WOW - what an amazing experience! Went away with a couple of girlfriends for 5 nights and cant believe how simple navigating around the islands was. I boarded a very exhausted mum of 3 and disembarked refreshed and rested... my husband thinks it took 10 years off my face Ÿ˜‰ John and his team are consummate professionals and awesome to deal with. Best holiday ever and will be back again!
Sailing through the Whitsundays was such a magical experience. The staff at Portland Roads are amazing. Being able to sail this beautiful catamaran on our own was something else. A couple of hours crash course on how to sail and we were off. Knowing we had our trusty guide just on the other end of the phone for weather updates and hot tips on where to go was very reassuring. Definitely something we will do again. Thank you Portland Roads.
Respecting traditional owners and the environment which they operate. The boats are magnificent. The service outstanding. The location has to be seen. A truly breathtaking experience. Just book and live it. Life is not a dress rehearsel.
After 32 years of wanting to sail around the Whitsundays, and never having sailed before, I have finally just had one of the best experiences sailing in and around the Whitsundays with my husband and good friends. What a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable and fun time we had on the boat - and a big part of that was the excellent back up and support from John and his team at Portland Roads. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
What an experience! We had an unforgettable week on the Ruby Sunday and I cant recommend Portland Roads enough. The catamaran was equipped with everything we could need and Mike provided us with excellent tips and knowledge to make the most of the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. I would do it again in a heart beat!

We just came back from sailing the Whitsundays on Ruby Sunday a truly remarkable experience thanks to our skipper Josh. It was 28 to 31 degrees for the entire trip. We rate the boat 11 out of 10 and Josh the same.
Platinum package is the way to go! Biggest decision I made all week was where was the best spot to sit and soak up the wonderful views. Our skipper was fabulous - friendly, professional, competent, encouraging, a great chef and a wonderful host! Everything was organised for us and we had nothing to concern ourselves with. Thank you John and Portland Roads! Just perfect in every way!
Wow. What an amazing experience. We went with 4 parents and 4 teens. No complaints. No TV. V little internet. *** was simply the best boat. So well equipped. Delano was our trainer and person in charge back on the land. He was so patient and knowledgeable. He directed us to œthe best snorkelling in the world and the tinnie started first time every time. No mechanical problems plus we ran the AC at night and it was great. But half the team slept on deck. What a wonderful experience and memory for all
I highly recommend œLucy (the boat) Deano (The guy in charge on land) and Portland Roads. Everything was so organised and made as easy as possible. Nothing was missed. Deano suggested great mooring sites and snorkeling. So memorable.

Thanks you for an incredible experience. The Southern Man was a very stable and beautifully appointed boat! Great engines when you needed it against tides and stormy sees but sailed beautifully and last but not least great hit showers. An unforgettable experience. In short, we give you one of our million-dollar boats;
You’ll grab up to 8 family and friends to join you (loosely called your crew).
Then for as little as $199 per person, per sailing day, you will become the skipper and sail the Ngaro Waters and Islands of the Whitsundays (74 islands, but who’s counting?)
For 6 days / 5 Nights you will live in and on the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.
You will slip into Whitsundays time where your week with us will feel more like the most relaxing month of your life. You will live aboard one of our Lagoon Sailing Catamarans, sipping bubbles at sunset and cooking up a storm in the galley.
