These guys cared about us. We received a world class yacht which was in stellar condition. My finace, our son and I loved the whole experience and will be back. Service was a winner the entire time. The team gave us all the information we needed to try the adventure for ourselves but never feel out of our depth, they touched base with us as backup but were never in our pocket. Personally, it was some of the best time I've had with my son in years. The Whitsundays speak for themselves and are top three globally for us. Especially right now as it was less busy out there. So happy with did this trip, thanks Portland Roads.

Can not recommend highly enough. We sailed œLucy in July this year. 4 adults and 5 lucky little kids. We were very comfortable and have created memories we will never forget. John is wonderful, took extra time to ensure all of our questions were answered and we got the most out of our adventure. The knowledge that Portland Roads prioritise the environment and indigenous people of the Whitsundays makes the experience all the more special. Deano, the expert briefing and fishing advice and tips meant we were able to enjoy our trip without incident (also without any fish to speak of) but we would def consider paying you to take us to land a fish next time. Amazing Man to take a motley bunch with little to no sailing experience and turn them into a competent crew who can handle a boat on their own. We thank you. If you are considering a trip in the Whitsundays you simply cannot beat a boat trip with Portland Roads. The weather is stunning, the snorkelling is even better and the boat will take your breath away.

An absolute MUST

My time aboard Portland Roads is something I'll cherish forever. Surrounded by absolute bliss, Portland Roads was not only very spacious and comfortable but the staff really knew the best spots! Snorkeling was definitely one of my highlights, swimming with hundreds of fish, right infront of me! Absolutely incredible. Professional and knowledgable, our Skipper Josh, a Master Reef Guide, educated us endlessly on both the marine and indigenous culture surrounding the Whitsunday Islands. The food was amazing, catering to my food requirements. If that isn't enough, their eco-awareness and action is extremely admirable and a leap in the right direction for all marine companies. Guaranteed lifetime memories, I've said it once and I'll say it again - An absolute MUST!

Lucy is an absolutely beautiful boat and a pleasure to spend time aboard. She handles wonderfully and exceeds all expectations regarding comfort and amenities; a fantastic way to spend time in the awesome Whitsundays. The crew at Portland Roads are both personable and professional and went out of their way to ensure that we felt welcome and well-informed. Everything possible was done to ensure our trip was memorable for all the right reasons. Cannot speak highly enough if the entire experience, from start to finish. Highly recommend the boat, the staff and the company. Can't wait to do it all again!

Linda and I had the most enjoyable experience sailing the Whitsundays on-board the LUCY. This certainly was one of the best holidays we have had, which is quite a statement as we have travelled most of the world. What made our holiday extra special was having John Linton as our skipper. He took us to places we would have never seen if we sailed ourselves plus we enjoyed his humour and the training he provided not only in sailing but also snookering and cooking. Thanks John, will see you again for another trip in the future.

What a fantastic family holiday! The Portlands Road Team have been amazing from the time we enquired and booked to the time we got off the boat. Deano was our guide that showed us through the boat and checked in with us morning and night. What a legend that guy is! Nothing was too hard for him and he made the trip extra special. Lucy is an amazing boat for sailing or cruising. Its a house on water with all the bells and whistles you need. We visited some of the most beautiful locations (thanks to Deano for the tips) and enjoyed some of the best snorkelling and fishing while relaxing and taking in the scenery and sunsets.Its a must do for anyone that loves the sense of adventure.We will be back for sure.

A trip of a lifetime

Wow! What a phenomenal experience to spend a week sailing the Whitsunday seas on Portland Roads. From the moment our Master Reef Guide and Skipper Joshua informed us of the adventure we were about to embark on to the moment we waved Goodbye I felt completely safe, cared for and encouraged to make the most of the beautiful week holiday.The boat itself is stunningly equiped with all kitchen appliances, fridges and freezers, towels, comfortable bedding, towels, pillows, coffee machine, etc. There are numerous seating areas to enjoy meals, personal relaxing time, moments with your loved ones, panoramic views of the jaw dropping nature and many angles to catch a breeze.The nature we saw from the boat and islands we went to was beyond belief. I am so grateful for the focus on Indigenous and Ecological culture that was touched on throughout the whole trip. It goes such a long way to talk about these subjects and Joshua did an incredible job at bringing positive and inspiring attention to so. Not only do I feel like I have gone on a relaxing holiday but I feel like I've had a once in a lifetime experience. My heart is completely FULL! Thank you so much to the team behind Portland Roads. The back of the boat with the outdoor dining table made for the perfect meal/chill position, and for the sunny days the shade cloths were a perfect protection from the sun. The front of the boat is very spacious and with the comfortable daybeds made for an amazing afternoon watching the beautiful sunsets. Josh our skipper was INCREDIBLE! He was super friendly, very knowledgeable and took us to beautiful places! I also felt very safe with him in charge. I hope to get the chance to holiday with Portland Roads again very soon! And would highly recommend booking with them for anyone wanting a perfect holiday through the beautiful Whitsundays!

Wow. I cant even begin to put into words how amazing our trip on ˜Portland Roads boat was. The sunsets. The wildlife. The luxurious boat. The food! The Island exploring. The sailing! Did I mention Im a sailor now?(haha) The team at Portland Roads put all our fears to rest and made all our wildest dreams come true. With their environmental consciousness and connection to the local indigenous community we felt this experience aligned perfectly with our moral and ethical compass. The only way to see the Whitsundays!

After driving 15 hours from the Gold Coast to Airle Beach we were met by our skipper Josh and instantly at ease in his competent and caring hands. We have some sailing experience but were soooo glad we chose the skipper package (Master Reef Guide no less) so didnt have to worry about handling difficult tides or anchoring tricky conditions - Josh handled it all. He took us to such amazing islands that we never would have been able to find ourselves and showed us the MOST AMAZING reefs with the biggest fish I have ever snorkeled with in my life. Unforgettable. Truly magical. The whole trip was at whatever pace we wanted to set - lazy, relaxing days sun baking under the sail or island hopping and turtle spotting. The nights were spent star gazing with a glass of wine after delicious dinners. I cannot recommend this trip enough. Thank you Josh. Thank you Portland Roads for showing us how breathtaking our beautiful country is.

An unforgettable experience and incredible adventure! Surrounded by absolute bliss on a luxurious boat, our time couldn't have been better. Plenty of seating, storage, fridges and bathrooms, Portland Roads was very spacious and comfortable. Professional, knowledgable staff who felt like a friend - Our Skipper was Josh, a Master Reef Guide who educated us endlessly on both the marine and indigenous culture surrounding the Whitsunday Islands. My food intolerances were catered to, with food tasting even better than at home! If that isn't enough, their eco-awareness and action is extremely admirable and a leap in the right direction for all marine companies. Portland Roads is a MUST.
