What a great boat is the lagoon 380, we had *** for twenty nights. Shes easy to pilot, having good vision of the mooring bouys makes picking them up reasonably easy, and she handles rough seas incredibly well. We were sailing around the effects of cyclone Owen and had some testing weather, ruby Sunday felt safe all the way through, we just had to hang on, what a buzz.

Shes a bit slower than the bigger lagoons with just the motors going, however she gives them a run for their money under sail.

Wow we had such a superb family holiday. Our two family groups met up so there was 7 of us in total. Our briefer Mike helped guide us to the best bays for overnights as the winds changed and we enjoyed our twice daily interactions with him. Our favourite spots were Blue Pearl Bay and Butterfly Bay. Other highlights included fabulous sailing in 20 knot winds and patting bat fish (huge angel fish) off the back of the yacht. No stingers, sharks or cyclones so a perfect Christmas/New Year holiday thank you Portland Roads.

Why has no one told me about this before?

Between the six of us it was the best value holiday possible. I thought nothing much before the charter, I'm not really sure what I was thinking. Thanks to *** for helping everything run so smoothly- you're a natural. And what happened once we arrived was purely magic, great boat, *** was amazing and sailing is my new passion. *** to captain in one week. I even like Rod Stewart singing sailing on high rotation

This was our 4th Whitsundays charter, but the first time with these guys. Customer service, support, guidance, boats, but best of all - their people, are quite simply number 1 - And the islands never let us down.

We had humid and wet weather most of the week, but nothing could put a dampener on this holiday.

We said before this trip that it would be our last to the Whitsundays, but a week on Portland Roads and sailing with these guys has changed everything - See you next year

We had a fabulous time on ***s catamaran œSouthern Man. It was a beautiful boat, in excellent condition and very functional, particularly with all the living space on the one level. There were en-suites for each cabin which was fantastic. Mark went over and above to make sure the experience was a good as possible. He was always available when we had questions, and he decked the boat out with extras such as a coffee machine and soda stream. He also fitted a TV which we didnt end up using as we just loved snorkling, sailing, hiking, watching the sunrises and sunsets, and playing cards.

We loved it so much we will be back next year.

That was simply the best. We came over from Denver USA for a 3 month holiday in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and parts of Queensland. Everything had been wonderful until we boarded Portland Roads, then things stepped up to the next level - Damn! It was brilliant. So cheap when divided between our crew of 8. If this was in our backyard we'd be here every holiday. A week ago we were all ready to go home, now we all wish to stay. A huge customer service tick from our crew to yours - World class with a quirky accent. THANK YOU Portland Roads, so, so cool.

Firstly our sincerest thanks go to *** whose service to ensuring our trip was the absolute best experience was another level. He took all care and responsibility to ensure that all our mooring spots were diverse, beautiful, and most importantly safe. He carefully crafted a well thought out itinerary with lots of exciting spots on the way. The boat itself was perfectly fitted out and we did not lack for a thing on board. Everything was immaculate clean upon our arrival and all efforts were made by *** and his team to help us disembark as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Thanks again for absolutely everything and we look forward to travelling on any of your Portland vessels again in the near future. Weve got the bug!
