Recently we were lucky enough to experience our dream of sailing around the Whitsunday Islands. We chose Portland Roads for their offer of a Platinum Package on a luxury boat. This included a brilliant menu and drinks package which suited us down to the ground. All meals were cooked and served to us by our wonderful chef "our skipper ". We certainly were not disappointed, the meals were amazing and we were spoilt rotten. I have a food allergy which is always a concern when I go on holidays but it was 100% catered for in all my meals which was a great relief. Nothing was too much trouble for our skipper who presented us with a 5 star service. He served us champagne at sunset on the deck, took us to the most secluded lovely little spots around the islands for our overnight stays, took us to the best snorkelling spots (hand feeding the Angel fish was amazing). We always felt we were in safe hands with our skipper so it was easy to sit back relax and enjoy. Definintely a holiday to remember and would love to do it all over again with Portland Roads.

We arrived at Abell Point Marina mid-afternoon and were welcomed by Mike & Ruby who were both very accommodating. My husband & I have never done bareboating/sailing before and must admit we were a little worried but Mike made us feel comfortable and assured us everything will be fine. He was thorough with his instructions on how to operate the boat and kept us updated of the weather conditions etc everyday. The boat has tons of space and very well maintained. Absolutely loved the outdoor dining, the deck and the BBQ! Food has never tasted so good until you've tried it off the BBQ on the back of the boat. My husband even cooked for the first time in about 5 years. The kitchen is fully equipped and with ample fridge/freezer space. Our bed was comfortable. Pillows were great! Portland Roads has everything we needed - we couldn't help but have an awesome time! We had the most amazing time hopping from one island to another. We sailed, snorkeled and explored little coves near where we were anchored or moored in for the night. So many marine life encounters - dolphins, sting rays, turtles to name a few. Truly a delight for someone like us who love outdoors, photography and just being with nature. The Whitsundays is a phenomenal destination that must be seen this way and must be on everyone's bucket list. I highly recommend this trip with Portland Roads to anyone seeking an experience of a lifetime. It's simply one of those experiences we will never forget! Special thanks to John for making this trip smooth and easy - from the time we booked til the time we got back.

What a trip! A few days on "Ruby Sunday" in July will certainly be a trip to be remembered. Good sailing weather and whale sighting after whale sighting was a real treat. The whole experience from the minute we booked online, the corespondence leading up to our trip, and our face-to-face briefing was very reassuring and made us even more excited. You couldn't help but catch the enthusiasm from Portland Roads staff through the emails and phone calls. Everything was pretty simple. We just had to grab our supplies and then get briefed. After that it was smooth sailing for the whole time. Can't wait to get back next year!

Ruby Sunday and Skipper John gave us a trip of a lifetime. Our week onboard was filled with adventure, sunshine, snorkelling, sailing and bloody great fun. We can't express enough gratitude to John and his constant professionalism, supportive guidance, daily feasts, humour and confidence in our new boating skills. He is a total legend and we can't wait to get our sea-legs back again and return to the beautiful Whitsundays with Portland Roads.

ABSOLUTELY LUXURIOUS! The booking process was easy and the pre-trip correspondence was reassuring. We stayed on Portland Roads and the boat was immaculate. Comfortable beds, modern kitchen, spacious living areas. It was well-equiped with everything we could need throughout our trip.The staff were enthusiastic and professional. They answered every single query and recommended us to the best places for fishing, snorkeling, swimming and fish sighting. Their knowledge of the area made our trip even better! Thank you so much Portland Roads for making our dream holiday come true! This is a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. To anyone thinking of taking this trip... DO IT!

Wow! What a holiday.( Whitsunday wonders beyond our expectations). Due to circumstances beyond our control our eventual numbers were reduced to level where we had inadequate knowledge and physicalresource to sail Lucy to its full potential: In stepped Captain John of Portland Roads to rescue the holiday. He skippered the boat, allowed us to participate as much as we wanted and we visited the "nooks and crannies" that we could only dream of reaching under our own efforts. A great tourism operator, very professional, clean and trouble free yachts, good support staff who made excellent recommendations to ensure we were safe but could experience the best of the Whitsundays (Mike) and people who go beyond normal expectations to make sure the customer is happy ( Richard).
