I thought i'd give them a shot and see how my stuff would sell on their platform, yes i was fully aware of the outrageous fees that they have. Mid posting my shirts that I make, they took down my 'closet'. I tried emailing them a couple times, the only response i got was telling me that i was attempting to sell counterfeit shirts...they're literally gildan shirts that i put my own logo that I made. But, whatever. Poshmark looks like it gets sh*t reviews as is.
I stayed up last night taking pictures of 3 clothing items and entering good descriptions for each item. I posted a pair of brand new never worn Born brand suede boots. I woke up this morning to read an email that they had removed my listings because the Born boots are a counterfeit item! I'm so upset and insulted. I tried to remove my page and be done with Poshmark but it won't allow me to delete my 'closet' as they call it.
I was a seller on Poshmark and an unauthorized purchase was made on my account and they sided with the seller! They are the most unprofessional unethical people I have ever seen! I will never shop on their website ever again! The purchase was a hideous 3X sweater that no one in there right mind would wear. Stay clear of Poshmark they allow a lot of fake items to be sold.
I ordered some boots.after waiting longer than a week I got on the website to see what was what. It was canceled and a email was sent saying I would be refunded I never was and the email was deleted...they hacked into my email somehow. This evil needs to be in prison
Poshmark is a platform used by scammers to steal from the public. That is the bottom line. Buyer beware! I tried buying two items, both were fraudulently described and the size was marked incorrect. They were a rayon material that had been shrunk due to poor care and then sold at original size. One item even came crumpled and smelly. This is just a scam platform for desperate sellers trying to make a buck off of throw away quality merchandise.
No response when I attempted 5 times to contact customer service. Received item and immediately contacted Poshmark. No resoonse
Seller BEWARE. I put two handbags for sale and within minutes I had four buyers who turned out to be scammers. I was approached by a supposed employee of Poshmark showing their photo and employee badge that wanted my ss#, drivers license and wanted me to get a $200 gift card to give Poshmark before they would allow buyers to pay. Because I wouldn't give my ss# the phisher wiped out my account history. It was a nightmare. No help from Poshmark when I reached out to them. I canceled my membership. There are real problems with Poshmark.
I'm not thrilled to shop on any e-commerce website that does not provide phone support (or at least real-time online chat). Poshmark has a "contact us" via email and the user can expect to wait approximately 2 days for a response.
There are a few Poshmark sellers claiming that replica Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Dior bags are authentic but are NOT. I purchased a LV bag that was noted as being "authentic", and in great condition. The images used in the Poshmark listing made the bag appear to be in amazing condition. Turns out, the images were swiped from the luxury bag reseller, Fashionphile, and the bag in their images was in excellent condition...the bag from Poshmark was in poor to average condition (well worn, scratched, w deep red staining all over the interior), and I seriously question the authenticity of the bag itself.
So, time was spent taking pics of the bag, uploading, being asked by PM to take MORE pics of the bag, uploading, waiting for a response... and finally getting the OK to return the bag to the seller. Buyers are forced to PROVE why a bag is in bad condition or inauthentic and who has time for all that?! Not sure when the refund will be processed.
Sellers shouldn't be allowed to misrepresent luxury bags and they definitely shouldn't be allowed to use other websites' images of authentic, excellent-condition bags (and pass off their own sketchy bag as the excellent-condition bag).
But this type of thing can't (probably won't ever be) monitored as it should be when customer support at Poshmark is not as hands-on as users would like. It appears that Poshmark takes the word of the seller that a bag is in good condition or "authentic" and that translates into buyers getting duped (and having to jump through hoops to get the authorization to return the bag).
I've purchased a few newborn baby clothes on Poshmark and overall had good experiences but buying luxury handbags is a whole different story! I see Sitejabber has an alert banner, noting that Poshmark has a more than typical amount of negative reviews and may be considered to be a SCAM. I wouldn't go that far. Poshmark is eBay-esque without the customer service Live and learn!
Ordered item paid for item. Received receipt for item and notified item ready to ship then while waiting for delivery almost two weeks later received email seller cancelled order. This seller continues to sell items after excepted my offer. I don't recommend using poshmark. Can't depend on sellers. My opinion
I purchased a stuffed animal from Poshmark. I was sent from Kohls site to Poshmark, unfortunately. It came stuffed in a postal envelope, was smaller than expected and not worth the price I paid. I didn't know it would be used, either, so just take your kids toys and sell them for $20.each or more?
Thank you Evelyn Spears! Wonderful prompt and loving service. Thank you for the beautiful yellow jacket that was so nicely packaged. It is beautiful and the price was amazing.
Blessing,
Kim Hartt
Yesterday I tried to purchase a pair of tennis at the Poshmark site, which directed me to register and sign up! I had tried three times with two browsers, Window11 and the New Google, everyone was a failure. This site either has a bad webmaster or SIMPLY DISCRIMINATES AGAINST PARTIES, noting that the site had a SPY-SCANNER simultaniously checking my personal computer without consent! Is that a federal crime?
After I placed my order with MODEREUROBTQUE, they came back, mind you AFTER THEY CHARGED MY $111, and told me the item I ordered was sold previously. Offered my a different item, I said no, stated I wanted a refund. They communicated for a week, them BAM...CRICKETS. They will not reply to my messages...I hate dishonesty. I work hard for my money, not that this was a ton, but it's the principle. I will never use Poshmark again. So disappointed.
And a website that is useless. No way to reach out to the seller.Support requests ususally begin with "Hi there. Thank you for reaching out to Poshmark." And no response after that.
I did not purchase anything, but it was delivered and charged anyway.
Terrible platform with terrible customer service - BE VERY WARY - they are not helpful and allow sellers to misrepresent items being sold and won't refund you or take care of their customers if a misrepresented item was sold. SHOCKED at how horrible the experience is with them - don't waste your time or money - much better platforms out there!
I bought a costly item. It did not look like the pictures the seller posted when it arrived. I immediately reached out to Poshmark for a return. After following all the return steps, I was denied the return and stuck with an Item that looked nothing like the photo, and it was not what I wanted. You are not protected by Poshmark! DO NOT BUY HERE! Not worth the risk.
I shipped a carry-on luggage and about an hour after marking it shipped, Poshmark cancelled the order. I cannot stop USPS, e-mailed Poshmark and no response. I lost my luggage and extra cost for the shipping.
Poshmark has had a "brilliant idea" recently: charge us a weekly fee to have more visibility on the site as well as only giving visibility to sellers who do live or silent live posh shows. For those of us that don't want to have to go through a dog and pony show if we want people to see items or to have to feel like we need ro "perform" in order to sell or to PAY to swell ON TOP of Poshmark's ridiculous TWENTY PERCENT COMMISSION that they take on literally every sale we make, it feels pretty crappy. So I am now unfollowing ANYONE who fills my feed with their stupid posh shows and am considering dumping my closet altogether despite the fact that it has made me a lot of money over the five or so years I have sold there. I refuse to pay MORE to sell on this cash grab of an app and I would highly advise you to do the same. You can see from my screenshots both how long I've been a member and all the posh shows that clutter my feed these days.
Bought a pair of shoes marked new, unused. They looked nice in the picture and the same exact brand and style I was replacing that were worn out. The shoes I bought arrived and sat on my porch for 1 day while we were out of town. Arrived next night and brought inside. That 3rd morning I opened and tried them on and the right shoe fit perfect and looked great, but the left was like it belonged to another smaller shoe. It was about 1/2 dive shorter and super narrow and smashed, almost curved. Definitely seem like a defective shoe, which probably made the whole pair defective and I'm guessing the reason why they were for sale on Poshmark to begin with. Had I bought them on eBay no problem, but I've been returned and got my money back, and a seller like that would not be selling very long on eBay. Unfortunately, I was very naïve and bought from Poshmark when I found a pair I was looking for. I reached out to the seller on that third day and no response that evening I reached out to Poshmark, which was still within the three day period that they require you to reach out to them with any problems. They immediately responded and asked for more information, order number, etc., which I sent. Still no response so on the fourth day I sent another message. This time they responded and said oops too late already release the money to the seller. What a scam! That was a $90 mistake. Can't donate a defective pair and so they are just garbage.
I listed a Gucci purse for sale on Poshmark. I received an email saying that they removed my listing because it's counterfeit and to remove any other counterfeit listings I have on their site! The purse is not counterfeit and I resent the fact that they sent that email rather than asking me to provide proof of its authenticity. What a way to do business!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
