I started with Poshmark in 2018 may be. Price's were reasonable. Now they are ridiculous. I can buy from the store for those prices.

No buyer protection
August 1, 2023

I purchased a dress, Lilly Pulitzer. It was stated as worn in good condition. It was certainly not! I compared it to tge exact size and style I already owned and found ot was very stretched out. I wrote to the seller stating this. I said I wouks wash it on delicate to see if that fixed the problem. No word from seller.
I did this and I thought it resolved the ussue. So I went through with the purchase. The next day I put it on. You wouldn't think it was rhe same as my other Lilly dress! Fit was horrible. Very worn and stretched. So I looked into returning it. But no. I pressed buy and no recourse. So now I'm stuck with it.
Worse yet, the seller said I must not be familiar with the brand! Of which I have many things and have been buying direct for years. And because I washed it, the sale was done. I was up front and honest with Leslie Duryea, the seller, and all she did was berate me.
I complained directly to Poshmark customer service. They could and wouldn't do anything but give me $10 in my account for a future purchase.
Heck no! I'll not buy from Poshmark and certainly not this Leslie person again. I do not recommend either.

No Deposit of Funds
July 31, 2023

My Grandaughter has an account with Poshmark having good results. I had some items to sell so she set me up. I made 2 sells totaling $52.00 and in Oct. 2021 they said they deposited my Funds into my account selected however, my Bank said they seen where they attempted however, did not deposit any money. Now this may not be a lot of $$ but when there's a lot of other's who have had the same experience it adds up to a lot of $$$. I tried contacting them via Email, on the website and calling. Can't get anyone to respond other than Customer Support who is no help.Still no funds. I have not attempted to sell anything else on their website. Also there are lots of other complaints from other Sellers who haven't gotten their money or assistance in getting it. I failed to research taking my Grandaughters word as she hasn't had any issues. But I will never sell another thing on there website and encourage others to do the same.

I just opened an account today and sold n high end designer purse. The seller said transaction wouldn't go through so I contacted Poshmark and was advised I had to deposit 200. The seller then sent me the money but I got an email from Poshmark I had to deposit an additional $999! WTH? Said it would be refunded but if I had 999 to spare, I wouldn't be selling here!1

I simply wanted to sell some new men's pants. They don't explain how to list more than one item. I figured I would write in the body of the description we had 5 for sale at X amount each. My listing was "flagged" and I never got feedback, despite waiting for an email for almost a week. Useless. Looking for another platform.

Poshmark will mess with your money and then block you when you ask for help. No one on customer support is nice or informative. All I was told was lies. The company is a complete joke and WILL scam you. Don't ever trust them. Just over all ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I would not recommend to ANYONE. I would give negative stars if I could. Waste of time and energy.

This review is about the business model of Poshmark. I recently watched some YouTube videos of people who sell on Poshmark giving expert advice on how to source items to resell and what and how to price. So basically they run around to all of the thrift stores and consignment stores, buy up anything good, and raise the price by at least double and then again to cover the PM fee and shipping discount.
I had a $10 skirt listed that I had already paid 2x for on PM and just wanted it gone. Someone offered me $7. I would have made $4 plus I would have had to pack and mail it. I went to the offerer's page and she had a large store with items priced triple what I was asking for this skirt. I think my item was going to be repriced and resold. As an experienced Posher she would have known what my profit margin was. I called her out on it and her response was that it was a business economy and nothing personal.
The point of this is that anyone who buys their clothing second hand and hopes to find something good at a reasonable price has to compete with the greedy resellers. I now understand why a jacket that may be $12 at the goodwill is $40 on Poshmark.
The business model has changed from a way to sell your unwanted clothing and purchase mistakes to a whole army of resellers making sure no one gets a bargain. I'm not saying you still can't find a deal but I wonder how long that is going to last.
In addition, if you happen to receive an item mis-sized, damaged, or misrepresented, good luck trying to return it. Sellers will fight tooth and nail to not get an item back. Unless you can provide proof you are stuck with it. There are no consequences for sellers who misrepresent because there is no rating system that anyone but the seller sees. The only consequence is they may get the item back. If you try to resell it on Poshmark you will have to price it double just to break even. Your mistakes will get expensive.
This is my take as someone who has been buying and selling on Poshmark for several years now. I have a pile of expensive unwanted shoes and clothing that I will have to sell at a loss to get rid of and it will still not be a bargain for a buyer.

Not sure why all the complaints, I have purchased numerous things on Poshmark and haven't had any trouble, Funds are not released to the seller until you have received your purchase and you are happy with it, I still purchase items on PoshMark. No complaints.

Fake news!
July 25, 2023

They are allowing people to peddle " replica" items such as Louie Vitton and Rolex watches and these sellers are failing to tell you they are fakes, what is Poshmark doing to monitor this?, uh nothing!
Stay away from the site. People should be aware of the fact that this bunch is located where? Snowflake Valley Cal.

Do not download poshmark. I wish there was an option for no stars. Horrible unpleasant customer service. They don't care to be kind & welcoming nor solve problems. No customer service phone #. They allow "sellers" to get away with robbing from you. Don't spend a penny on anything poshmark. After years of buying & selling, being an ambassador & awesome selling reviews from my buyers, I'm happy & free to leave a toxic app. There's WAY BETTER out there! KARMA.

I purchased an item on Poshmark, I didn't use the Poshmark App, but just the Poshmark website.
The Item I purchased and paid for, arrived fairly fast.
Upon opening the package, I realized that I didn't want the item.
The item was a ballcap, but it had Advertising printed on it, which I didn't see when I purchased it, and I wanted to Return it.
I Contacted Poshmark Support via Email (There is No Phone Number, Everything has to be Done by Email)
In order to get a Refund or to Return an item, the record of a purchase has to be located on Poshmark!
I couldn't find where I purchased the item on Poshmark!
I Contacted Customer Support about this, and after 4 days Nothing has been Done!
I submitted the Order number, the CC receipt where I paid for the item and proof of USPS delivery! Still Nothing
All I get is Useless information on how to start a Return Request, which I've Done!
I've got Emails from Poshmark claiming they can't find the Order number, that they sent Me, when I purchased the item!. I Don't know if I'll ever be able to Return this or if I'll be Stuck with It!
Buyers Beware of Poshmark!

Unfair to buyers who are at the whim of sellers to defraud by late shipping and inaccurate descriptions. Then giving the buyers a very limited window to file a return.

I was a seller on Poshmark for almost 4 years. It was a hobby and I never had any issues with buying, selling or with the company until last fall when it was bought by a foreign company.
I accidentally made a mistake while changing my email and contacted the customer service people to help me. I was locked out of my account for 3 days for no reason or explanation. When I was able to get into my account I wasn't able to buy or sell. I couldn't even BUY with a credit card.
Poshmark doesn't have phone for contacting someone, only a form to fill out from their app.
It's been almost a month now and I still can't perform any action on my account so I've deleted all my merchandise. I still can't buy anything or heard one word from the service center.
I advise you, from my experience, to seek other re sell sites. Poshmark's commission is 20% of every sale or $3 for any item less than $15.
There is no other option for shipping aside from USPS 2 day for the buyer. That's $7.97 and will go up again as postal rates are increasing. If your item sold is over 5 pounds, like a coat, the extra postage comes out of your proceeds. Paying extra postage can eat up your profit fast.
It's too bad Poshmark has turned into this and I'm sad I'm no longer doing business there, but if this is their business model, forget it.

Ordered Chanel earrings from Poshmark for $2500 that I thought would be accurately authenticated. I own a lot of other Chanel items and work closely with my SA at Chanel. Once the earrings arrived, I already had speculation due to the engraving. My sales person confirmed they were not authentic. Today I saw a side-by-side comparison of the real ones versus the ones I purchase from Poshmark that are fake.
I would like to return these fake earrings and receive a full refund.
Poshmark has a reputation for authenticating fake items per other buyers that I am just becoming aware of. It's sickening to know a person is spending this amount of money and they are either working alongside the sellers in authenticating fake items or do not have the properly trained staff to authenticate.

I purchased a wallet on 7/2. Shipped on 7/3. To date I have not received the wallet. I contacted Poshmark 3 times for help. I was finally sent to Howly to help me resolve the issue. Howly is just as bad as they wanted payment before they would assist me. So, I've been scammed twice.
Buyer beware! Do not use Poshmark!

Very disappointing
July 18, 2023

I got the ads for Poshmark in the UK, so I thought I try it and put a few of my items up, all of a sudden one person (goes under the name of cricketsteps posts 2 comments, literally the same on 2 different items:

"Hi, this might be what I was looking for. I have an еmаіІ in my bio(info), please send me pictures because for some reason one picture shows here. Thank you "

I politely told her that there are 8 pictures and they are all visible, she continues to push for me to send them to her email, I declined and said I want to keep things within the platform, because a quick google revealed that this is what scammers usually do, one look at her profile shows she is in Texas, I am in the UK...

Next thing I know, my wardrobe is empty, nothing there, I can't list, I should reach out to customer support, I have done so several times, no reply... A week later, but they claim they reply within 24 hours...

HORRIBLE
July 17, 2023

All my listings were wiped out, without notice or any explanation. I contacted their "customer service" which doesn't even seem to exist, and they never responded.

As a buyer, I have purchased 2 items over the last year that were "guaranteed " to be authentic and were not and I had to go through a lengthy process to get a refund.

Check out the reviews: 1.3 stars with so many negative reviews.

Don't waste your time.
Plenty other platforms to buy and sell.
