was a new PM member. Only a month. They had zero transactions. Poshmark sided with the buyer even though i immediately sent emails with all explanation, photos, documentation. They sided with the buyer immediately. The buyer was allowed to return the item for a full refund. I could care less about the money. It's the principal. I even wrote that in my notes and comments to the buyer. I did say please feel free to return the item for a full refund. BUT do not accuse me of selling counterfeit items when I clearly was not. It wasn't even questionable.
I even asked Poshmark to turn it over to their legal department. That's because I am 100% positive. It is not counterfeit. I have had so many reviews now about the same problem with Poshmark.
I can't be associated with a fraudulent company like this, so I am closing my account with Poshmark.
I made several online purchases from different sellers so this review is not of a particular seller merchant but as Poshmark as a whole.
Unprofessional Sellers:
They have little to no qualifications for people to sell on their marketplace and also take no responsibility if a merchant on their site sells fake goods and/or items that do not match the listing on their website.
No Accountability For Orders:
There is also little to no professionalism wrt communication with sellers about the status on an order and they are not help responsible if the purchased item is even shipped out.
Update:
Since this company was acquired, they've been a ghost of their prior selves.
I did purchase a pair of British walkers from Poshmark and never received the shoes. They did refund the money but a total waste of my time. Never again for Poshmark...
POSHMARK is more like a scam platform, they trapped you enter your credit card and all the confidential inforamtion, after, they will do whatever they could to block you go through the order placing, announced you are fraud buyer etc... I just simply want to buy sth from there it is really ABNORMAL that no matter whatever I've tried, I have no way to go through it, then all of suddent I realized there is NO actual "seller" exist, but just attract you to enter your " credit card ", which was required at the very beginning before the order been placed. So, do NOT waste your time, be away from POSHMARK, as far as possible!
On Oct 10,2023 I was charged $36.80 for Vigoss jeans which never arrived from vendor *******740CA whoever that is. Impossible to get in touch with vendor. Judy A. Smith Austin Tx. *******967.
I'm a seller on Poshmark since 2013. I have also been a buyer since I started on the platform. Sad how people rate (mostly buyers) a platform they did not even care to read its policies before buying! Poshmark is an excellent source for clothing, shoes, accessories, etc., for all family members, even pets. You can find even NWT items at discounted prices.
There are sellers who do Poshmark 24/7 as it is their main source of income, and then there are sellers who do it only to cleanup space, as a hobby, etc. (these are the smallest closets).
If you are planning to buy on Poshmark, please read the policies for buying. If you plan to start selling, read all policies. I recommend you join Poshmark groups on FB where you can learn from other sellers, ask about the policies in case you read something you need more clarity about, learn what are the grounds for returns, how refunds work, etc

Very unhappy with CS. As a seller and as a buyer, one only gets auto-response and takes up to 2 days to barely get a real answer. Taking 20% is a big chunk of my earnings. It is the site that takes the most and gives less to its members.
I been in Poshmark for about 8 years, im a seller and Buyer, in general I LOVE Poshmark. Best platform for even Buy or sell.
I have recently made 4 separate purchases from Poshmark however 3 of those were cancelled and refunded. Two failed to ship the purchased items as required and another one failed to remove an item that had already been purchased. I commend Poshmark for their customer service but after my recent experiences, I find the sellers totally unreliable. I probably will not be making any more purchases from Poshmark and will not be recommending it to anyone.
My son sold a Canadian Goose sweater. The buyer claimed it was not authentic, which it is. My son is out is money and the sweater! What a joke of a company!
I gave poshmark a chance because a trusted friend recommended the site to me.
BUYERS:
The shopping experience is terrible on the site. There is no uniformity in listings so you have to try searching by different keywords and labels if you are looking for a specific item because the sellers may not properly list the item.
The seller is in control on this platform. When you submit offers, instead of declining, they will just let the offer expire and now you've waited 24 hours for nothing. When you do purchase something, the seller can take their sweet time shipping. They literally give them up to a week to just mark the item shipped. The sellers are full of excuses as to why they couldn't ship within a couple days.
Sellers also don't take pride in their product. I have received items with residual white stains all over them and dog, cat, and people hair. One item even came with a caterpillar… I provide sellers private feedback and one told me that she had two dogs so there was only "so much" she could do to not send things with any hair. But you're a "small business owner". Right?
Also, I have had sellers have no clue what they're actually selling (I attribute this to thrift
-flip culture). They list items incorrectly and there is no way to tell until it arrives.
If you do have an issue with an item and are requesting a return, Poshmark forces you into confrontation with the seller and now you're having awkward dialogue and none of the sellers actually want to allow you to return their items. I am fortunate that when I've had issues, I was given the chance to return them.
As mentioned there are sellers who are price gouging and charging full price and even then some for their items.
SELLERS:
There are plenty of other sites that you can resale on that won't take 20% of your sale. Try those out.
When buying think of hoarders, think of Kristen's closet aka shop4mysupper supper. Tic tok tic tok Cat Hoarder, clothing, etc stinks of cat piss, these people live like pigs, garbage pickers. Another winner HaH on poshmark crap site. Posh you suck, your return policy sucks, customer service sucks, this seller sucks. Probably the only good she does is suck it. Condescending witch. Hard up for money~Let get together & talk about me screwing you buyers over!
Posh is a joke, crazy weird site. This seller (Always choose Joy) is a total wacko, look at her photo. Sold me a lot of toy figurines, everything was broken, missing parts, not working & marked up with crayons. She sells garbage! I just wanted to return for a refund, posh took weeks to resolve the matter, then refunded me, but also rewarded this seller by paying her for junk items, not as described, plus her bad behavior addressing the customer rudely in the messages. Bad experience & buyers refunded are not able to leave a review for lousy sellers? BS
I had a bad experience first with a scam artist on Poshmark,as a buyer, then with Poshmark themselves! Poshmark protects scammers by not being transparent with feedback, as you can only leave positive feedback after accepting a item! And if you never recieve the item?! To bad so sad! All the feedback on Poshmark is less that accurate, buyers have no idea who they are REALLY buying from! Nothing like getting scammed, then having 0 customer service( called + emailed 6 times, 0 communications)...just like there garbage sellers! A seller can make 15 copies of a item for sale, scam everyone, and the seller is fully allowed to continue to scam away, as there is no recourse taken! What a great experience for your buyers, I will take my money elsewhere! Disgusted
I wish I could give less than a 1 star. Their customer service was rude and dismissive and were unwilling to work with me regarding a suspected counterfeit item. I deleted app and will be using The Real Real. TRR customer service is superb!
I purchased a dress that turned out to be altered. I have accepted an item without noticing it at first. 2 days later I contacted seller and they agreed to accept return, but when I submitted claim through Poshmark I was told that I was out of 72hour window and the sale is final. "our of courtesy" they gave me some Posh credits... There is no phone number to call, all communication is through email and they simply stopped responding. It blows my mind that selling platform cannot accommodate return request when BOTH parties (seller and buyer) are willing to proceed.
Purchased two pair of Gucci shoes. Have had toenail fungus because of the shoes. Never again. Using meds for a second year now. Stay away. Is not the company, is the used shoes that were in good shape. I will now buy directly from Gucci, money or not.
I unfortunately spent 100$ on junk from a live show *******@monkeybutz
And Poshmark was no help at all. She sells stuff in a very dimly lit shed and I wanted to return two items that looked like she dug it out of the trash. Clearly Poshmark is more concerned with saving the seller who they make money off than the satisfaction of new customers! Not to mention they just send you a message saying nope not going to refund you and that's it. No one you can talk to directly. I completely understand why there are so many bad reviews. Don't waste your time on this Mikey mouse operation that doesn't even have a call center!
I purchased five sweaters and a coat on Poshmark from one seller. I did do vetting by looking at the seller's comments and pictures. I also did my own price comparison. I didn't go in trying to get sweaters at 10 to 15% of their tag price either, though, because I wanted items that looked new. The seller offered 15% off for bundling and I asked for an additional 15% off when making an offer. Seller accepted and shipped my items four business days later. Every item came in as described by condition and size.
Advice for buyers: Poshmark is not for finding bargains. It's just getting discounts on clothing. Make sure you get pictures of every angle of your item, look at seller's reviews, and be prepared to wait up to 5 business days for an item to ship (and 2-3 more to receive).
Looks like many people have had problems and the government needs to stop this company to falsely sell knockoffs bags and items.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
